That looks like 18/0 stainless steel, which loses its appearance over time.
If you get a good set with 18/10 stainless steel, it will look great for decades.
Edit: Stanley Rodgers has a few “Baguette” sets for only a bit more money, but with 18/10 steel. They’re the better buy.

Agreed, Peters of Kensington has been my go to for kitchen stuff for a while now.
Or just Ikea. It lasts forever. I have never had an issue with Ikea cutlery, or met anyone who has.
Not sure if it applies to most of the products but the ones Ive checked are way cheaper on amazon. Pyrolux Pyrostone 6 Piece Non-Stick Cookware Set, Black, for example $300 at myer after sale whereas its currently $199 at Amazon Au.
The knives I checked arent even on sale since its price elsewhere is lower on Amazon or matching other stores.
The only things Ive checked that are actually cheaper are the Tefal products, so maybe get those if you want but otherwise do a quick google search before buying.There are good prices on Essteele. For example Essteele Domani 3 piece set is a good price, and I can't see it cheaper elsewhere.
