Got this myself last year and it has been a great dishwasher

    Yeah we have Bosch appliances. Dishwasher is quiet and reliable and Bosch customer service is very good.

      Just replaced a Samsung washing machine with bosch. i agree their after sale service is great

    Bosch dishwashers are good - we have this model. 2 things to note:

    1. It has a cutlery basket, not a cutlery tray. This may bother some people (as it takes room away on the bottom tray.
    2. It's very easy for objects to protrude through the bottom tray, and block the rotation of the lower spray arm.

    Overall, these are great dishwashers, and the price appears pretty good.

        So it does. My apologies. The series 4 that we have is a couple of years old. Looks like they have since fitted a cutlery tray!

          @NinjaChicken: Phew, I was hoping I hadn't been reading it wrong and it wasn't an optional extra.
          We might still prefer the basket for the speed of loading but we'll see!

    I have had the white version of this a couple of years, it has worked well except for a period where the hose would block up with fat. Repositioned the hose, and now clean it with dishwasher cleaner once a month and troubles ceased.

    And as noted cutlery basket which takes up room but is quicker to load. YMMV.
    Overall good value for money, but I think I paid less ( white version), but the AUD would have been doing better back then.

    Yes it can, dishwasher terminology is a bit confusing.

    Freestanding = normal
    Integrated = you have to build it into your kitchen cabinets.

    And the top 'lid' can be unscrewed as well so you've just got the soundproofing and can level out (at least with my Smeg).

    just replace mine recently. found out this
    Freestanding, under-bench and integrated are all different. Freestanding.. self explanatory, if your space fit perfectly especially the height then you can use it as under bench, height adjustment are very minimal (in the specification it tell height. Under-bench come with no side and top plate and the height adjustment and wider range (in the specification it tell you the height range rather then fix height like in the freestanding) and additional to that it have side screw feet to push against both side of the cabinet. The integrated ones have control top inside lids so you can stick the fascia to match you cabinets without covering the control. Although some manufacturers built them in combination of these 3.

      Is Under Bench Dishwasher same as Freestanding? Can just insert it in an existing space for dishwasher?

        the underbench version height are highly adjustable to fit the height of your bench. the side have screw feet to stick against both side to stop the unit slide in and out.

  Can someone please tell me if this information is right? My understanding is that serie 6 and 8 are made in Germany while others are made in Turkey.

    correct, only Series 6 above are made in Germany
    Thought I didn't experience any quality issues with the Turkey made Series 4 so far
    IMO they are still in high quality built

  I bought serie 6 few months ago and it works like a charm. I use 29 mins quick wash cycle. Excellent quality product.
