Also have them and use them exclusively for Teams meetings and no complaints so far.

    • Do they shutdown by itself after 1 hour? I used the sennheisers momentum TWS for Skype calls and they would turn off by itself after an hour or so! It’s super annoying. Looking for replacement for my Skype and Teams calls

      • Omg yes! I get this too.. I thought it was just me… Shouldn't it recognise a signal coming through and not turn off??

        • Spoke to Sennheiser about this in the past and they said their codec is not designed for conference call so it is not recognising the signal from the laptop hence after an hour or so will shutdown!

      • +2

Never happened to me, been through very long meetings until the battery runs out and no drop outs

        • +1

Used it to watch a whole movie no drop out.

      • You could play some music at really low volume or even on mute might work to keep them active. My older cheaper BT earphoens stayed on til flat and my newer/higher end ones detect the silence and auto-off

  • +4

Sound quality and calls are great, but touching my earbuds causes them to drop out; mixed reviews on that 'issue' so mine might be faulty.
I still have them, because the sound is so good that it's been worth putting up with that quirk.

    • Try to hold the tip instead.

      • +2

Doesnt matter, any touch will cut out one ear. I'll order another pair I think, and cannibalize these into some wireless speakers with an external amp.

          Keep us updated!

    • I have them, and don't have this issue. Sounds like a possible defect with your pair :(.

      • Yeah, if this was a deal by spcoker I'd be asking for a warranty contact.
Warranty through amazon when outside the window is a pain :P

I have time (bought November last year); so next time he(she?) posts a deal, I'll ask :)

        • There is FB page for SoundPeats fans, ask Poppy. Usually his/her answer is to msg on Amazon.

    • I don't have this problem for my black one but I ordered the white one for my wife she did say that.

Also she said pain after look wearing I have no problem may be she got a small ear hole.

  • +3

Worth the cash. Sometimes comes with a card that you can redeem for a $15-$20 refund if you leave them a positive review. Don't trust the Amazon reviews, as these were all the people who wanted that refund.

Truly though, for the price (and the refund) these are great, only problem is drop outs sometimes for me.

    • I left a review after getting one of those cards in my Soundpeats Truengine 3 and Amazon denied my review lol

  • Got my first earphone. Love it so much. Worth it. Just curious if there is silicon case cover for it.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Got this a few weeks ago for the same price… Love it…
My only (very minor) gripe is that I prefer the case of TrueAir, this one is slightly harder to open.

    • Yeah I have to agree with this. It's hard to do by feel alone or in the dark. I basically have to feel very carefully for the lip, or just try each side until I get the right one. :)

      • Why not file or trim the lip of top cover to make a larger opening? Just plastic so should be easy to modify.

      • +1

Put one of those fake diamond stickers you see on cellphone cases on it. Solid bump to feel for.

        • That's a genius idea actually… thanks!

  • Thanks OP. Got one to try, been using K brand and lost reception from 100 cm

  • It is very good.

  • +1

Anyone know how these compare to the QCY earbuds?

  • Works great when in a quiet room, but the mic falls over when there is ambient noises. Suits in home use with no background noise though.

    • On the contrary, these work great when I'm on the phone outside for a walk. People think I'm just holding my phone to my ear.

My gripe is they feel loose in my ear. Some rubber tips would have been nice.

    • Perhaps your pair has a fault?
Even mine with the weak reception issue (warranty soon) are clear as day for calls.

I'm often walking down a long road, and I've even used them while jogging, and both the footfall and wind noise was removed.

    • Used them in a cafe with fairly loud background music, the other person didn't hear the music

  • Sound quality is great but too bulky. I prefer the size of trueair 1.

  • +4

I bought 2 of them while it was on sale last time.

Noticed 1 major issue. If the case's battery goes low, it wil connect to the last connected phone, even without you taking the ear buds out. Sometimes this causes confusion as you wont be able to hear anything when you answer the call as the ear buds are stil in the case.

Not really impressed with the call quality either.

