Super affordable at this price, been strong since July 2017, battery is no logner deliverying 2weeks endurance, but still a massively capable watch. Cannot beat a Barometer-equipped GPS tracker at this priceMassive thank you : D
got one recently (with the quick release and 2 HRM straps) for $499 clearance. Love the watch and extra accessories that came with it. Battery is solid and records data really well
Had this great watch but GPS tracking for open water swimming is terrible. Garmin knows it’s a problem and they upgraded me (under warranty still) to the 945 new in box no additional cost. Could be bonus for some who do open water swimming and it doesn’t track as it should.
How did you escalate the problem to Garmin?
Nearly 2 years since FR945 released so FR955 must be announced soon?
Great watch, bit surprised they haven't come down much from the 2018 deal when I got mine ($399) but I think they are still just as good and now a bit cheaper. Even at 3 years old I was able to get over 12 hours GPS tracking on a charge recently, without using the low power (ultratrack?) mode.

I have a Fitbit charge 4 that keeps keeps loosing GPS contact when I am out cycling on my MTB. Trouble is the stupid thing does not try to reconnect when the GPFS signal improves which is making it next to useless for tracking my rides. Given I am riding a bike it is a huge PITA to have to stop to manually fix it.
How does the Garmin deal with loss of gps signal like this ? Does it keep automatically retrying to regain GPS signal or does it require manual intervention like the stupid fitbit ?

945 likely to price drop as its been couple of years since release but on the whole even if it was the same price tomorrow you are not missing that much.
