    • Wow, I'm not even sure how much I've gained overall now. I've got 520 days in the bank. It can't keep going like this can it?

I did look at abc eggs a month or so before this mega trial started but wasn't sure my son would be onto it. Well it turns out he is! So when they get on top of these trials I'll definitely be subscribing, plus his little sister will be approaching a reading age in a year or two.

      • not quite.. but I'm sure kids will get bored of reading the contents before the "trail" runs out.

    1124 days nice thanks

Nevermind…seems there are many members who have taken advantage of this fantastic deal but have not yet voted positively. Come on guys, vote up if you've gained something from this fabulous post!

      • have taken advantage of this fantastic deal but have not yet voted positively.

        Ummmm….. like yourself? lol

In all honesty though this deal post has the most up votes of any post I've seen in terms of people who commented saying how they bought the deal, and also voting. Most of the time there are around 1/3rd of these "leech" type comments. This one only has 3 (including you lol).

      • Maybe they are waiting umtil it gets to something worthwhile, like 1500 days.

        • Well its not far from that now… LOL :)

      • Very odd as I had voted!? Must be going crazy!?

  • Thanks all, my son loves it..
Well they will still get money out of me as now I am going to buy their books etc… Anyone got a bargain price on those??? I see Big W have them cheaper than the online shop :)

    • Seriously? I must go check. I was going to get the Mega Pack online and be done with it for the entire thing. Just haven't got to it… I figured that worked out better than getting it bit by bit.
"This is our BEST VALUE PACK. It contains all of the Level 1 and Level 2 books for lessons 1-80 of the ABC Reading Eggs program. The pack includes 80 reading books + 400 stickers, 8 mini posters, 8 Activity books and two packs of durable Flashcards with games. These would normally retail for AU$252.20. When you purchase an online subscription, our special online Mega Pack price is AU$119.00!"
      What do you think?
We have subscriptions so I presume I can get it at that price, I hope it isn't that I had to buy when I subscribed.

      • +1

Big W have got each of the starting out packs at $14.93 atm, not sure on the other stuff though??

    Another day another code

    ABC6001 : 4 weeks

  • +13

The previous abc code made me play with some of the numbers and see if they were valid, and I spotted a few more codes:

    abc2001
    4 weeks

    abc3001
    4 weeks

    abc4001

So play with the codes you come across and if you find any more codes please keep sharing!

    • +4

Thats gold. but… I've got a bad feeling about this.

      • Yep, I think everyone is going to lose all of their days.

        • I doubt it, but I imagine they will surely rein in their code system. Again… they are a publishing house. They make their money from the resources that go with the online account. However it's a bit of a a smart to those of us who have purchased years worth of subs already to realise we didn't need to :) They should either make the online part free, give an incentive to pay for subs (greater access privileges for example) or just limit their codes.

  • +13

Taking a cue from pn09, I have found a few more codes.

    • +2

Wow this is just over kill. Still didn't stop me from applying the codes lol

  • +2

Yeah, I think we should quit while we're ahead. I've now got over 4 years free, that's enough to take our youngest through until he's 6. If this keeps up I'm picking codes will be retrospectively cancelled, they are all there if you look at "MY ACCOUNT->Manage My Subscriptions". Dates, times, codes, everything. It would be too easy for them to cancel any codes they deem "errors".

    • I agree, I think they'll end up working out some sort of limit to the amount of codes you apply. I'd hate to see the business fail/struggle because of us tight wads :) The site is very high quality and they've obviously spent a lot of time and money on it. Saying that I'll be promoting it to other parents I know, so it may work out as cheapish advertising.

      • +1

I'd hate to see the business fail/struggle because of us tight wads…

        The ABC ???

        • Nope, they don't make it. From the website: "Blake Publishing and 3P Learning have joined forces with ABC Commercial to bring the fantastic Reading Eggs program to Australians via the ABC Connect brand." I dunno how involved they are, but I think ABC are doing marketing/promotion & leveraging the ABC brand?

    • Hopefully they don't decide to go back and cancel codes. I now have 4 years for both of mine and that'll do us just fine. Thanks to everyone on OZB who supplied codes here - much appreciated !

These aren't new, they have already been posted…

      • He wasn't saying they were new in his post - he was just putting all the recent ones (from the last day) into a single post to make it easier for people to not have to go through the entire page

        • -2

          to make it easier

duplicating codes just makes it harder and wastes time when reentering the same codes…

duplicating codes just makes it harder and wastes time when reentering the same codes…

Some people prefer to look at the last post first, and if there is a post that says "this has all the new codes up to now" it makes it easier for them as they only need to read that post and any below.