    • +1

Haha, I noticed that quirk too; Not a deal breaker, I just added them to my 'weekly charge' group of devices, along with my smart watch, mouse, and shower speaker.

    • Happened twice to me before I figured it out. Definitely something to keep in mind if you pick these up!

    • +1

I actually experience this with my TrueCapsule as well. It just doesn't know that it's in a dead case. Not a big deal for me as I don't normally let the case charge too low (TrueCapsule has a set of 4 lights to indicate charge level which is pretty neat)

    • My case battery dies after 2 days, so every Sunday night (as I only use them for work) I have to switch my phones bluetooth off to stop it from draining the headphone's battery. I contacted the seller and they are sending me a replacement case which was nice.

    • Just wondering if there is any software update for this? There used to be a user related with AMR Direct here. Hopefully he can give an update. This issue is really annoying.

    • Noticed 1 major issue. If the case's battery goes low, it wil connect to the last connected phone,

Haha, basically the buds go to sleep when it detects it is being charged in the case.
Because the case battery ran out, it is no longer "charging" and it thinks it's been removed from the case.

Just keep your case charged and all will be good.

      • +1

Or just hold the ear phone logo to turn if off.

  • +2

These are pretty good. Have been using them for a couple of months. My only gripe with this is that the touch controls are very sensitive and lying down and listening can be annoying as it either changes the next track or shuts down.

    • I tend to agree - wish they were a tad less sensitive.
Have to handle them very carefully and yes sometimes lying on a pillow will register a touch.

  • Price has jumped?

    • +1

      No:

      • thanks

  • Anyone know how they compare to the SOUNDPEATS Sonic? I got the sonics and the sound quality isn't the best and they occassionally drop out. As long as they're similar I might return them and get these instead since they're $10 cheaper

  • +1

Got these for a couple of dollar less a few months ago and I'm very happy with their performance.

I do find the Bluetooth can sometimes be a little flaky and they won't automatically connect to my TV. I don't have that issue with these:
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08G86R3SX/ref=ppx_yo_d… which are a couple of dollars cheaper at present, but I think the Soundpeats have a better sound quality.

    • These look pretty good, I like the open case to connect feature!

Only downside is these don't have aptX codec so probably not the best if you want to play games with them (not sure how they'd go in real world usage), but otherwise look pretty solid 👌

  • Thanks OP, got a pair for the work mobile.

  • Got a pair, lets see how they do. I can't stand silicon tips so fingers crossed.

  • Got these, they are larger than expected, so don't fit nicely in my ear. Also, zero noise cancelling (passively), so you hear everything.

    Would rather recommend SOUNDPEATS Q

    • Do you know if they're bigger than airpods?

      • Yes, they are.

  • +1

I wish they would make these with an 8hr battery. I think I get about 4 which can be a bit short for me.

  • I bought T2 with ANC and they are pretty good for money. Very happy with it and also Truengine 3 SE that i bought earlier has more crisper sound but no ANC but sounds very good.

Mic quality on 3SE is okay and no one has yet complaint while me talking over the phone so far on T2.

  • Mics in these are a bit hit and miss.

Truefree my fav so far as it sits really well in ear. This one and true engine are pretty meh for hold I find.

Sound quality is about the same imo.

I found my sony wf1000mx3 to be best sound and can't beat the ANC- however I had THE WORST time trying to get them to stay in my ears even with the $45 Xelastec after market tips smh

    • +3

Isn't Sony like 10 times more expensive than this?

      • Sorry I was trying to say soundpeats are good value. Just not if you need anc or best sound quality

    • I have truefree original, and agree they sit well and are comfortable, but the microphone/call quality on the Truefree is terrible, tried a few times to use them for calls and gave up when the other people were like "huh?", "What did you say?", "You sound all muffled", and "I can't really hear you…" all the time. But for comfortable listening & not talking (e.g. at the gym for music, or on a walk listening to a podcast) the Truefree are great.

