I've only got 3 devices though :( Oh well, in the bin you go

    But really, thanks!

  • Nice, been reusing the 3m trials

Definitely recommend Bitdefender but just use the free one.

  • While Defender was a POC in the past it seems to be as good as any according to recent tests (if we can trust the tests) https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/

    • Defender is solid, it's becoming the defacto AV of choice for large enterprise, government etc.

      Person of colour?

      • Purple/Orange Carrots

        • I think they meant POS maybe?

I can’t remember that though. Everyone seemed to switch from AVG to Defender/MSE to Bitdefender and that was a long time ago now.

  • Good deal..thanks OP

  • is it recommendable for Android mobile s?

  • will this be an ongoing offer or temporary? I know you can get 90 day trials any time and keep signing up for new ones with a throwaway email address. This would mean doing it half as frequently, which is nice.

  • They are shithouse at organizing accounts.. they withdrew money a month before my 12mths expired… 2 yrs in a row.

the last time after email tennis telling them to refund me and I'll pay when Im ready - they offered me 3 years instead for same price… so took it.

Sounds like their marketing tactics worked. Seems that they managed to force you into being 'ready'.

      • Good marketing - 2yrs for $0 :) I'll go with that marketing again in 3yrs time for sure

  • I have been using bitdefender from many years now on many systems including mac and I am very happy with its perfomance.

  • I had a bitdefender 1 year subscription recently, but i could not find a way to turn off notifications. You always get annoying notifications to enable VPN and whatnot, extremely annoying when gaming. Would not recommend.

    • IME The free version actually hassles you less than the paid version.

  • Was this a scam site? I can't get it, just says "javascript void(0)"

Don't bother, this is pointless software if you're running Windows 10

    For existing customers:

When it redirects you to create a new account, look at the url. The code is near the end. You can use that code on an existing account, that way you don't have to keep creating new accounts.

    E.g. login.bitdefender.com/central/[email protected]&redirect_url=https:%2F%2Fcentral.bitdefender.com%2Fdevices%3Fservice%3Dadd_code%26code%3Def5298c0-772e-44fd-8b38-678990017592&lang=en_AU

    License code: ef5298c0-772e-44fd-8b38-678990017592

After adding the code to your account, you have to go to manage device allocation to change your devices to the new license.

I've been doing this for years with the 3 month trials.

    • Going to start doing this, great advice, thank you!

    • Thanks heaps

Tried it but got this message "Your account is not eligible for this type of license. Use a different one or contact Support."

      • Again, need to use VPN when activating code

    • Awesome pro tip this worked for me will try again in 6 months time!

    • This has stopped working, I just tried it today with both the old activate code page and the new activate code page.

    • Again, need to use VPN when activating code

      • I was, but I was using a US location rather than Germany.
        Anyways, it's working now. Thanks.

If something like this is free, you are the product.

Also completely pointless if you use Windows 10 and have common sense.

  • Cheers!

  • For those still sniffing around for Bitdefender 180 day trial…

Used below link via vpn in UK & Germany & it worked ok. - German website.

    • Looks like its also been shut down.

  • Need to use VPN to Germany and link works
