    • Thanks TA, will this also apply for Apple Store NZ through cash rewards?

      • +1

        Unfortunately not. Sorry.

    • 2% more than the last promotion damn.

    • I guess the Refurbished store is not included as there is no mention?

      • +1

“Cashback is eligible on the purchase of Apple refurbished products.”

    • +2

      hello tightarse,
i was wondering for this cashback, is it eligible for click and collect as i dont want to wait for delivery,
It notes that "Apple sells and ships products to end user customers only"

      Thanks

      • +1

Hi. This is fine provided the order is made and paid for fully online, and that no changes are made later (both in-store and/or online). Thanks.

        • +1

          Appreciate it TA

    • +1

      Thanks for clarifying TA.

  • Interested in the new Apple iPad Pro with M1.
Is 7% cash back the best way? Or does the education portal check ID?

    • -1

      they don't check ID

    • +4

Cash back not elegible for m1 iPads

    • +3

According to the Facebook advert, cashback is capped at $50 (assuming the iPad Pro M1 is eligible for cashback).

The education portal should give you a bigger discount, otherwise you can go down the discounted gift card route and purchase from a third-party retailer (e.g. JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys).

      • May I know where I can find the ad? I checked cash rewards facebook page but couldn't find it. If it's capped at $50 then it is indeed not very attractive.

      • Thanks. Looks like have to go down the EDU portal.
Pity no cash back for M1 iPad :(

  • Wish this is on education portal too

    • Current terms for cashback on Apple at Cashrewards seems to indicate Education store purchases are eligible, no?

On that page the current exclusions are:

Apple AirTag & AirTag Hermùs, iPad Pro M1, iMac 24” M1, Apple TV 4K, Apple TV HD, Siri Remote, AirPods Max, 8th Gen iPad, Mac Pro (console), Pro Display XDR, Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, iTunes, Shipping, Apple Developer Programs, AppleCare products purchased individually or after the applicable product has been shipped.

7%? The last (deleted post) was 8%
At this rate I suppose it might be 5 or 4 by the time it starts…

    • In all fairness, the deleted post referenced this article and never said the Apple cashback rate was 8%. It said up to 8% off, and the TA stated the Apple cashback rate was not actually going to be 8% anyway.

      I didn't neg you, btw.

      • -1

Heh, I aint sensitive to negs. Too many peeps take it personally.
Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one.

        • Like genders?

  • +3

Cashback not eligible for items you want or need as usual?

    • +2

M1 laptops are included now, M1 ipad/imac are not

      So 50/50 i guess

  • +7

Hi guys. This post is inaccurate. The Facebook ad is incorrect and in the process of being removed as details of this promo aren’t yet actually finalised. Start and end times are incorrect, and the cap is certainly incorrect. Full details once we actually get approval from Apple later tonight. Thanks.

Edit: details now finalised. See here.

    • +1

      Is there any cap?

    • What is the cap on the cashback?

      • +4

There is no cap. Please read my pinned comment and the title of the post. Thanks.

  • When will it finish?

  • +1

Potentially stupid question but what’s stopping anyone from shopping at the education store?

    • +2

      Potentially stupid answer: Your honesty?

  • +1

Ineligible iPad pro M1! Come on.

  • Just purchased an Apple Watch Hermes yesterday
 oh well.

    • +2

I feel sorry for you too. Oh wait, you were talking about the cash back!

      • +1

I know that my OzB account should probably be cancelled due to me doing such unOzB thing
but it’s all for the missus.

  • Does edu portal allow purchasing of just the iPad magic keyboard?

  • +1

Does this work with the union store?

    • EPP and institution specific portal are not eligible.

  • +1

Thanks TA, just purchased a M1 MBA from the EDU store.

  • If I go through buying via interest free, am I still eligible for the Cashback deal? The reason I ask is that in order to purchase online from Apple you have to call a number to get interest free and I am uncertain if it is then tracked to the Cashdeal people.

  • +1

Are the products listed in bullet point 1 valid if purchased as Apple refurbished products which are eligible for cashback?

  • Is the 7% cash back available on click and collect orders?

    Thanks.

    • It would last time for an iPhone 12 Pro for me.

    • I just ordered an MBA for click and collect and it doesn't say anything pickup is not included so I would assume so.

Although its only been 30 mins - I've not had the email saying it tracked yet though.

      • +2

See my comment here re click & collect. As for tracking, please read the 5th dot point in our terms as it’s certainly not instant for Apple. Thanks.

Cashback tracks to member accounts between 2-7 days after you receive confirmation from Apple that the product has been shipped. Cashback is issued by Cashrewards (not Apple).

        • Thanks, TA. I fully paid online and will pickup from the Apple Store today with no changes. :)

  • Am I eligible for cashback if I pay with apple store e-gift card?

    • +4

Found the answer, apparently payment will gift card won't be eligible for cashback

  • +1

Just bought an MBA for store pickup. Lets hope this tracks for me!

  • Hey I just bought MBA yesterday. Can I return for a full refund?
Id like to repurchase and get the 7percent cashback?

  • How long does it take normally to track the cashback? I bought it yesterday afternoon and it hasn't tracked yet.

    • +2

Since no one has replied, here is the answer, but next time please read the post and comments before asking. It’s been mentioned a few times above:

Cashback tracks to member accounts between 2-7 days after you receive confirmation from Apple that the product has been shipped. Cashback is issued by Cashrewards (not Apple).

      • +1

        Thank you. Missed that part.

  • Bastards! I was about to buy it now

  • What is the likelihood of this offer coming up again between now and 30th June 2021?

    • +1

think it only happens twice a year on cashrewards and shopback. For non-CTO models, you are better off stacking discounted GC during 10% off sale at OW or JB.

      • Thanks deliriouss. D'Oh! Looks like I will have to wait another 6th Months. Looking to take advantage of this with an Educational Price for an iPad 12.9". Anyone know of any other deals that comes close to this?

        • +1

M1 iPad Pro were excluded, so you haven't missed anything.
OW and JB do offer Edu price in store if you have a student ID, just stack it with discounted GC.

          • @deliriouss: Appreciate the response and confirmation that M1 iPad Pro weren't part of the offer. I'm probably gonna do the JB 5% off GiftCards on the iPad.
