Anyone have a pic of the barcode for instore use?

  • I signed up as a VIP Member a couple of months ago. I did not receive the welcome reward email, nor did I receive the birthday reward for my birthday the other day. I am yet to receive this one or in fact any marketing emails from spotlight. I checked to make sure my email was correct and that I was opted in. I also checked my junk folder to no avail. I understand that I could use the promo codes posted here but unsure why I would not be receiving such communications.

Are you with TPG (or one of their subsidiaries)? I had a similar problem (had been receiving emails but then they stopped).
I changed from my iinet email address to my Gmail email address - problem fixed - started receiving emails straight away (didn't explain why I wasn't getting text messages though, as I was signed up for text & email communication).

Spotlight email reply to my query - "Thank you for getting in touch. Further to your email, upon checking your account, we can see that your email address is linked to TPG thus the reason why you are not receiving email catalogues. Unfortunately anyone that comes under the TPG provider, they have denotes all Spotlight emails to SPAM, and therefore not getting through to the customers.
Unfortunately, we cannot do anything on our end to unblock this. However, in order for your to receive our email catalogues, you will need to contact your ISP (TPG) and ask them to unblock Spotlight emails or add our email address in to your contact
      list."

      • Thanks for the input. My internet and phone are both with Telstra. I'm opted in to SMS too but have never received one. I might try adding spotlight to my contact list and see if that helps.

    • I've been a member for 2 years and received one flyer at the end of last year after I just spent $700. No emails or anything else sent to me

  • $69 in Aldi as well. I think it is 6.8kg.

Koo branded stuff I’ve bought from there is rubbish….

    • Massively agree, I bought the last koo weighted blanket that was on sale and it's a furnace (also really small, I'm 174cm 75kgs)

    • I have no feelings on the item, I just needed something to put in the title :)

The last time I bought online from spotlight I needed an iron and added a few crap little items to make up the minimum spend to apply the voucher.

They emailed me to tell me the iron I wanted wasn't available(!!?) So they'd refund that part.

I replied immediately cancelling the order, but received no response until after they'd gone ahead and shipped it days later.

I am amidst getting a refund, but they've told me repeatedly and in no uncertain terms that they will not refund the postage I paid for the items I didn't want in the order I cancelled.

Buyer beware. I have heard this is not uncommon, especially on sale items.

I also recently had a bad experience with their online store. I purchased a rug on clearance ($39) and a rug gripper ($9) + $13 shipping
They refunded my PayPal $39 as the rug became out of stock and they ended up sending me a rug gripper that I now have no need for and I'm out of pocket $22. I asked for the order to be cancelled however they weren't very helpful and proceeded to send out item.
