  • I have the original mi robot that the battery no longer holds charge. A new battery costs over $120. Am I better off just replacing the whole vacuum with over of these?

    • Rebuild the battery.
Are they 18650 lithium cells? If so, should cost you around $20.

    • You should be able to get them off aliexpress for ~$40-$50

    • Same story for me. 1st gen robot battery was lasting a few minutes, I bought a new battery off ebay to avoid long wait with Ali express.

Batt cost me $55 with ebay plus (promo code discount) and took 2 days to deliver to me in sydney

  • Very happy with my D9 following the latest firmware update. Wanting to buy another but hoping this price will eventually be on the gearbite direct website.

Any news on the Google assistant integration?

    • Did not give exactly date for google assistant.

  • I've got the first generation Xiaomi robot too, battery still going strong but only just recently noticed/realised that its absolutely rubbish over my carpet - for ~80% of the time the main brush doesn't spin on carpet.

I feel like it definitely used to pick up more dust from the carpeted rooms, so either they've adjusted the motor's sensitivity to resistance or its degraded over time somehow.

Either way looking for something new that would work well over medium pile carpet - thoughts on this?

    • Most likely main brush motor problem.

  • Can't wait for the Ubiquiti x Xiaomi Dreame Machine Vacuum-Router

      Band 28?

  • Wow, great price for D9. Bought it out $579 :(

Still waiting for Google assist support.

  • Can this transit from carpet to rug easily and vacuum over it if you have rug on carpet ?

    • +1

      I have a Xiaomi Gen 1.

I had a rug with tassels on the end. They'd get sucked up or caught around the wheels.

Had another rug that had black stripes on it. Vacuum didn't like the because it thought it thought it was going to fall off an edge.

But it would transit well from rug, to carpet to floorboards.

  • Anyone tried the F9 and can give a short review?

    • I have the F9. It's very good for the price. Vacuum is great. I have 2 cats, 1 that's sheds like crazy and has no problem picking anything up. You have different levels of suction power. Normally just have it on max. But I can turn it on the lowest setting at night and does a decent job. Moping is okay. Don't expect it to get rid of stains or any heavy build ups. But this is normal for all mopping vacs. If your budget can stretch it I'd grab the D9 for the LDS. But either way it's a good deal

      • do these mops vibrate or they just drag?

        • I'm not to sure. I have tiles in my house and a messy toddler. So if there's a stain that's been there for a few days it won't really budge it. But if you get to it right away it's no problem. My only gripe with the F9 was when the power is out the maps resets. So you have to do a series of full cleans again to create the smart map.

Should I go Dreame F9 or the Xioami Viomi v2 that's also on sale? Thoughts?

    • If you plan to have it work at night/in the dark, or you have a lot of areas under furniture, might be better to get the v2 with lidar. Also I think the v2 does multiple maps (check that though), the F9 only 1. If you aren't expecting it to work in the dark, then this could be fine.

I've read (I think it was here), that Dreame vacuums are better quality and have fewer issues than Viomi.

  • @gearbite When are you guys getting more stock of the Dreame T20? Any time soon before 27 June?

    • Wont have any before 27th June.

  • Any news on the Dreame T30 and V12?

  • Will Gearbite be selling the Dreame Bot L10 anytime soon? And if so, what price might it be?

Trying to figure out whether to just get the D9 or wait for L10.

  • guys any comments on the best robot vaccuum with mop function?

Any chance you'll be running a sale on the S5 Max? It's been as low as $479 recently.

  • Bought the D9 :)

  • Very good deal thanks!

  • Don’t suppose you sell additional home bases? Would love to put one on each floor.

  • @Gearbite I bought a d9 in the last sale, but the water has stopped coming out of the mopping bit
i cleaned the holes as suggested but it is still not working and have not had a response from cs could you please look into it?

  • Please contact us at [email protected], and let me know your order number, i will follow up as well.

    • Hi that is who i contacted, they said they would get back to me a week ago but i haven't heard back
      order# is: 20919

      • No problem, i will follow up with them, please check your email within 24 hours.

        • I do have water come out of mine but even on the highest setting not very much.

  • The vacuum is so good that I just ordered a second one!

    • Wish they'd offer it direct through their site for this price and not just eBay.

  • Order this last week and got it delivered today, but can't for the life of me get the damn thing to connect to my wifi through my Unifi UAP-AC-Lite.

Thought maybe it was my wifi name as it has a ' in it, but made a new 2.4Ghz only network with a simple name and it still wouldn't connect.

Had to create a new wifi network just on my router and it connected alright to that, so no idea what's going on with the Unifi AP. Will have to try and figure out a few things when I have a bit of time to stuff around with it!

Any one else had issues with their Unifi AP and Dreame vacuum?

    • Did you end up fixing this? I have the Ubiquiti long range model, if it doesn’t work I won’t bother buying. Never had issues with anything connecting to my APS before, in fact the ubiquiti AP is the best and quickest AP I’ve owned

      • Unfortunately not. Just left it on its own wifi network from my router.

Bit of a pain, but guess at least it works now.

  • Hey @gearbite rep,
I bought it from this deal, I am having issue with room separation, my apartment rooms are are not separated and shows whole apartment as one room, my old 1c robot beautifully recognised all room.
Another issue is with mirror wardrobe door, it shows room beyond doors.

    • Did you update your firmware to 1082?

      • Yes firmware is updated to 1082.

    • You can adjust the map yourself, but to draw a line or has to have wall space so hard to do in open areas.

The mirror is something to do with how this vacuum is different. My original Xiaomi was fine with mirrors and windows, but my d9 continues to bump into them over and over like it doesn't know they are there. Same with a baby gate, like the lidar can see the gaps between the bars are only 5cm, but still tried every single one with the sensor bar.

  • Hi I am having an error. Laser sensor error. I have reset it and there is nothing in the way of the sensor. It is not spinning. Please help.

    • Please contact us at [email protected] with your order number, our team will follow up.
