      Comes with G-Sync?

    • +5

Yes, and the switch is really hard to find for some people.

To be honest though, it’s a refreshing change from the angular ‘gamer’ garbage that has dominated for the past 15 years.

    • +2

      Yonic, I believe.

compare with MSI , which is better ? https://www.mwave.com.au/product/msi-meg-aegis-ti5-gaming-pc…

    • +3

      That's over twice as much?

    • I think you meant which is uglier. I vote MSI fugly.

      • design has never been their strongpoint, even back in the day i remember drooling at the specs of some of their stuff but ugh..

    • Compare - as in which is the most ugly?

    • it looks like a helmet

    • Why would they even bother with an HDD at that price point.

  • -5

man i'm getting sick of these crap so called deals…..- big yank companies don't have any problem getting yank cards do they…

  • -5

A rtx 3080 doesn’t interest rich people. Rich kids also doesn’t show off their pc builds. They also don’t play games nor on Twitch.

    • -1

      You wouldn’t know.

  • +8

    pretty awful looking airflow

    • This thing would cook eggs with a 3080.

Mine had a 230mm fan on side of the case and it still cooked lol.

  • +14

is it me but does this look like one of them delongi nespresso machines

    • +1

Thought it was a bladeless fan until i saw the title.

  • did anyone got this? and if so are you happy with it?

    • I think I've seen some Youtubers can these style Dells, or atleast similar enough builds.

There'd be better prebiilts though Dell is great for warranty.

    • +1

I bought one and so did my business partner because of mentioned 3080 shortages.

We are both loving the computer. Gaming has been great with it and I use it more than my PS5 and Series X for gaming at the moment. Its had little trouble running anything Ive thrown at it. We both wanted it mainly for Cyberpunk and it definitely runs that great.

    • It's excellent and worth the $5k if you can afford it. Two drawbacks -

      i) box is not 3.5 friendly. You can fit one, maybe two, but you are literally using up every ounce of space inside.
ii) the R11 is very, very loud when gaming and the card reaches 80c. You'd probably want to consider extra cooling, something I will look at soon.

          U wot?

        • Think you mean German

  • I've had bad experiences with Alienware, it bricked itself after a firmware update

    • +2

i've only ever had good experiences, i even still have my m11xr3 kicking around

  • +3

Is this the model where you rub the skull logo at the top with your finger to turn it on?

    • +10

      Only if it consents…

      • +3

When you're a star, you can do anything. You can grab them by the Aurora R11.

    • not your finger

      Daft Punk tribute.

      • +1

Sadly, Daft Punk are calling it a day and will soon be parting ways. So long and thanks for all the beats!

        • +2

Hence the mention of a tribute.

  • I approve of the design.

  • Seems to be a decent price

  • $4k so you can finally play crysis.

Also PC gamers “check out my fps”

  • +1

I think I'd have trouble finding the spot to turn it on… story of my life.

  • -1

But.. this isn't cheap for those specs?

  • This or a Ford Edsel?

    • skoda's are upmarket

  • which 3080 card is in there? It has a DVI port.

    • +1

      They are nvidia made cards
      Dell alwys buys direct
Technically you could say it’s “dell branded” but if you’re arch some YouTube videos you can see they are nvidia branded.

    • They made for Dell, they're quite a bit shorter than normal 3080s

    • It's a custom card with a second "card" that occupies 2 more PCIe slots on the case and has the rad for water-cooling the GPU.

I think the 3080 does not have a DVI port, it's an old stock image. Don't think any nVidia cards have had DVI since the 20 series

      • I do not think they all have the RAD

Do not shoot me for admitting this but i got this machine a few weeks ago (slightly changed the specs but got the 3080 version) and when i opened the tower the RAD is not presnet like it is in the older versions (as reviewed on youtube and stuff)

I could also be completely blind

my card has 3X Display Port and 1X HDMI

  • get it, sell the video card lol

    • That is literally the opposite of what you'd want to do.. isn't $2500 for the rest a ripoff?

      • no, people are willing to pay more for the card

      • the GPU alone is worth more than half of the total system. You looked at prices recently?

        • +1

          $1875 for a 3080?

The whole techfast 3080 system was <$2300 iirc.

          • @justtoreply: how long ago was that?

I would be impressed if you can find a 3080 for $1875 that's in stock right now. These things are gone within seconds even at $2000.

  • +4

Another horribly overpriced and overstyled Dell prebuilt. I'm convinced people only buy Alienware for clout now

    • nah i couldnt be bothered to assemble my own pc, and i wanted something compact that could run a few strategy games, so i got an alienware alpha
a while back i wanted something to travel and take to friends places to play games, so i got an alienware m11xr1 then r3, maybe some of you werent even born when those came out :/

    • rock solid, works, GPU in stock, dont need the hassle of building my own… shrug …

  • +1

Didn’t enthusiasts wet their pants when 3080 was announced to be $1,000 rrp and 2 times 2080 performance? Now it is what? $1,800?

    • If you want it now instead of preorder

      Maybe need $2000

  • I got one of these before Christmas… runs well and reliable but LOL when the fans kick in … thank god I play with headphones on but the heat being pumped out of these things is amazing.

  • +1

This is a terrible deal for those specs lol, it hinges purely on desperation to get a card. Smh people paying for last-gen performance/price.

    • +1

the whole deal is based on overpriced rtx3080.

if you value a 3080 at $2000,then the price is not too bad.

And yes I am puzzled who is buying all the overpriced graphic cards these days other than miners.

  • Does this run standard Hardware or is it still dell spec Proprietary MOBO/PSU

    • Proprietary stuff with Dell, not just AlienWare, but all their desktops.

  • Will this run minecraft on 4k?