So some people will find it easier.

Feel free to ignore it if it doesn't work for you, but mampha's post will be helpful to others.

  • If I was the boss of reading eggs, here's what I'd do…

I'd post a "special" totally unique code here. Then every reading eggs account that enters that code gets all the other matching codes on here removed from their account.

So everyone don't get too greedy, the next code could be it lol.

    • +1

      and the bosses code is:

      FUGOBMF

    • Can't ever see you being in charge of the ABC… you don't sound like Julia Gillard :)

You'd need to post on all similar sites worldwide and all baby and kids forums then, seeing as they have been doing the same thing since RE started.

  • Hey. That one give 323 days. Go for it!

  • It didn't work

    • -1

      I'm sorry - I was joking that FU-G-OB-MF was a possible code

  • +5

try this one instead (for real):

    Here another two codes

    USH78SCH - 1 week

    NSW72MKP - 2 weeks

  • -1

    Ha thanks

  • -1

I have had all bar one months worth of my codes removed. I have email a complaint - mainly due to the fact that i actually had many off of their resources as well, i dont expect they will re instate them though. I will probably have to start a new account but am guessing it is only a matter of time and everyone will loose their codes. They didnt even send me an email to explain why.

  • When were you subscribed until?

    • it was up around 1600-1700days so about 4-5 years i guess. If they wont re instate even any i will start a new account with a new email and just put about one years worth and hope to god that the other codes remain valid for some time and just slowly add them one every few weeks.

  • Really that sux

  • -1

Their reponse was that their was a glitch in the system that allowed people to stockpile codes and that our extra codes have been automaticlly removed 'by the system'. I actually think it was cause i emailed them about something unrelated and they manually checked my account. I have set accounts up for friends and they all still have their credits.

    • +3

I actually think it was cause i emailed them about something unrelated

Now we know who to blame.

  • They shouldnt have even made a connection to my personal account but i am thinking they may have some how. I emailed them in regaards to setting it up for our school, so at no time was my account mentioned but a day later they have removed them so i think their is something behind it. I had a look at an account i set up for a friend today. They still have over 1000 days but it will not allow me to add the new codes to their account so i think they have put a maximum on how many you can add at once now.

    • Did you email them using the same email id you used to sign up the account ? Maybe that's how. You emailed them asking whether you could setup a FREE account (using unlimited coupons) at their expense for your school. Good work mate!

      • -1

Could have been a good money spinner for cheri, charge the schoolkids parents $30 for a years worth of reading eggs codes.

You could even put them on eBay, has anyone checked Brodens ebay account?

  • Hmmm good idea huh. No i contacted them to find out about the school trial thing they offer to try to get it going in our school. No i didnt use the same email but that said they are a similar name so could easily been linked. I think it was all just a matter of time and they were going to work it out. Our school has agreed now to take out a membership anyway so i am not stressed too much that our codes disappeared but it is annoying that we have lost codes off of their resources too. And you cannot reenter them either.

  • +1

All codes have been removed from my account & only left with one week trial. :(

    • I find it interesting that nobody else has noticed and posted about this other than us.

      • My account expires on 9 March 2012 now.

  • I'm keeping my head down just in case they limit my account too :(

  • My account has been limited, I did nothing to draw any attentio to myself even only adding so many codes a day.

  • +2

Got the following email today, about 2 weeks after all my codes were removed…

    Dear Parent,

    • I got the same email.
Can anyone point me towards their policy and or terms and conditions? I cannot see them anywhere.
      thanks!

    • how come i'm so late to the party? i just received it @ 4.30pm today

  • -1

Maybe it pays not to be greedy :-)
My kids still have credit until July.

  • yep - not accepting anymore than two codes worth anymore. bugger - just posted how great this was on fb.

i was one who had a subscription to 2016 - and v happy that i had it, but always felt a little guilty that i had such a great product for free… wasn't hugely shocked when it was cancelled, even though i would've loved to have kept it.

anyway, just paid for a subscription!!

      • same here i don't feel said. I mean someone spent so much time and effort making it and shit happens. It was good till it lasted. I might look at getting a subscription too but my lil one play it only like a day or 2 in a week. Let's see how it goes.

        • I got 2 years for 2 kids for $150. I pay more than that for swimming lessons for 1 kid each term!! In that context, was an easy decision to buy now that I've tried out the product. Maybe this was just a very clever ploy by them to get all of us to sign up!!

  • Just received this email
