Sold out already? Page can not be found

Edit** Typing it in manually brings it up for delivery. Ty!

    • Doesn’t link to it but just search for it, still available.

  • Sorry, looks like it’s too late by the time I managed to checkout one and post here.

  • -5

In my cart for checkout, but delivery fee killed the deal.

    • +9

When you check out it’s free. Plus how can $8 delivery fee “kill the deal” for you? Not worth getting one now for a minor amount more?

      • +6

Naar respect to the man. Screw those Big W scalpers.

      • -6

Wooosh….. I guess it is too early in the morning for some to understand

BTW, It was adding the delivery fee all the way to the payment screen. Anyhow, I have 3 BigW's within a few minutes drive from me, so why would I pay a delivery fee, I am a true OzB'er.

        • You are too hilarious for some people.

    • +4

I’ve got a 3080 you can have for retail too, but it’s going to cost you $8 shipping?

      What… too much? Ok :(

  • Just successfully completed order.

    Thank you.

  • -5

Soon we’ll have endless RRP “deals” for Nintendo Switch Pros preorders as well. What a time to be an OzBargain member.

    • +1

      OZRRP?

    • -2

Short supply but I know what you mean. Hasn't gone down in prices or freely become available for purchase for months now. I do feel it's a deliberate by Microsoft because everything else has adjusted to Covid timelines.

      • +7

        Errr semiconductor shortage? Cmon man.

        • +2

Yeah it's probably been discussed a 100 times, the shortage is affecting things like NBN HFC NTDs and a bunch of other industries, not just gaming.

              Commenting isn't essential either

So why did you? Only your opinion is worthy? Seems arrogant.

                @PainToad: Why did you?

Clearly you are in the minority when it comes to being upset with these posts, but instead of just scrolling past you feel the need to comment and ruin your day.

Many people want this item, so availibility becomes the deal. If it's not for you, scroll on.

@PainToad: I didn't say you weren't allowed (correct spelling by the way, you're welcome). I also didn't say you had to shut up either. You seem quite irate, so perhaps you need to deal with opposing opinions? Stop reading between the lines and read the lines.

Maybe someone views this item as essential, but feel as if you are in a position to tell them they're opinion doesn't matter?

Every comment you make is forming my argument for me and goes against everything you say. Get some consistency.

You can post your negative comments, and they will be responded to accordingly.

So glad I've now got your approval to keep commenting after telling me before I should of kept scrolling simply because my views were in the minority.

I fail to see how video games are essential. But sure, someone can have that opinion if they wish. Hope they never have to go without real essential items like food but.

                      Looking forward to it.

                      • @PainToad: Again, I didn't say you had to keep scrolling. I also didn't give you approval to comment, not that you need it of course, but that was just a waste of a sentence.

"You fail to see" - isn't your whole argument based on other people's opinions and freedoms? Or only your own?

Guess you didn't read above were I commented the following.

You’re aloud to post your pro comments, I’m aloud to post my negative comments.

                          • @PainToad: No, no, I read that, obviously, as it's what we are talking about. That is why I am so perplexed as to why you are allowed your opinion, but you attempt to enforce it over others freedoms.

I've also had a look through other deal posts for things like headphones, TV's etc. I don't see any comments from you discussing whether they are essential or not. Where's the consistency?

If all you're after is toilet paper and food then perhaps a Coles forum is more suited. I can see this one providing anxiety.

Lol. How am I enforcing my opinion over others? Come on mate. This is just getting desperate. I'm giving my opinion, not enforcing it on anyone. Just as you can tell me your opinion that paying RRP is a bargain due to stock shortages.

                              • @PainToad: Ah ok, I get it now. A non-essential item discounted becomes an essential item. So a discounted TV becomes as essential as food and toilet paper as you previously described. That is absolutely flawless.

                                • @bloopzorm9:

                                  No.

                                  1. A discounted item is a bargain.

                                  2. An essential items is something I must buy now regardless of it's price.

                                  3. I personally try to avoid paying RRP unless it's essential (ie. I have no choice and can't wait).

                                  4. A video game console isn't essential imo, so I'll wait and not pay RRP in the future when shortages ease up.

Hope that makes it simple enough for you to understand my opinion. You don't have to agree with it. Have a good day.

                                  • @PainToad: Seems fair enough, although contradictory to your prior statements.

I am glad you have spelled it out here so you can force it on all of us all the more.

Nah it’s not deliberate. Microsoft themselves admit they sell the consoles for cost, basically. They moved on from the number-of-shipments game and only care about digital subscriptions now and digital sales

          • @PainToad: Just an FYI - historically selling something at a loss doesn't mean they still do it. Covid-19 has completely changed the environment. Also it's a new console so they are most likely making a profit at RRP or atleast break-even. I would agree that XBX was a loss leader only if this was a few hundred dollars. It's almost equivalent in price to an average spec'd laptop.

    • context matters

in the context of a global chip shortage and low supply and contrasted against scalper prices

      RRP is a bargain

Can confirm it does work with that method

Can also stack with 5x Everyday Reward Points should get you 3745 points worth almost $19

      • Damn, bought before I saw this post - just rushed. I did have the previous 550 points bonus activated though on my Rewards account.