I also have a set of these Trueair 2, and they seem much better for calls, I don't get complaints - but people can still tell that you're on a headset.

I feel the ultimate combo would be the in-ear style and tips of the Truefree for comfort and fit, combined with the microphones and arm and CVC processing of the Trueair 2 for making calls. That would give one headset with decent comfort and call quality.

  • Do you need elf ears for these? My ears don't fit normal iphone, samsung and this shape at all.

    • No. U just need normal human ears. Lol… U must be a statistical outlier :o

      • Dammit. I need a bargain on ear surgery….. Will check daily.

  • +1

Thanks OP, been hanging out for a deal on these. Bought a pair :)

    • +2

This is a very bold statement.

      • +1

I sea watt ewe did their :P

  • +1

Great for the price, but as others have said, my only complaint is how sensitive the touch controls are. You can't do anything to them with them wanting to turn off or change something. I wish they had an app that lets you configure or turn off the touch controls.

  • +3

I have one of these,n great for the price, despite what everyone says the same quality is shit. Then again the sound quality of $300 Apple airpods also sht.

Don't fool yourselfy everyone will hear that you are on some sort of headset and people describe the sound as talking through a piece of fabric.

I've also compared these to the very highly rated Plantronics stuff and it's really comparable. So for the price this is fantastic.

Think of it this way, on a scale of 1 to 100, these score 15/100. Plantronics and Apple score 17. Maybe just the state of the tech.

    • Looks like you have a very sound knowledge of quality sound. Which one's do u recommend that is a scale of 90/100?

      • I haven't found one. I've used 6-7 so far, all crap. Every single one from $50-200 asking a friend immediately they say yeah it's obvious and sounds crap.

I would pay much more if they couldn't tell vs me holding the phone to my ear. I think nothing exists.
I listened to the Apple airpods on the receiving end and I thought it was quite poor, clearly a headset.

All of them are 'good enough' to use, but nothing sounds great.

  • Loved these so much I bought a 2nd pair for my brother and a 3rd pair as a backup.

  • I bought soundpeats true wireless couple of years ago and there was no bass at all they were terrible total shit Q ,never used them

    • +2

Might have been slightly older tech though. I have the old Sound peats from 2019 but somehow it stopped working after I put it through the washing machine; TWICE!

    • What model? Im looking for cheap pairs to break open to diy wireless speakers (adding an extra amp).

Id pay postage if they're an OK model :)

      • I binned em….. :(

  • i bought these recently, they sound great but the fit is terrible. always feel like they are going to fall out.

    • always feel like they are going to fall out.

But they won't just your feeling.

    • Simple circular foam eartip covers from 1990 style earbuds.

Give you more sealed bass, and tighten the fit (add some friction).

They also still fit in their case.

      All for cents!

      • yep have them, still not amazing but yes slight improvement.

    • Different fit for different people… for me these fit amazingly, whereas the in-ear types always fall out. :)

When putting these on I find it helps if you twist the stem away from your body - helps them to "lock" in…

  • Are these comfortable enough to wear to bed? I had some nice JBL’s but they bricked.

  • +1

Been using them while riding my bike.
Still haven't cut my hair after COVID so the hair or bike helmet strap keeps hitting the touch controls and maxing out the volume or activating Google.

Electrical tape on the logo, problem no more!

  • Can anyone comment on which SoundPeats model is good for walks/runs (i.e. they don't fall out easily)?

  • For the price these are awesome that I've purchased a second set for my partner, mic and noise cancellation is awesome, fitment in our ears are fine, and sound is decent for a pod style earphones with the bigger drivers. Good if you require to hear the sound around you when they are on so for bike riding ect.

  • Is this deal over? I can't find the coupon box

EDIT: Seems like it's just 15% now, explains why I couldn't find it

    • Ah yep, looks like only 15% now, still a good price though, I think I got mine when they were 15% off too!

Thanks for the heads up though, I'll mark as expired :)

      • +1

Yep, I still bought, I'm just using them for Zoom calls :)
