Thanks for the heads up! I quite like the butter chicken one, but I can never justify paying full price for these.

    • +12

I can't justify full price for anything in life. It's gotta be a bargain or I'm not interested.

      • +2

Hahaha what about your funeral. Better pre arrange. If you do it 30 years in advance you get good discount

Hopefully can get unlimited data when I upload later

    • +10

Bought the butter chicken based off your recommendation and I've got to say that it's the worse pie I've ever had.

The 'Sous Vide Beef & Button Mushroom' sh!ts all over the butter chicken.

      • +1

yeah the beef ones are much better.. but I reckon that might be because I generally reckon beef pies are way better than chicken pies.

      • Oh man now I'm confused

        • An 11 for confusion makes me feel discombobulated

      • Agree with you their. My friend is the accountant at the makers - gave her that feedback last time it was on specials. She said she would pass it on to the R&D team - does not appear to have changed anything. 🙄

        • What is her name

I don’t know if I have room in my freezer for 400 440g pies.

    • +7

Your freezer has rooms? Pretty sure you can find a spare room 😉

Only buy these when half price. Stock up time!

  • +2

Where is the beef ones ?

    • +1

      The "regular" range isn't half-price, they're $1.80 off, down to $6.00

    • +3

They put them next to these ones in the freezer section in woolies where all the frozen pies are.

  • +4

    wheres the beef???

  • +7

    These taste awful.
A slurry of bland ingredients. Overrated. Avoid.
I'm a big fan of their beef range though. That is the bomb.

    • +9

Agree the Butter Chicken was like baby food inside - no chunks or anything.

Beef ones are much better when they can be had for half price.

I think there was an artisan beef one once upon a time.

You're joking, right? Best frozen brand there is.

      • +10

i think metalheads point is these chicken ones etc are bad…and i tend to agree. tried the chicken tandoori once and theres nothing of substance in it…just a mushy tandoori flavoured mess encased in pastry and i havent purchased it again

the beef range i still buy regularly when on special though

Finally, someone with brains + taste buds 🙏

        • Your on the $$$ again Franco :)

      • +5

It might be the best frozen brand, but metalhead is clearly referring to these 3 flavours and not the brand.

Personal taste. No need for a neg.

      • +8

Maybe, but people read the negs, and if it saves them eating a crap pie, then I'm all for it. I bought these on one of the previous half price specials and also thought the butter chicken and red curry pies also tasted like crap. Couldn't even get the kids to eat them, and they'll usually scoff down any pie!

    • +4

      Have an upvote. I agree.
      The beef ones are great

  • +3

Normal price is 4.50 a single pie.. lol

Even at half price they are still pretty pricey for a pie

  • +4

The tag said 'Clearance' at my woolies. I suppose these are getting deleted.

    • Good riddance to this rubbish. Just keep the beef range ( half price everyday please) !

      • +3

We get it, you don’t enjoy this pie. Move on with your day.

  • -1

Their Veg pasties are awesome too but I don’t see them selling at WW.

  • +3

Have had both chicken pies. Filling is a bit mushy, also a tad too sweet for me.

If only the beef range was also this price.

  • They dont sell beef ones anymore?Um,the only pie that taste is crunchy beef

  • +1

Pretty sure the Aldi gourmet pies are made by the same people and always less than $5.

  • -2

I don't like the idea of turning on the oven for 30 mins to cook 1 pie. I'd rather get 1 from 7Eleven/Busy Servo for $5 or less (Slow Cooked beef/ Orange packet Chicken one). I think I got one for $3 last time on the fuel app. I would have to pass.

    • +2

      Use air fryer.

      • What's your method

        • +1

Defrost in microwave and airfry at 160 for 15 minutes

          • @RSmith: I tried this and i only really needed it in the air fryer for like 2-3 minutes am i doing something wrong lol

    • +5

Who does that ? I know its rocket science to thaw them in the microwave and chuck them in the oven for 5 mins :)

  • Bought two Mistral airfryer