Not sure if the 5x was targeted or if anyone clicking on that link got it. I tried after purchase but still only showed 750 points

        • You did better than me, I did a guest checkout. Got no points at all. Don't know if I can still get points, would be nice to get $19 worth of points.

    • Link works but failed for payment. Sorry there is an error processing your payment for Paypal or cc.
Got charged but hopefully should revert.

  • Got one!! :-)
    Thanks OP!

  • Just got one. Cheers op.

  • More available

  • Still available 9:23

  • +2

Considering the original link is OOS it might be a stock glitch on the website. Will orders be canceled?

    • +1

i think so. I can checkout still

  • +5

Dare I say, I prefer this (with Gamepass) to the PS5. Quick resume is king.

    • Only want to play exclusive titles, console may be cheap but games too expensive

      • +1

I can't tell what you are in support of here?

        • The first true next gen game I want to play Rachet and Clank is due to release in a few days. Where’s the first exclusive title on Xbox?

          • +2

@rainbowyen: Have you tried putting a coffee or beer bottle on a PS5?

          • @rainbowyen: Do you mean exclusive as in not PC? As yeah that is an issue for sure. Look I like them both, I am just enjoying my Xbox more and wanted to highlight that to anyone on the fence scrolling through this thread.

            • @cc23: How I think about it is that the PS5 is only for their exclusives. As far as I can tell there's not enough reason yet to shell out for the games that are there, particularly when they're trying to charge so much for the games. Give them a year or so and I'll get a PS5 for sure, and hopefully can get some decent deals on the worthwhile exclusives.

          • +1

@rainbowyen: The Medium already launched 28/Jan/21.

Your comment is weird, I assume you already have a PS5 if you are only interested in exclusive XBSX titles. But then of course games are expensive, when they are brand new and exclusive. Wait 1-2 years and the prices on the new releases might drop.

For everyone else, I think most of us are still trying to work through our back-catalogue of up-compatible games on the new consoles.

  • looks like its unavailable now

  • Still able to add to cart for me…………..

  • Ended up getting PS5 after waiting for Xbox X for sometimes. I wish Xbox X was available earlier :(

  • Got one. Thanks OP

  • Still available, grabbed one for a friend who was still trying to get one at RRP

    • Just here to witness you being downvoted to oblivion. Hold tight. Incoming.

      • +3

        ahahah, to infinity and beyond!

  • Seem no chance the price will drop like the ONE.

    • Give it a few years😂

  • I got one, now the question is, do I need a better TV?

    • It would be recommended, to see the true 4k graphics

    • 120 hz?

      • +1

        oh no, 4k but only 30 hz…

      • Yes, as long as your tv/monitor supports it

  • Go get it!

  • yeah i just got one now at 1015am…. stock must be fluctuating maybe but they charged my card etc

  • Got one at 1015am.

  • just ordered one

Where is the decent drop PS5's ?

So with these being rare as hens teeth, how many games fully utilize the specs on this compared to the old model? There'd be hardly any point in game makers investing or releasing much until these are easily obtained.

    • -3

That is akin to saying that iOS developers shouldn't develop apps because iPhones were sold out during the early days. It isn't rare, it's popular.

      • No it's akin to saying that iOS developers shouldn't focus on adding extra benefits to apps running on newer model iPhones because the older models have a larger market share.

Same as console developers continue to use older engines in the early years of a new generation so they can continue to support previous generations because there's more customers to sell to. Focus eventually switches to the current generation as adoption picks up.

        Which is completely logical.

    • +1

Not many if any, not many if any

    • +1

I wouldn't say any "fully utilise" the features as dev kits have only been in developers hands for 1-2yrs.

But many games take advantage of the extra power, just not 'fully'.

You have Ori which is 4k/120fps for example.
There are about 80 back catalogue games which have their frame rate doubled (many up to 120fps).
Many newer games have advanced features like 4k, higher frames or more consistent frame rate than last gen.

Many games see loading times cut significantly.

Most, if not all, games use the quick resume feature so you can instantly bounce between games.

    • As with most new console releases, even ones that aren't backwards compatible, it will take devs a while to "fully utilize" the new specs. Same with modern PCs etc.

Many games do benefit from the new specs when compared to the older Xbox hardware as far as average framerates, minimum framerate consistency, resolution and resolution consistency (less upscaling required) and the big one being greatly reduced load times.
At the end of the day these consoles are just x86 PCs now and so it'll be the same story as in PC gaming, all games generally run fine on mid range PC hardware but the better the hardware in the PC the better the framerates, resolution and load times, and the longer it'll last into the future.

Given how many of the older consoles are out there and the fact they are compatible with (but slower) than the new consoles, it won't surprise me if developers continue to release games for both current and last gen consoles for several years, with various visual and performance improvements able to be shown off on the newer consoles. Just like they do with PC gaming, but instead of covering thousands of configurations and leaving it up to the buyer to set their preferred visual settings, they just need to tune the game settings to a few different spec of consoles to hit their framerate targets.

  • Just ordered one - delivery only, no click and collect for my area.
