Before you activate make sure you get a referral code from a friend already with Belong or the OzBargain Belong pool for an additional $20 credit.

Option 1 (4 Months 13GB) - Activate on the $25 10GB per month plan. Then switch to the $10 1GB per month plan for the 2nd & remaining months. The first 4 months cost is covered ($40 starter pack credit plus $20 referral credit) $5.00 will be left over for the 5th month.

Option 2 (3 Months 42GB) - Activate on the $40 40GB per month plan. Then switch to the $10 1GB per month plan for the 2nd & remaining months. The first 3 months cost is covered ($40 starter pack credit plus $20 referral credit) and data rolls over every month or can be gifted.

I thought you offered a $10 smaller 1G plan?
We did, but as of 23 July Belongs $10 plan will no longer be available for new sign-ups. Once you've signed up, you'll be able to change over to the $10 plan at the start of your next billing month.

You can cancel your service by notifying us. We’ll cancel your service within 24 hours. It may take up to 24 hours to process your request, so you’ll need to let us know at least 24 hours before the start of the next monthly bill cycle. If you want to keep your number then port out before cancelling your service.

    Handy if you need something to port to from Kogan 90 days 60GB $14.90.
    The Kogan / Belong 204GB 12 month sim slut plan is $69.80.

    Also the $25 starter pack is on special now for $10.00.

    I've been using this as my business phone number in a dual sim phone for the last 12 months. The number 1 thing that shits me is that there's no voicemail. Otherwise, has been great to have effectively free mobile for the last year (using an $80 kit that came with my belong broadband and have had a couple of people use my OzB referral link over the last 12 months to get me over the line!)

    Believe me YOU WILL BELONG to them forever. Sending STOP Or cancel mean nothing with their enthusiastic debt collectors. Have Telecommunications industry ombudsmen on speed dial is the best option should you want to join BELONG.

        You bet I did. In fairness after the TIO became involved it resolved quickly - something to do with "indefensible I believe. Just like with the old AMAYSIM only they sent my money to the public trustee for the last laugh on me having to jump through hoops to get it.

      Just port your number away before your anniversary date. Then create a support request for service cancellation.

          Belong finally came good on the terms where it says you'll only get credit if you refer a new user to mobile and you're a mobile customer/new user to Internet and you're an Internet customer. The funny thing is that it's the same referral code. Pretty silly, but that's how they did it. So now we have two pools for referrals, one for Mobile and another for Internet.

    I'm currently with Belong and was about to port out (as am about to run out of data). Someone just used my referal code and I now have the referral credit, which I could use to buy data, but looks like only 2gb, but need more for a phone update.

    What happens if you port out (most likely to Vodafone), but don't cancel your account?

    Basically, is there any way to keep your referal credit for a month's time or so?

        Cheers, but I bought the $10 coles Vodafone starter pack with $5 gift card and need to activate in 30 days.

        So if I port out, will I lose the $20 referal credit?

        I believe if you sign up again later, your account will still exist (not considered a new user).

          In last year, credit remained in my belong account for more than 6 months, after port out. But I am not sure in this year, they may have some changes.

            @sydracing: I asked support. Others may find this interesting.

            1. They said the referal credit in my account can't be used for data top ups. If I chose data top up, it will come from my registered payment and the credit will remain.

            2. If you port out, then come back you won't be eligible for any future referal credit. You would need to sign up from scratch with a new email address. With email aliases, why do they bother?

      The cheapest plan you can sign up with is the $25 plan which gives you 10GB data. After your service is active with Belong you can then switch to the $10 per month plan which will take effect from the next month of your service. I did this just last month when I transferred my service to Belong.

    Since they nuked the $10/month sign-up option, I find that for those people looking at Option 1, buying the $25 SIM pack (when on sale for $10) is likely to deliver better value overall - providing 3 months of coverage and 12GB of data. Happy to be corrected if I've got it wrong!
