  • How this compared to dyson v7?

    • Wondering the same as well.

    • Already expired. Bruh.

      • Not sure why it’s shown as expired as I went to the site directly and it shows the same price and is available to buy (didn’t go to cart though). I wonder if it was a mistake and they reverted it back on sale?

  • Anyone know how this compare to the Dreame V9?

    • +12

I took delivery of the A9 yesterday and also have a V9.

The V9 has a trigger on/off and starts at a pre-set power setting, the A9 has an on/off switch at the back and starts off on low power so another power/speed button has to be pressed on top of the unit every time (to increase power).

The wall bracket on the V9 is much better as it holds all the attachments (including mattress/couch brush head) and it has a separate power input so you do not need to plug/unplug every time you want to charge or use it.

The V9's wall bracket also allows the unit body to be mounted with any head accessory attached whereas the A9 unit can only be mounted with the main long tube and head (or without, but the long tube and head cannot be mounted on wall unit alone). In this regard, mainly using the unit for spot cleaning, I prefer the flexibility the V9 offers. In addition, both short tools on the V9 have a brush attached whereas the crevice tool on the A9 has no slide-down brush.

Both units clean equally well from my experience and are as easy to clean, but I  prefer V9's reassuring click when removing/replacing the centerpiece in the barrel. The A9's barrel also looks like it'll hold less than the V9.

The A9 does have lights on the main head which is a nice touch and it also has an easily removable battery, but overall for my purposes I prefer the V9.

Maybe I'm just used to the V9 and need to use the A9 more, time will tell.

      • Why do you have two vacuums can I ask?

        • I've actually got four vacuum cleaners, the other two being a corded Samsung which I rarely use and a Shopvac in the garage.
I'll be giving one of the cordless vacs to my mother when I see her, though I mainly bought the A9 out of curiosity.

    • You can see details of comparison in this deal comments.

  • My dyson v6 slim needs a new battery (~$70), should I replace the battery or just replace the vaccum with one of these?

    • You can buy a generic Dyson V6 battery from eBay for $32 that does the job.
I had a Dyson V6 and fitted a cheap Eday bought battery to it before giving it away to my sister who's still using it daily a year later.
I found the Dyson V6 to be a real pain to put back together each time I took it apart for cleaning and was glad to be rid of it.

      • Yeah its not the best but was doing the job before the battery gave out.

  • Anyone know how this / the Dyson go compared to the makita.. I have heaps of makita batteries, so the makita ends up way cheaper.

  • Shall I buy this or Xiomi Trouver Power for $99 from recent deal on OZB.

  • Bought this for my Aunts birthday and turns out she has one. 👎 Hit me up if you’re thinking of purchasing. In Melb, Vic.

  • Just got this. Overall the vacuum is pretty good, even on the lowest setting. Pretty happy for the price.

It will be interesting to see how much the battery and filters will be when they are available separately later in the year.

  • Anyone know if I can still get this deal?
