@Spendmore: first of all its not thousands of reviews on MSFS for the xbox series X because most peopel that a serisous about that game wouldn't buy it on a console… secondly most people that do reviews are either paid for it or they are xbox loyalists or fanboys.
yeah I love game pass but I love it more on my PC than I love it on an Xbox series X, its not as powerful as they talk it up to be compared to a PC. I just got a PS5 so I am more >drawed to that because it has PSVR compatiablity and unquie titles I can't play on my pc.
Do you mean you use game pass more on your PC rather than the Xbox itself?
I am still not sure what to get between the PS5 and Xbox Series X. I am a PC person and I usually have a high end PC (apart from now due to the lack of the highest end graphics cards available at reasonable prices), but regardless of the graphic card shortages, I still wanted to try one of the new consoles as I've read how great they are, and that they're much closer to PC performance than they've ever been. I also haven't had a console for years until recently (I bought a Xbox One X second-hand a couple of months ago as I couldn't find a Series X or PS5, and it's OK, but yeah, still prefer to get one of the newer ones).
I am leaning slightly towards Xbox as people have said if I want to use mouse or keyboard that it would have better compatibility, and it also does 1440p, which is the resolution of the gaming monitor I have (I don't have a 4K TV).
As for the PS5, a good selling point for that is that is has games that you can't get on PC, so that would be cool to play some of those games.
I am really not sure which one to try and get.
Is there any game you really want on one console?
Ie. halo? Or spider man on the PS5?
Which controller do you prefer? Main reason I use an Xbox is for the controller.
Do you like playing / having the choice of 100s of different games? Xbox game pass ultimate will make sure you never run out of something to play

advertising for and selling for are 2 different things.
I wouldn't laugh people actually have sold them for that much on ebay have monitored many ebay auctions. there is nothing you can do about people making a profit over people
The auctions which end with those crazy amounts are likely fake bids to screw with the scalpers and inconvenience them. Especially recent closing bids as Facebook Market in my area there are plenty for $900 right now, even $850 which indicates to me that if it really that easy to flip from scalpers and sell for over $1K, they would have already scooped them all up in my area.
A mate of mine sold his xbox series X recently, he listed it for 750 people ended up wining it for 1000 bucks and the bidder actually paid!! so there are people willing to pay that much for the xbox series X
@kungfuman: That's fair enough, I suppose he needs to include the final value fees into the pricing. My comment was mostly in reply to claims these things are still selling for $1,500, which I am a bit more sceptical about - someone above said they bought 7 of these things to profit.
I know some people especially in regional areas are somewhat limited to what is available on Facebook Marketplace so they will naturally pay a premium.
@cute as duck: NZ has a real shortage of both consoles(PS5/XBSX), PS5 disc is selling for $1250 new($819RRP) and digital ~$1050-1100 new($649 RRP).
Xbox Series X is selling for $1200-1600 depending on age/condition($799RRP)
One person in my city has sold more than 60 new PS5 units for a few hundred profit each, the demand is crazy and bids are legit here.
yeah I think I will sell my xbox series X I just got a PS5 and I love it more. Don't get me wrong the xbox series X has been great for the last few months streaming and every thing else but I am finding I play these games on my PC more and my PC has better graphics and ray tracing. COD cold war at 120fps was good though on the xbox series X.
Im tossing up weather or not to sell my series X. Have a decent pc with a humble gtx 1080 so its kind of pointless to keep the series x. never use it
Here i was laughing at people who said it would be hard to get a series x if you missed out on pre orders. Literally thought after a few weeks stores would be overflowing with them. How wrong i was

I was pressing refresh all day for the last week, then my boss called me, as a colleague was off sick and gave me urgent work to do, that was 5 mins before they dropped the stock…

Ok i hope this helps those who missed our pre ordering this as the website no longer lits the pre order anymore.
I called multiple stores today to check and was told that the store could still make the pre-order but due to covid lockdown in Vic, we cant do it in person.Was advised to call EB customer service to see if they could do an phone pre order but was unsuccessful.
The person over the phone gave me a an idea that seemed to work so if you are still trying to pre order, pls try this as it worked for me.
First call the EB games store you want to make the pre-order and confirm that they will be able to do the a gift card pre order. (as this is at the stores discursion)
If the person over the store says yes proceed to the next step.Go to the eb games website and buy 2x $100 eb games gift cards (https://www.ebgames.com.au/featured/egift-cards)
You will get the gift card codes in your email instantly after purchase.Provide the codes to the person over the phone and you are now on the list :)

Good question, i asked the same thing and was told its not in the policy to take credit card numbers over the phone for security reasons.
But i guess its up to them.

Well, got a call from EB Games this afternoon, my series X had arrived and was ready for pick up. Quick couple of months!

@kungfuman: We weren't comparing features just graphic fidelity.
Like I said it won't compare to a 3080 or so but it is very good for what it is, considering there hasn't been anything really optimised for the XSX until now it's premature to judge
If you don't think MSFS looks great on a XSX then I doubt you have one…..or maybe me and thousands of reviewers have got it wrong?
