    Just got an SMS to say the device has just been delivered. I actually got it last Saturday! Better check there isn't another one lying around.

      Same here an SMS stating my delivery was completed yesterday while I actually got it a week ago, maybe I should start a ticket/complaint I didn't get it yesterday well I wouldn't be lying 👍😁

    So after a week of this whole wrong delivery address cluster fk, the item has been sitting at warehouse for two days. I just called Star Track, and they said the reason is, and no this isn't a joke, Telstra forgot to put a street number on the new consignment….so yes its again going back to Telstra for them to probably fk up again. Cannot believe they didn't think to triple check the address after a week of this shit.

  • anyone know if the s21 comes with a screen protector fitted?
    doco with the phone says it doesnt and to buy one that supports the thumb reader. google says the same tho some says its region dependent. (the ultra def. has one fitted tho)
    a macro pic of the selfie cam shows it could actually have one already fitted. cant tell for sure as ive left the packing plastic on till the protector ive ordered arrives, just in case. works fine but i havent used it with the finger reader.

    Good thing Telstra Mucked up my delivery for this deal as I paid $624 and I'm getting the same phone for $414 directly from Samsung.

            $100 Discount via Live Chat
            $50 discount for mailing subscription
            $185 for Iphone (I won't give them the phone)
            $500 Trade in Bonus
            = 835
            RRP = 414 + 835 = $1249: S21

              The hassle of trying to get all the codes definitely makes this deal worth the $25 more.

              @vinnychase: Saw this in the other thread regarding non-return of device. Pretty ambiguous as they mention "trade-in credit" and could mean you'll be charged $500 + $60 if you don't send the old phone in (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11020842/redir):

                    @2023: Yeah its a Steal. Apple has a trade-in program too but they don't give you credit before you give them the phone.

                    edit: I'll happily steal from Samsung any day of the week because I once gave them a Pristine Condition galaxy s6 in warranty that was fully unresponsive apart from heating up when charging and they sent to their warehouse and it came back with back glass cracked, and not sticking properly, and then I took back to store and store said that they won't repair device as its damaged. I told them it came back like that. They said that is highly unlikely. I had to escalate up to the AUS CEO's office just get them replace the frame

  • Hi, I went into a telstra store today. They told me that we have to be connected for minimum 3 months otherwise they will charge the full price for the handset.

    Just confused….

    Thought it was minimum charge one month.

    • Cancelled as soon as service appeared in my Telstra app no problems using the chat service

        Thought I might as well try out the 5G in my area.

        25Mbps upload and 1.8Mbps

        I rather go back to Vodafone.

        Used to get 50Mbps - and that was using a pixel 4 with 4G.

    still haven't received a device after they sent my device out on the 3rd to the wrong address. pathetic. Hounding customer service daily.

    Was told to expect order on the 6th as per their email. And order tracker. Was initially told by last weekend which was the 11th of sept. On the 10th I was told the 23rd of sept and today 13th sept they basically stonewall and refuse to give a date.

    Essentially they sold items they didn't have and hoped stock would be delivered in time to meet their delivery times.

    This sounds to me to be deceptive practice. Particularly if you orded prior to them notifying that they were out of stock.

    • I guess it depends on the status of the item when ordered. I ordered when it said back order and knew what I was getting into. That said, i'll give it a month and cancel if nothing shows up.

    The tracking website still says mine is on back order so i got on the Telstra message chat earlier today.
    They advised that it was sent on the 6th but i won't get tracking details until it arrives at my place which defeats the purpose of a tracking number. Also said it was with StarTrack.
    I just got an email from auspost saying they have one of my orders from a "Top Logistics", i put that tracking number into StarTrack and what do you know it's an unknown item that was sent on the 6th. Have to assume it's my phone but geez what a system!!!

      To be fair, 38500 clicks through Ozbargain alone on this deal. Cut them some slack! I'm glad they allowed back orders, otherwise I would have missed out.

      Also, their website told you it was back ordered when you purchased it…

      I still can't believe they took the money with no stock.

      When they ran out of stock, it actually said 'backorder' when you place the order. So they TOLD you there wasn't any stock.

      You even posted that your ETA is 20th Sept if you're not happy with it, you could have cancelled then. I dont know why you're here complaining that you have to wait for an item on back order.

        and the ETA was a confirmed lie by the telstra agents. I mean it made no sense when the agent was saying it but i fooled myself due to an order my wife made that just happened to come through startrack.

        On chat yesterday when i decided to cancel they advised no it hasnt been sent and they dont know when they will get stock.

        For me personally it is not worth the hassle of dealing with Telstra for this phone. Others may be different and that is fine with me.

      I cant believe you placed an order knowing it was backordered stock, then complain that they took the order.

    I would not cancel the order if you have a mobile that you can use while waiting for the mobile to arrive.

    I went from a Pixel 4 to the Samsung 21 256GB. I just the mobile. Incredible price as the same time.

    Can resell it in a years time for the same price. How good is that :-)

      Cases? Spigen cases are very good. I've used many and can highly recommend. Saved my phone from damage more than a few times over the years.

      • I have gone with the tough armour case for my last two phones and has been great. Little kickstand and button feel is mint 👌 Now im offthe tools and into full white collar trash mode i might try the slim armour this time around.

  • Just recieved a text stating they are out of stock again and they expect a new shipment on the 30th.. very disappointing. This was for the S21 256 ordered on the day. Anyone have any ideas to jump the queue?

      Grey s21 256 gb ordered about 5pm on the day. Did NOT show as backordered when order placed.

        Cause if you haven't then I don't see it as an issue yet. I was charged on the day ….been "in delivery" since…I'm at the point I just want it cancelled and refunded so I don't have to deal with Telstra ever again…. but I can't even cancel now it's ridiculous.
