Amazon is almost price matching Catch which is a better deal if people bought 15% off gift cards.

Lois Lane: Do you like pink?

Superman: I like pink very much, Lois.

Not a deal, this is their usual price (despite it being below MSRP)

  • Didn’t know Apple store was on amazon in Australia . That’s cool.

I think its just been added recently.

  • It's a lot of money for some headphones. But it's Apple.

    • It’s also premium headphones. So yea.

      • -4

Which part of a beats headphone is premium?

        • Beats? Wrong headphones

You should demand to speak to a manager

  • +5

They make Sony and Bose headphones look reasonably priced which are also like $400;)

    • +1

Picked mine up for $292, and there was recently a deal here on the XM4s for $280 new, even less refurbished.

So no, not often even $400 mate, you can pick them up for under $300 almost every week.

Hence at even $600 the Apples are double the price.

If they have double the sound quality - sure, but for me these are a miss.

Still too pricey for my tastes, but Camelx3 indicate that this is a bit of a price reduction, so technically a bargain ;)

    • +1

Technically a deal maybe, definitely not a bargain.

Genuine question. What makes these $300 better than a pair of equivalent Bose or Sony headphones?

    • +3

It doesn't. It may be $50-$100 better but definitely not $300. By the way, it is really heavy. It is like have a brick on your head. You really feel the weight when you move your head.

      • +1

        Better integration with Apple ecosystem.
Atmos …and $299 more price than the competition.

What makes Sony or bose $200 better than moki headphones for $15?

So according to that video, the AirPods Max aren't worth the money. As expected. Thank you.

        • Yeah, it's the beginnings of something, but the tuning is awful, the software is worse, and the price is absurd.

For now just buy the AKG for $100-$120 local, invest in the Sony for like $200 for a refurb pair (and re-tune it with the app) if you need better ANC, or check out the sound quality of the Sennheiser PXC-550 II ($250 on sale) and the Shure Aonic 50 ($350 on sale).

They actually sound a lot better - good sound stage and balanced sound for a pair of 'consumer' phones designed for mobility. But with the equivalent money I would buy Sony for going out and a pair of audiophile phones for use at home.

  • +4

Genuine question, is this 3x better than say a Bose QC35 ii?

  • +2

    This or a PS5

    • +1

Loll for the love of God PS5 or xbox, or a nespresso machine, or new phone or almost a new car at this price!!

  • +2

Just a warning it’s very heavy. I bought it at launch and I barely use it for this reason. Feels like wearing bricks on your head. I prefer my Sony headphone

    • Honestly, not a big fan of the Sony XM4s, considering switching back to my Sennheisers (More comfortable and sound better), however the noise cancellation improvement on the XM4s is hard to pass up.

My biggest problem with the XM4s though is the fact that Sony manufacturer both the XM4s and the PS5, yet you can't connect them to a PS5 without a cable even though they both released in 2020, such a missed opportunity.

      • Sony is notoriously bad with integrating their products together, they could’ve easily created an eco system around PlayStation, headphones, TVs, Mobile phones, laptops etc. but somehow they are never able to excel at this, and it’s one of the main reasons Sony failed to grow bigger and more successful.

However individually on their own, their products are top notch.
