Not sure I can ever buy a Samsung phone again without cheeky stacking of newsletter vouchers, $200 chat vouchers and insane trade in values for my 4 year old phone…

    • +1

      True :-)))

    • whats this $200 chat voucher you speak of…

      • +3

There was a $200 voucher which could be stacked with a $500 promo and another $50 voucher. However, the $200 voucher is not stackable with the $500 promo anymore.

        • Damn where was the link to that

        • +3

          Damn didn't know

          Traded in note8 for $125 to get the S21+ for $424 (1299-200-50-500-125)

Couldn't wait for the $50 newsletter. Traded in a s20 4g and got a s21 ultra 256gb. Also used the $200 trick from above
          1699-500-315-200 =684

          S21 1199 - 500 - 200 - 50 - 85 = 364

Traded in my S10E (purchased outside of Australia) for $175.
          Picked up S21 128gb
          Total discount = 175 + 500 + 200 + 50
          Finally ended up paying $174.

1099-500-35-50-200 =$314 for S21 trading in an S10 with busted screen

Eventually got the $200 and $50 vouchers. With the trade up discount plus the $500 discount offer, got the S21 Ultra 128GB for $614

          • @MagicMushroom: literally was 1 day early and missed the $200 bonus . got the 256 for the 128gb price so i guess it wasnt so bad

            • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: It's still an amazing deal, but I understand that knowing you could've saved $200 is not easy to cope with. I personally changed my mind and didn't buy the phone because the $200 was a lot for me.

          • @MagicMushroom: By the way, Can you please find me a deal on magic mushrooms?

          • +1

@MagicMushroom: Did you get to send your phones back ? They said they'll send me instructions but never received anything from them yet. Also busted screen, you think they'll take it ? I thought the deal was no broken damaged cracked screen.

    • how do you get all that?

  • +1

Using this phone. About heavy, I wish an inch bigger screen. Battery okay not stellar. When hit 3% need to be careful sometimes will shut down immediately. The Spen great but after a month you don't use it that much anymore….

  • +2

    Telstra Branded

    Single sim only.

  • +6

    The best Note release ever.
It's battery last 2 days easy, otherwise, you are doing something very wrong. Fast, WiFi6 already, you name it and 3 Android version upstairs confirmed by Samsung.
The best phone I've ever owned.

    • +8

Tips please I can't last one day.

      • +8

He was talking about the phone.

        • The battery phone to be exact.

    • Best phone I've owned too, but my battery can't last a day of heavy use. Fine for a full day of normal use.
The one thing I would like to improve on this phone is battery life, otherwise the phone is perfect.
Don't get me wrong, battery life is ok, just not super.

    • +1

The best. I wanted to switch to S21 Ultra (got an insane deal) but did not see any serious reason to switch.

    • +5

I reckon the Note 9 would be close to the best.

    • The only phone better (for the time it came out) I've had is the Note 5 probably. Very happy with my Note 10+ too!

  • Which is better this Note 10+ or the Oppo Find X2 Pro?

    • +3

I'd be leaning towards the oppo. More storage and 120hz display and has snapdragon rather than exynos

      • Note 10+ is a league above

        • +2

How so? they're both flagships so I'd say they're in the same league. Both have similarities, advantages and disadvantages. In fact I'd argue that the oppo has more significant and tangible advantages over the s10+.

Although If you're someone who will utilize the s-pen then obviously that would be more valuable to you.

      • Maybe if you'd used them you'd know before jumping on the cringey eXyNoS vs SD garbage. Exynos 9825 is excellent on note 10 plus, smooth, no lag and good battery.

        • +1

Agree someone explained to me sd exy differences on note10plus is little. On other phones, different story

          • -1

@CyberMurning: Correct. Same dumb ass comments on any Samsung thread instead of actual topic at hand of phone itself

    • Definitely the Find X2 Pro.

      • How do the cameras compare between the two? I need to get my Mrs a new Note or similar but good camera is her main criteria.

        • She needs beauty mode that much?

        • I've got the oppo Reno 5g which was the previous year's flagship and I've been very happy with its camera. Though I don't normally take portraits.

    • Find out what app you'll be using and write to them to see if they support Oppo.

Most app do but some of them don't work as well if you aren't on a samsung.

Used to use an appointment app and the developer already told me if I'm not on a samsung phone, some of the features don't work properly. (Group text logs, scheduling conflicts etc. )

    Thanks for the prompt responses

I will never understand how someone could spend 1k on a mobile phone…..

    • +6

well it all comes down to how often you use the thing… phones these days are more then just phones.. if your on its 6 hours a day then spending $850 for 2-4 years of use 6 hours a day is well worth it.

      • +1

Spending 6 hours on it everyday for 2-4 years is another issue alone

    • +2

I will never understand how someone could sleep outdoor in front of a shop for 3 nights and then spend 1.5k on a mobile phone…..

      • +3

People still do that with Graphics cards today :)

Only thing is that anyone can buy the phone the next day… with the graphics card your pretty much waiting for months and ontop of that paying double because you missed out on the RRP of the first batch lol

        • And all because of crypto-jerks.

    • +5

To be honest, I use my phone more than any other device. So I'd rather spend more on my phone than my laptop.

  • If only this was note 20U. Also, great deal for probably the best phone Samsung has ever made.
