It's OK, but I wouldn't buy these if that's your main concern. OK for talking to colleagues, probably not great for talking to say, clients
I have these - I'd agree. I use a separate mic. The problem seems to be more with the limitations of the Bluetooth codec rather than the microphone itself. (other people may be able to clarify further)
As others on this thread are saying that the Bose has good Call/Mic quality, I doubt that the Bluetooth codec is the limitation here
Get the Bose for Call/Mic quality. Its never been a strong point of the Sony's. Its primary function - NC is top notch though.
Have the Bose and can say the microphone is surprisingly decent
Bose have a lot of experience in this space, particularly in the Aviation industry. Sony not so much.
TBH I don't think I will be on a plane any time soon. can you recommend a good headset (BT or wired) good for meetings and good for music?
While not in the same league as these cans (in price either :p ) I'm using a set of Taotronics BH090s wired and using the microphone in my notebook as they don't support the microphone wired. Bluetooth mic is too hit and miss for quality.
Wired beats wireless all day in terms of sound and microphone quality. Bluetooth just doesn't carry the same quality. However wireless is more convenient. At work, they provide us with Jabra Evolve 40 headsets (wired) which are very good for calls. Or you can just use your laptop mics, they should be fine.

Using these for zoom meetings was so bad I returned them
But excellent sound and NC if that's what you want

Good point. Anyways I grabbed one yesterday. Coupled with eBay gift cards, good deal happy overall. On top of that, tgg also gave me a $10 credit voucher by sms which was a nice surprise I didn’t expect
Great headphones got them for this price about 2 months back, the NC is outstanding an overall build and sound quality is worth the money. The mic is decent for meetings etc and also does active noise cancelling so great for walking and talking outdoors for you and for the person on the other end.
Overall worth it at this price.
