  • Thanks OP - just picked one up. This has ended a few weeks of searching for a friend and am very happy with the cost/performance of this device.

I think I also gamed the system a little in that I didn't have an .edu email. I was able to get all the way to the checkout but it would never let me progress yet wouldn't give any error. Ended up jumping on live chat where they converted my cart to a quote, I then had that emailed to me and called up and paid over the phone.

    AU$1,259.10 with same code?

    • I wouldn't buy that for that price, old gen CPU & GPU etc.
Can you try this deal with EDUCOMM code ?

I got below specs for $1303 with that previous deal (Shopback pending, hopefully it will reduce the price bit further)

      Storm Grey Colour Configuration $1303
      Ryzen 5600H

  • Hey, I'm looking for a new laptop and just saw this deal again.
Can anyone confirm if this model is definitely a 300 nits 100% SRGB screen? On the main product information page for the Lenovo Legion Ideapad Gaming 3 it shows the screen is 250 nits and 120hz, and reviews of this particular screen say it is less than 60% SRGB. When I add this model to the cart it is showing 300 nits and 100% SRGB which would be great but I just find it odd that is shows different specs on the main product info page, i.e the 120hz screen.

    • +1

There are two options of Ideapad Gaming 3. US market mainly sold 5600H, 120hz with 8gb RAM. OZ's 5800H, 165Hz with 16GB RAM is (slightly) better.
However if Legion 5 is on sale and in stock, it 's no brainer to pick Legion 5 instead.

      • I actually just bought a Legion 5 Pro :') it was a lower spec'd model though that was in stock for '2 day shipping', as the one I really wanted would take 2+ months according to the Lenovo rep and I need a laptop well before then

        • I received this Ideapad gaming last week (ordered late Aug). To be honest if Legion 3060/3070 is in stock (and discounted for sure), that's a better deal. No any wow from this Ideapad on appeareance.
But once it's gaming I won't care the appearance. The 90w 3060 vs 140w 3060 is about graphics settings on High vs Ultra.

This IDEAPAD GAMING has a thermal cooling problem, I have reported it in Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/comments/pyf9bx/read_before_…

If you have the same problem, great if you would reply to the post. Cheers,
