Looks like a boxing day/week special. Also looks like Microsoft will be having some sort of $50 cashback on kinect sensor bundles. If your just after the sensor this is a good deal

Combine with the paypal cashback to get it for $78

Might be good to pick up an xbox 360 for $168 from HN then this for $88 and you have a xbox+kinec for $256

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/59959

Or just get this one before the 24 Dec for $269 after cashback

  • I want this. Lol. but i don't neeeed it :(

  • I thought the cashback was only for kinect+console bundles.
I can't find any cashback for the sensor only.

may by an advertising stuff up by BigW…
you don't (according to the current T&Cs) get $50 cashback just on the sensor.

    http://www.kinectoffer.com.au/tc/

If the T&Cs change, then is a good deal.

    • yeah more likely this than microsoft changing the terms

  • If u notice the xbox+kinect cashback ends on the 24 and the link is
    http://www.kinectoffer.com.au/

    The kinect sensor one is

    www.xbox.com.au/kinectcashback (still not live)
    and begins on the 26
    Possibly different offers?

    • Don't seem like it, the Link is still not active….

as low as $78, assuming free delivery online using http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60173

    • Thanks, added

    • You had to go and add that didn't you. Making it even harder to resist.

      • Yes.have to empty ur bank account some how to match mine. :p

On Sale the 26th Dec to 4th Jan. Not currently active

    • +2

like it says. boxing day/week special

      • -6

I believe if you check the rules it says : POST only active deals.

        • +1

It was also stated in a previous bargain that one week out is Ok. it's only 5 days away.

        • The reference to active deals doesn't refer to deals that are not active due to the date not reached or deals confirmed to be available in the foreseeable future. It more to do with sites that promote "we need so many votes or bids till this deal goes live."

          From the rules

Only deals that are active are allowed to be posted on Ozbargain. A deal is considered active when a user goes to purchase the deal and their sale is immediately finalised. A deal is inactive when a site requires X amount of people for the purchase to go through and that number hasn't been reached. (e.g. 35 bought, 65 more required to get the deal)

        • I wonder what your reaction to the IKEA deal would have been :P

(it was posted a few months before it actually started)

  • @Dy4me I bet your in charge of counting the paper clips at your workplace. This is a free site Get over it. Its Xmas
Does this mean that this shouldn't be on here either? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60176

    • +1

I think you meant danj303 dy4me is the OP

    • +2

I agree - the BS that goes on in this site over the rules say this, the rules say that.

I accept we need rules or it is chaos, but the reasonable person test would suggest this deal is well worth publishing now - it might even stop someone going and buying a kinect sensor pre-xmas for the inflated price of ~$188 WITHOUT any cashback option.

      • I was only trying to point out that it would be helpful to have the actual validity period in the details so that people dont have to try and find them in the relevant catalogue or head out and buy one now thinking they will get the rebate.

        • +2

          Did u not read?

Looks like a boxing day/week special

        • The OP said from the get go that it was.. "Looks like a boxing day/week special."

  • So does the $50 Cash back work on this - Kinect only?

  • Target has the same deal in their catalogue $138 with $50 cashback so I don't think it's an error

    • is this a new catalogue? havent seen it yet

      • Yeah got it in todays paper.

  • Great

  • Yep, saw the leaflet at DSE today, then read the fine print for it starting 26/12.
I'd be annoyed if I jumped and bought it today…..

  • I've heard some rumblings about "Kinect 2" lately, so just keep in mind this might explain why Microsoft are offering the $50 cashback. Rumour has it Kinect 2 will be accurate enough to read lips and facial expressions.

$78 is still a great price though, even if it does get superseded in 2012. And knowing Microsoft, that may push out to 2013 anyway…

  • Bought one yesterday at EB games who price matched it based on the the Big W catalogue website on my phone. If you're impatient you might have some luck ..

    • +1

Did they price match the $138 only though? Do you miss out on the $50 cashback by buying it now? And what about the Big W $10 rebate for PayPal?

    • +1

yes if ur impatient u price match and pay 138. If ur patient, u only pay 78. and if u play too much kinect u will be a patient.

  • To save $50 I will wait

  • -6

    Sold out online instantly, pointless.

    • +1

ever heard of shopping instore? not a good enough reason to neg

  • Postage online was $7 so you only save $3 online in the end

  • +3
    • Anyone have a clue whether this would be available instore?

      • Yes, I picked up two from South Wharf today. They had about 6-7 on display.

  • For anyone taking up this offer, the Big W catalogue is wrong. The URL for the cash back is http://kinectoffer.com.au/

  • This offer is also at Harvey Normans but the display box does not show the included games. I had to ask for the extra games so keep this in mind if you go there. Bundall HV had 6 left and all the JB-HIFI stores on the Gold Coast, according to a staff member, had none left.

  • When you submit the redemption form online, are you supposed to get a confirmation email? I was trying on Monday and couldn't load the page at first due to server errors, then when I clicked to upload the scanned receipt it instantly said submission complete and no confirmation has come through.

    • Apart from the web page saying "Your submission is complete" (or something to that extent) I haven't received anything in the last 10 mins after submitting mine. We'll know more on 29/2/2012! ;)

      • Same for me. No confirmation via email at all.

  • JB HiFi and Big W are both showing out of stock on their web sites.
Good Guys are advertising this bundle for $137, pay less pay cash.
