$10 Cashback on amaysim Mobile SIM Only Plan $15 for 65GB, 1st Renewal Only @ Cashrewards & Shopback

140

Both Cashrewards and ShopBack are offering $10 cashback on Amaysim's $15 65GB mobile plan for the first 28 day renewal. It is listed as a 50GB plan under ShopBack because the base plan is 50GB.

Remember to turn off auto renewal at their account portal.

Billing period is 28 days, not the full calendar month (so 13 renewals per year vs 12 if you choose to stick with them).

Is prepaid and they allow you to continue receiving calls and texts for 12 months after expiry, which is longer than any other telco offering prepaid plans AFAIK.

Uses the Optus network (and now owned by Optus, if you've been following the news).

Both Cashrewards and ShopBack only allow one purchase per month per account (so 2 per month if you have accounts with both of them).

  • Trying to get my head around the maths here.

So is that $15 for three months altogether, therefore $5 a month for 21.6GB data?

    • I was a bit confused too. Title should be:

$10 Cashback on amaysim Mobile SIM Only Plan $15 for 50GB/28 Days

    • Sorry, I should have specified: You pay Amaysim $15, Cashrewards/ShopBack give you $10 back if you click through them, effective cost is $5 for the first month only.

The first 3 renewals thing you're seeing is just for the extra 15GB at the full price of $40. After the first 3 months, it drops down to 50GB, still for $40.

Would be less confusing if you leave renewals in the description

I am refusing to be a customer of a company that has 13 monthly charges per year.

    • Vodafone prepaid is now 28 days as well

Reduce 2 days but add unlimited data @ 1.5Mbps. Its a good change.

        • Did not notice it before. Thanks.

@io: Actually, the speed was not capped on Sunday after my data run out. I have not tested it since Monday.

          • +1

@io: Speed is still not capped. Unlimited data really.

            • @Neoika: Excellent, thank you.

@io: Hi There, Your Prepaid Plus recharge expires today at 11:59 PM AEDT. If you have Automatic Recharge activated, we'll recharge your service. Once expired, you can use any remaining add-ons, and then you'll be charged from any remaining My Credit at My Credit rates. To check your balance, SMS 'BAL' to 1511 or head to vodafone.com.au/myvf Thanks, Your Vodafone Team.

I got a feeling VF starts charging PAYG rates after expiry now. Really have to watch out the expiry date.

  • This use to be $12 with $8 cash back. I ordered one last night.

Shouldn't the deal be linked to the CR or SB pages?

No good deals from amaysim any more since optus bought it.

  • when must it be activated by?

At the order page you need to tell them if you're porting or getting a new number. I hate this. They should just give me the sim and let me decide at the time I activate it.

    • For Cashback, it has to be activated within 30 days. You may check the T&C on cashback sites.

  • Does the $10 count towards the $10 confirmed purchases for the friends rebate?

  • I'm not sure what I did wrong but mine was activated on the date of purchase. I lost a few days as it was being sent through the mail.

    • +1

Thats normal. You may get auto reset after initial use or live chat to reset.

  • I purchased $20 80GB plan with $14 cashback. Extra $1 gets 15GB more.

    Cashrewards:

Cashback is eligible for new and existing amaysim customers purchasing a new SIM.

    Shopack:

Cashback is only applicable for Customers getting a New Service (SIM) & New Sign Ups (New Customers)

    • Just create a new account if you use Shopback.

    • Well spotted with T&C variations. Lucky I happened to choose CR as previous customer with no active service. I'll be more mindful when I choose one between two.
