      Just login, click on the dashboard tab and then enter in the code where is says "Have a promo code? - Enter it here to redeem". Then just select the child you wish to add the trial too.

    My daughter has got to the end of the program and loved it. I liked that the downloads were free from my bigpond internet and were not counted towards monthly usage limits.

    Both my Son's have completed this.
    They still like to play the recently added "games" though,
    so I've put all them codes in.

    I recommend it for any child 2 years and above.
    (As soon as they can use a mouse)

      AFAIC, if a company uses promo codes, they open themselves up to this sort of thing. They have to wear it.

      I agree with krushgroove, the Reading Eggs website should only allow the use of 5 promo codes or something similar to stop this loophole of use of THEIR promo codes.

      I found the initial codes through google and by the looks of things so did the other Ozbargainers that have commented.

      I think it will be a matter of time before this loophole is shut, or Reading Eggs might like the additional users. Who knows!

      Agreed. This sounds more like exploitation to me. A few months is one thing but people using these codes for over a year is greedy to me. Hopefully they don't teach their kids the same values.

        Exploitation/theft would be slightly more applicable if we got like 4 years free, then we would never need to actually pay.

        So no, these are PROMO codes, that means they have worked out that they need to do this to get more paying subscribers.

        Its just that some of the smarter paying subscribers are minimising their costs, something every child should learn.

        I guess it's up to each persons 'values'.

        I still believe its reading eggs loose policy with their codes that has been exposed here. As you see below some of the codes have already expired, so they are playing catch up. Dominos pizza for example run a pretty tight ship with their codes.

        Each to their own I guess.

      They make most of their money from the hard resources that go WITH the online program. Hard to 'steal' those from the net, knockers, and they wouldn't be much use if you could. It is run by Blake Publishers, and they obviously work to promote to sell and have utilised, the additional resources. They've had a good $300 from me and I am about to order more books.
      Anyone who knows the program and where to enter the codes, will also notice that Reading Eggs themselves have a note underneath it saying "Where do I get a Promo Code?

      A promo code can be obtained in a number of ways, for example you may receive a code in your ABC Reading Eggs book packs, an email promotion, an advertisement or even from your school."
      They then advertise that you can use these to 'top up' your subscription. Considering they promote this, I find it hard to see how this is theft? They also state during their annual literature drive that their aim is to get as many kids reading as possible (and using their activity packs and cards and books to do it). Anyone who objects to them promoting their online resource in this way should take it up with them…. they seem to be happy :)

    ++++ for you! Our subscription (which was well worth the money) was about to run out and despite my 6 year old not really needing the reading component any more he still likes fooling around in the games, dressing up his egg etc, I'm all set until Feb next year now!

    now that everyone has ample access time on their reading eggs account, pls make sure u give the kids (particularly under 7yo) suitable supervised time to 'play' the 'games'. the younger kids need to be explained to about how it is a good idea to do the same activity again (the 'game' questions do get changed every time) so that they get the max practice.

    Once ur child has completed a certain level of proficiency, an email report is send to you as well.

    If you have more than one child you can use the each valid code twice - once for each.
