Buy White King Tablets for $5, 100% Cashback + 60c Postage Reimbursed

320

I came across this offer while researching this product online, that I saw in store. Basically buy a bottle of their bleach in tablet form for under $5, fill out your bank details and answer a couple of questions on the claim form, and mail it with a copy of the receipt before 20/3/2012. They will reimburse your purchase price and 60c postage. Essentially you will get it free for a few minutes of your time (you will be up for the stationery costs :) )

I'd recommend printing out a plain claim form and fill it in by hand, I encountered a number of technical problems trying to type in my details online. As far as I can tell, you can buy it from any retailer. There were none specified in the terms and conditions. I didn't see any promotional material in store at Coles or Woolworths at point-of-sale. I'm assuming there will be no problems if you buy it from the major retailers.

One claim per household.

UPDATE:
Promoter seems to have backflipped on the end date of this promotion, purchases now need to have been made by 24 February 2012 and claims received by 29 February 2012

    • While normally I think giving out all those details are unnecessary, this time it appears that it is necessary. Bank details for the cash back and a phone number perhaps in case anything goes wrong.

If you give them your Bank Details, are you worried that someone might make a malicious deposit?

It's funny how these sort of issues never arise with bigger $ promos like the Logitech 100 per cent cash back. It's obviously only the manufacturers of products like powdered bleach that we need to worry about.

Yep, coz if something goes wrong we all know that they're gonna whitewash the whole affair! :p

You can believe whatever you like, I have no evidence of any "BS". Do you have anything substantial to add apart from paranoia?

The rest of the quote includes (Will show as “Handling Matters Pty Ltd” on your bank statement.) I have entered a number of other cashback offers in the past which were refunded by "Handling Matters". I haven't experienced any spam or telemarketers as a result, and my bank account is still secure.

The questions seem quite standard to me. It is up to you what information you choose to provide, if at all. I would expect to receive an email from them about upcoming offers or products in due course. You can opt out at any time. And yes, I am well aware of privacy, privacy laws, and rights and entitlements. If you think it is too dangerous to provide this information, feel free not to participate in the offer.

    • I've also had a few redemption type stuff that were dealt by "handling matters", with the most noticeable one being the Penfolds Vintec wine fridge promo

  • so which retailer sells white king?

    • All supermarkets. Check out the cleaning product aisle.

  • Are these tablets put into the cistern of the toilet so that each flush cleans the toilet?

  • What are these used for? They seems to be small (many to a pack). Too small for toilet cistern.

    • They say it's "liquid bleach in a convenient tablet form" supposedly useful for avoiding spills etc. I'd say you're supposed to dilute it to use as you would any liquid bleach. I'd be very cautious about using them in the toilet without comparing their composition to that of the actual toilet blocks. They'd dissolve down too fast anyway.

I think this is what you are thinking of http://www.whiteking.com.au/productview.aspx?id=26, I must say that I don't think I have ever seen them in the shops personally though.

These tablets are essentially a measured dose of bleach in a powder/tablet form. You can drop one in a bucket of water and reconstitute it and use it for cleaning and disinfection etc. You can drop one into the toilet bowl prior to scrubbing the bowl and s-bend etc. It is convenient and safer than using liquid, which I always seem to splash a few drops on my T-shirt.

  • i thought it was a TABLET somehow for just $5.

  • Bought today and trying to get to the claim form (which was there), but am getting

"404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable"

Guess I'll revisit the link tomorrow.

  • Bought on 25th Feb.Just found out need to purchase the Tablets between 28 January and 24 February 2012.

    • Low move, they did have those dates originally. They extended the offer and changed the terms and conditions, the claim form and website last time I looked. Looks like they changed it back, probably due to being OzBargined or overwhelming interest. It seemed to be a pretty "secret" offer from the outset. If you look at the little thumbnail published above, you can just make out where they have added "OFFER EXTENDED" over the bottom right of the page. Sorry, I didn't print out another claim form or terms and conditions when I filled mine in. Perhaps ring them and enquire/complain or take the tablets back for a refund :/

Sorry, site wasn't backed up recently in the wayback machine/internet archive. Nothing in my recycle bin either.

According to my browser history, http://www.whiteking.com.au/Competition/Final_Terms_&_Condit… was the terms and conditions page, it has been replaced with a different link now, and gives a 404 error.

  • You are the weakest link. Goodbye!
    :)

  • Thanks again for the post, received credit into back account on 14th March. Lucky I bought them the day before the revised closing date for the promotion though!
