Just get the GC discounted via Suncorp or whatever for an actual cash discount. Unless it stacks… Then that is a different story.
500 points is $2.50 for $100 GC, 1800 points is $9 for $300 GC..
Adding to this, $2.50 is 2.5% of $100; and $9 is 3% of $300.
As a Macquarie Bank customer myself, I would probably get my WISH GC (immediate 4% discount) from the Macquarie Marketplace.

Maybe not if they consider their portal as for corporate users? I bought it through NRMA link, even took a screenshot of it. But T&C usually overrides.
However, not end of world considering this offer is another 1.5% off the card face value for $300+ purchase, compare with 4/5% off through portals.
I think it would be wise, as its not clear that you buy a $300 plus discount card . ie if you get 3% off buy a $310 so you still "spend" $300 after the discount.
Unless someone else has an insight that says that the discount is based on the price prior to your discount.

Difficult to know if you buy a reduced egift card (bringing it under $100 or $300) this will count, you can't purchase random amounts anymore like $105 or $310 either

Had no points credited as of today and spoke to chat support.
Apparently if you accessed the deal via a third party site (in my case Entertainment book), the deal is invalidated.
However, I got lucky and was awarded 1,800 points for a $297 spend.
Hope that helps anyone else.
