      this

    • +1

      This is faster

    • -3

These are much better for mining than 6700s.

  • +2

    3060 is a good price!

    • -4

2x 3070Ti gives much better hash rate than 1x 3080, at half the price.

      • 2 of these 3070ti will get U around 100mh/s for 2600 plus delivery. There have been 3080 non LHR that will get 97mh for 1788 plus delivery from techfast recently. The 3070ti is not as good value as 3060ti or cheaper 3080 if mining.

        • You can't get 3080 for under $2000 now. I was talking about current price (now).

          • @[Deactivated]: Smart miners also don't just buy what's available "now". They wait for the good deals and leave the crud.

            • +1

@Canberralad92: That';s why I'm still using a rig of 5 year old 1070 and couple of 2070s from last year. way before LHR crap.

  • +17

Shame that the 3080’s for $1588 haven’t made a comeback

  • +1

Still waiting on my 3060 Ti's from last weeks deal to be sent out :\

    • +31

      Techfast? more like techslow….

      I'll show myself out.

      • Very true

      • Got my 3070 in 3 days after payment - so I can't agree. First experience is good.

        • +1

Took close to 2 months for my little brothers computer. First experience was less than good.

          • @Chaffix: Really depends on the product I guess. I waited for over one and half month for my pc build, and it arrived with a broken case. However, the replacement was trouble free. Still a happy customer. :-)

            • @xerocopy: many people dont read the ads properly when they say for delivery in 2mths (or what ever)when parts arrive.

          • @Chaffix: Took me a few months to get mine. But this was at the start of the huge part shortage and they were awesome enough to also add custom parts to mine since I'm based in Adelaide.

I got a 5900x / 3090 machine for 4.5k which still clocks in in the top 1% on 3D Mark.

Given how much that would cost now, I couldn't be happier and was glad I got in when I could've (just checked, a 3080ti system costs 7k at PCCG atm ><D) .

Techfast rules and if you want to sulk about delays etc, go pay twice the amount at PCCG.

            Haters gonna hate.

            • +2

@Ruddaga: PCCockGear here, let me cock you on your warranty.

              • @Pandabargain: 3k + for a warranty?

Absolute bargain. I stand corrected my friend. 😅

                • @Ruddaga: Nah they have scammed me hard before has to go to VCAT. $200 ducky keyboard broke 14 months after use. Came with 12 month warranty. They denied my warranty claim.and refuses to honour my rights as I consumer. Cost me $80 at VCAT + a day off work to get a $200 refund. Absolute shocking business

                  • @Pandabargain: Oh you're talking about pccg. They've usually been good when I've had issues. But that's disappointing to hear.

                    • @Ruddaga: II sent them a power supply for warranty back in Jan too. 3 year old, had 10 year warranty. Took 4 months to get it back as the manufacturer choose to repair and they refused to budge with giving me a store credit. They also wouldn't discount a new PSU when asked. They have 0 customer service skills

            • @Ruddaga: Not really much of a comparison but go off I spose. 3090s were fairly available on launch because even retail they were too expensive, lol.
But hey if you've got the cash to splash why tf not.
I haven't done business with PCCG since they forced delivery, nor will I. I'm a centrecom/msy homie now, and you wont catch me paying for a prebuilt as I'm a system integrator.
Techfast are fine pricewise, absolutely. I'm not hating on or refuting that. It's just the time frames that ruin it for me.

    • +4

I confirm their single 3070 (non-Ti) deal arrived within a week from express option. Good job techfast.

  • -1

Damn wish there was a 3060 to for $8xx

    • +8

      But there's a 3060 for $7xx ??

      • +6

I'm assuming it's a typo and he meant 3060ti. Which is a notably better card than a 3060.

      • +2

Sorry typo to meant to be Ti

    • +2

i got the 3060ti for $859 a few weeks back, but if i didnt then id seriously be considering that gainward 3070 for $1188.

