    The order for Samsung Galaxy S21 5G 256GB Grey is still on backordered as of 11 October 2021. ETA is 1-4 weeks depending where your order in the queue.

    I ordered late in the day as the boss couldn't make up her damn mind, so i guess i'll be near the end od the queue. Sigh.

  • I received mine s21 256gb last week but in the waiting time my LGV30 seems to have self fixed its poor battery performance.

    Not sure if I should treat myself to a new toy or onsell for a couple of hundred profit going from GT and EBay sales?

    If the camera is significantly better than the LG the decision would be easier?

    BTW for anybody still waiting for an ETA try asking telstra for compensation, you might be pleasantly surprised;)

      same as me, ordered around 7pm and got the text notification this evening it has been shipped.
      Does not show an ETA, but it's coming from Sydney to Melbourne

  • Opened Telstra app just now and saw my order has been dispatched. ETA on Telstra app is 13/10 but StarTrack’s ETA is 12/10. I placed my order after 11pm on 02/09 so I’m probably near the end of queue.

    • Same here, ordered mine late and its updated tonight to say ETA is 13th. around lunchtime today was still 'waiting for stock'

    • same for me! :) I'm glad its finally here! Couple of days before Telstra support told me they will only get new stocks on 21st Oct!

  • Just received mine this arvo. S21 256GB Grey. No prior notification or anything. Had a good ol' mexican standoff with the Startrack delivery guy for 15 mins as he refused to hand over the phone because some random 4 digit number he had on the package didn't match my ID (despite everything else incl. name and address matching). Told him to call Telstra to confirm if he didn't believe me to which he said " I'll be on the phone forever ".

    He finally hands it over, I go back into the house and the wife instantly recognises the 4 digits as her driver's licence. Lol. Turns out the Telstra prepaid line is registered under her drivers licence but the myTelstra account is under my name. Not sure how that works and why Telstra would confuse everyone by requiring this licence check. Needless to say, thanks for the phone Telstra but never using your shitty service again.

    • I recieved an email with tracking for one yesterday afternoon and turned up this morning around 9.30. 2nd tracking email at 7.30 this morning and also looks set to be delivered sometime today.

  • StarTrack said the phone was delivered today in the morning but no one has dropped off anything! Telstra told me to contact StarTrack by myself and now I have to wait for them to check where the parcel went. God damn StarTrack!

      Hopefully they've just taken it back to their depot, and startrack haven't lost your package!

    Heads up for you guys, when I was querying where TF my order was and why my money had been sitting in Telstra's account for 4 weeks I asked about compensation not really expecting anything beyond may be $10 or so. The rep however offered up $150 without any further prompting!
    As it's now appeared in my account I'm happy to share the details, prior to this I was worried it was a mistake that might be withdrawn so good luck all!

    • I requested a refund on the 25th of Sep and my order appears “stuck”, using the reps words.

      Finally got a rep in Aus, who said they will call me In the am tomorrow with a resolution. Not getting my hopes up.

      Can’t deliver a phone, can’t provide a refund, if they can’t call me back, I have hit the trifecta.

      Might ask for compensation and see what happens - if they call me back.

  • Got my 256GB black today, but not sure I still want it. Any idea what it's worth (unopened box), and if I can easily transfer the warranty?

      • I've been trying to offload mine for $900 so I can get another phone but haven't been able to offload yet. A lot of scammers out there especially on Gumtree so be careful.

        • Definitely won't get $900 for this - was struggling even at $850, but eventually sold it to a friend…

          Second that about scammers - if there's no money in your account, DON'T send.

          • @Uncle Roger: Yeah - I need a new phone because my old one broke. It was good timing that I got this phone but I'd rather get the Pixel 6. I think $850 is my limit cause I'd rather use this phone than spend any more for a Pixel 6.

    Forgot to mention, I lodged a formal complaint about slow delivery a couple of weeks ago, and was given 1 month phone credit (3 plans on my account) worth $170! Pretty good phone for $500!

      I've sat on my Note 10 and still works fine after nearly 2 years, if it's not bent I'm sure yours will be fine also there pretty rugged phones 👍😁

  • I bought mine through Telstra Rewards. Anyone know how to obtain a receipt/invoice from them for warranty purposes?

    • They should have sent an email with an invoice when you ordered showing price and rewards points spent, otherwise I had to chat with them and they emailed another one. Stupid thing is that it doesn't show up in your account.

      • All I got was a receipt confirmation with an order number they could never find. Amazed the phone even arrived! I'll try and contact them for a proper receipt for warranty purposes.

  • I am only getting to use the S21 last couple days - has anyone recently had success setting up eSIM on this thing? i checked many times with their support, and all said different versions of "yes it's available on this plan/phone, yes you can move to eSIM anytime"
    This AM, the chat agent tells me "the eSIM is not yet available as of the moment. We are working on adding this feature in the future. Though we do not have the timeframe as to when this will be available, We are hoping to have it available within this year."
    Really annoying - so instead of relying on their 'experts', i have to turn to this community to find out if anyone here has setup eSIM on their S21 in the last little while?

    • so now - the team leader is confirming eSIM not avail, and is offering $200 to buy a temp smart device until eSIM is avail, which they'll then give credit on next bill. Doesnt seem much to pickup even a basic 'reasonable' phone… guess i'll have to do some quick research.. Any suggestions on something at this price?

        they have a tech expert line.

        • what will samsung be able to say? it's Telstra telling me that Telstra cannot provide the eSIM service on my plan

          2 x telstra web chat agents confirmed i could move to eSIM, so i proceeded

          • @swampson: Visit a Telstra store so the staff can help you. I’m on prepaid and couldn’t transfer to e-sim using their app as well. But the store staff got it done in a few minutes.

            Some also confirmed on Whirlpool as well.

            • @hawkeye93: thanks hawkeye93 - i will give that a shot. in 6 yrs with T, i have never needed their support .. now first time, and a pretty big issue.. very bland handling by their support. Now i have a taste of what others have mentioned.

              • @swampson: well, probably due to the transition in system from Siebel to Salesforce. Their app really sucks atm.
