    Can't say for the Lenovo but the Dell USFF with 6500 is kinda noisy with fan ramping up/down due to the tiny heatsink. So might not be great for HTPC.

  I have two of the m930 Tiny's that I've picked up off ebay - the i5/8GB runs my Plex server really well, the i7/16GB runs VMWare ESX7 for my home lab.

  Very quite and low power draw, well worth it.

    I don't think make any difference. This is not brand new device, it probably Ex Gov/business items which they bought/source already have them. Probably hardware bounded OEMs key which isn't worth a lot.
