    Soap has tiny grains to help remove grease and dirt from hands, these slowly scratch away glasses making the glass fuzzy to look through.

  Do people use these on LCD monitors and/or older style Plasma TVs?

  Any comments on effectiveness for these surfaces would be appreciated.

    Too small for that. Best cleaner for screens (inc inside car windscreen) is 50:50 methylated spirits/water in a spray bottle and any cheap paper towels. For eyeglasses I use dry baby wipes with a spray of isopropyl alcohol which is better than any off the shelf product I've used, and I've used them all. If you want to get fancy you can buy isopropyl alcohol wipes but they are mega bucks.
