Ugh thats an awesome price for the UAP-AC-LR’s I’d grab a handful, but that price says to me that the wifi6 models are just around the corner, and they’re running out old stock.

Yup the WiFi 6 versions of the Lite and LR are both available outside of the Early Access Store in US now so I expect the AU models will appear in the coming weeks.

Ubiquiti products are always released later here. Don't be surprised if the wifi 6 APs take months to show up.

        • They've already been somewhat available in the US for months.

          • @DonWilson: Yeah in EA. Reviews have only gone live in the last 2 weeks.

@Twix: Ugh. I really wanted to set up a network with the WiFi6 versions by Feb. Kinda have to do it by then regardless. I really hope they're on shelves by then.

      • Had a look a few days ago and the US store had preorders open for mid Jan shipment. So yeah, very soon.

I believe the 6 Lites are $99USD, so they should be fairly affordable locally. Not $139 cheap, but probably not heaps more.

There’s the ‘LR’ coming too which takes the place of the Pro or Nano too. US pricing is the same as the existing Nano, which should give a ballpark to what it’ll cost here.

Will this work in an asus ax mesh network? Minus the wifi 6 capability

Nah the Unifi LR will be on it's own SSID.

  • While I purchased the Benq screenbar at a considerably lower price during Black Friday, I can vouch for it being worth every cent (even at this price). I have it sitting on top of my Dell U3818DW and it is amazing to use at night time. Highly recommend for anyone working in low light areas.

      • My ISP is Telstra, do you think I should get the nest or Deco?

        • Depends what features you want. Both are suitable with Telstra.

          • @Twix: Tbh I just want it to be fast & reliable which I know they both are so that's why I find it hard to pick one haha. I lean towards the Nest as I have an assortment of Google smart home products already and I have access to the good guys commercial so iI can get a Nest wifi 2 pack for $286. However reviews online seem to favour Deco so that's why I struggle to decide.

            • @JAF: You can't really go wrong. If you use Google Assistant go Nest wifi or if you prefer more Ethernet ports go the Deco.

  • Superloop on HFC…
    Thanks

    • Both are suitable with Superloop. Hook 1 of them up to the NBN box.

        Thanks

  • Can we price match at Officeworks…? Thanks

OW price beat guarantee can be used for Nest wifi. OW don't sell the Deco M9 in a 3-pack.

Thought it worth updating that whilst the BOXING 10% dialog box no longer shows, Wireless1's UAP-AC-LR the code still works. I just purchased at the $139 price noted above.
