So I think this is pretty good deal.

    • i got a 1.5tb buffalo for $75 delivered around the same time =P

  • Got one of these from Clive Anthony's for $99. They not too bad

    • +5

      Clive Anthony's = Clive Peter's brother?

      • Clive Anthony's is everything at JB Hi-Fi for $1 extra minus music plus Whitegoods.
And it's a part of the JB Hi-Fi Group.

    • +24

      did you bother to post?

    • $95 for a 2TB external from a B&M is a bargain considering.

      1. Is a WD.
      2. Axeze & Ourdeal are not involved!

      Please share.

LOL too bad ourdeal 'deals' are still allowed here. hopefully people will remind others of ourdeal's $65 seagate fiasco.

so many negs O.O If only people read the post 3 down :p

Standard price. Prices has dropped after they noticed no one is buying them. They are still the same stock pre scamming price rise.

    • Since when did flooding become a scam?

      • +15

Heaps of stock was already in Aus, just cranked the price.

  • I bought 5 of these from OW the other day to run in RAID 5. Two had Caviar Black drives inside and the other three were Green drives.

    • When buying do you have the option of choosing between the green and black drives or are they random inside each unit?

      • I've opened a couple up (including 1TB models) and I've always had Greens, unless I'm forgetting any. No options though.

    • +1

I call big bollocks on a WD Elements containing a Caviar Black. A 2TB Caviar Black is at least twice the price, off-the-shelf, and that's from dedicated PC hardware retailers.

Elements usually contain a WDxxEARX/WDxxEARS typically.

LOL good one OP! Though its cheaper at other places though.

    OURDEAL, never again!

    • Actually I think this is the cheapest for 2TB outside of QLD

Dragonball Z responds to the Ourdeal + Axeze bargain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oU4D97mOFE&feature=related

  • all other computer places cost more just for the internal drives

OP - What do you mean by this ? "Not exactly $65 , but at least it's real."

  • Weird, when I try to pay with Paypal, it charges me $129

    • +1

Yeah, getting that too. Guess I have to make an account and pay with a card then

  • Does anyone know if JB HIFI will price match? I have a gift card I can use.

    • Just checked the JB site and they've already price-matched.

Still hating Ourdeal for the fake seagate deal.

    • atleast thet were upfront and refund all monies.. Unlike some 'deal' sites that wouldnt do anything til u receive it and made to chase up with them and 2 months to get refunded. Howeve i would avoid Axeze like the plague

      • +2

They can't just cancel the orders and refund the money, that's very rude. They should offer a discount voucher to all customers who bought this deal at least

    • +4

that is my feeling too, never visit OurDeal website again, never.

    • I'm still annoyed with them.

  • Can confirm that the price of the hard drive is indeed $114. The price dropped by $15 last week.

  • Please change title.
$114 is for WD 2TB Elements.
2TB Essential is still $159 (was $114 before the floods): http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Technology/Dat…

  • Shows up as $129 on check out page for me :s

    • Don't use paypal. Pretty sure it's bugged for this particular item

  • wow still expensive, good thing i got the bigW bargain a few months back (pre-flood) $68 for 2tb seagate

  • +1

Interesting. Same price as my posting from OW from last May - however not a dupe because previous price was for the USB 3.0 version.

Almost not a bargain due to only being USB 2.0.

One hopes that prices will return to previous levels after increases due to supply issues caused by floods in Thailand.

  • Probably worth noting that an extra $40 will get you a 2tb external drive with USB 3.0 - not a big deal for all of us but nice if you want to future proof:

  • It's $129 on the link. Is the deal over?

    • Since there was a surge in order, OW jack up to price to rake in some profits.

    • Yeah the flood waters rose half an inch today and the planets are out of cosmic alignment… and the CEO of WD tripped and fell on some soap this morning, hence the increase.

  • Standard price.

  • Well it still has plenty of stock at the BUNDOORA officeworks. theres like over 50 here. Seeing this price tag on it for the past 2 months, seems reasonable.
