I only just got the MX Master a few weeks ago. Not much need for me to upgrade to a 3 given I don't game.
There's a significant DPI boost between the Master and Master 3s. Enough that you may notice it in day to day stuff.
I have this mouse, got this for mac for office use. The side mouse buttons thats used for back and front navigation double clicks on mac. Tried a few tricks and none work. Anybody has a solution that works?
I use an app called USB Overdrive to map those buttons

have you tried the logitech MX software or whatever its called? logitech options now maybe?
@Laserface: Doesnt help, I had it installed even before the mice was purchased for the keyboard I use.
Sounds like a problem with your config. You can map those buttons to do certain tasks that are application specific. For me, switching between worksheets in Excel is a PITA so mine are mapped to navigate between each sheet.
Try a clean install of Logi Options and try it again.
Tried all of those stuff, the suggested solution is to use logitech gaming software which apparently wont work on big sur. This is a problem with just the master3.
I'm running mine on a MBP M1 with Big Sur and it's seamless. Between that and the MX Keys, I'm in productivity heaven lol
Have you tried another computer? Or with bluetooth vs USB (or vice versa)? Short of that, return and exchange it under warranty.

Unfortunately all the solutions go back to the older version of the OS where one could install Logitech gaming software. Big Sur aint getting one because of a lot of changes (and probably want to sell thier own mice more) and trying the same on options didnt help.
@John Doh: Hmmm, that's really odd. On my MBP via BT, I had it up and running in a few minutes and it hasn't skipped a beat. Unless there's a difference between the business and standard versions (outside of the colour)…?

@KangaDrew: Finally got it working, had to try a few different settings (individual applications settings in the logi options software). Too bad I was lazy all these days and didnt use the mouse. lol.
If you’re connecting via Bluetooth it may be related to well documented Bluetooth issues with Big Sur. Fix apparently ‘coming soon’.
@outofgamut: Are you referring to the keyboard lag on Big Sur? I have that issue with the MX Keys (not the Master 3) but only when using Webex, Zoom, Google Meet or MS Teams. Any time I have a VC call going, I can't have a Slack conversation at the same time with my colleagues on the call because it is painfully laggy.
Using the WiFi receiver fixed the issue though, but I originally purchased it for the BT connection. Hoping that fix comes soon because I want to free up that USB slot on my monitor :-)

This lol. I've ordered heaps from the UK via amazon especially those pc fans. Issue I just discovered if it comes from amazon UK, you have to return it at your cost to amazon UK if it's simply change of mind - if somebody could correct me if i am wrong on this.
@CalmLemons: On the UK return I did last week, Amazon return label is via Australia Post Global. There was nothing to pay. I just had to drop it off at the Post. I haven't got the refund yet, though. I guess I have to wait until they unpack it in the UK.

It doesn't have a screen, keyboard or operating system, so it might be limited as a laptop. I guess you could tap out morse code with some of the buttons.