  • +4

    Still holding for below $1000

    • +3

The cheapest 3070 at launch in Australia was $949, and this was before NVIDIA put their prices up. You might be waiting a while for <$1000.

      • +7

Not really true, my mate bought his at launch for $870
I also remember many deals being posted for around that price

        • +1

i bet very small amount were sold under $1000 anyway

      • +1

bought a galax 3070 for dad for $890

    • +2

So you'd let it go for $1005?

  • -2

Good price considering crypto is climbing up again.

    • LHR

      • +1

LHR mostly affects Etherium mining, which looks to be ending in the next 4-5months anyway. Miners are still happy to buy them.

        • 3070 non-LHR gets me about $5.50/day, 3060ti should get me about $4.50/day

        • LHR is such a joke. Cards aren't any more available now, they're more expensive again, and you can't effectively offset the cost of your card with Etherium until it ends :(

  • +1

Gainward vs Gigabyte for the 3070 Tis?

    • +1

Gainward after this and other bad reports about gigabyte
      https://youtu.be/-4g7OtpKuTU

      • Some might say Gigabite your wallet and components go gigaBYE

      • BTW I have gagabyte 805w psu from techfast a few month ago. I am very concerned now.

  • +16

For anyone curious, I bought the Gainward 3070 in the previous deal - Super happy with it. Great build quality and temps. I'd 100% recommend choosing it over the Gigashyte Eagle variant as the temps on those are pretty average based off what I've heard.
.. not to mention their business practice.

The 3070 ti seems good for the price too, but there isn't a great deal of performance difference between it and the non ti variant - maybe 6-8% off memory. As always DYOR though :)

Edit: It also has some RGB sWaG for anyone that cares lol

    • +2

+1 for this, also picked up the card recently and very impressed.

    • Oh, I just bought the gigabyte. How worse is the temperature problem? I'm using a silence case, the temperature problem is a killer.

I don't need RGB, hope it can be turned off.

      • The general consensus is that they run hot courtesy of crap thermal pads and a subpar cooler build/design. That said I'm sure it will run as you'd expect, assuming that you don't hit the thermal throttling threshold. If your PC already has average cooling then you may want to invest in some more fans though

      • Email Techfast and see if anyone cancelled Gainward order.
Desipte recent thermal pad issue, Gigabyte GPU generally needs to be avoided for its poor quality and cheap parts.

    • +1

      Yes - I've got Gainward 3070 - amazingly good.

  • +4

$750 for a 1080p card in 2021. Good luck to PC gamers without deep pockets.
3060 appears equivalent to my 1070ti.
Looks like the future is destined to be cryptominers running the latest GPUs and gamers getting the previous generation used mining cards.

    • -2

*the future is everyone becomes crypto miners

    • They are stopping making non LHR cards so we will see them dropping (as this is kinda starting) soon, all TI's and all new 3060/3070/3080's are LHR bar the 3090, have a look around and you will see non-LHR cards selling out at stores and not coming back in stock, it's all being replaced by LHR.

      • Hasn't done much when they can get 70% on LHR cards.
My understanding is that it only impacts ETH.
It will eventually be worked around.

The solution is to manufacture CMP cards but this also has two problems:
        1) No resell value for miners, creating less incentive to buy and more e-waste
        2) Still takes production away from cards for gamers

Until mining stops, PC gamers are back of the queue regardless of the token efforts of Nvidia.

        • Mining is never gonna stop, it's gonna be a constant battle kinda like piracy (using the comparison loosely), least Nvidia is trying, personally I have hope they will keep trying to stay on top of it or make mining harder, LHR cards have been dropping in price the last few weeks, nowhere near what they should be (ie RRP), but it's something atleast.

        • Is a token effort by NVIDIA better than no effort by AMD (or as I like to refer to as advanced mining devices)?
6800 within $200 of the 6900xt due to identical mining performance is pretty comical at the moment.
          I should probably sell my 6800 and buy a 6900xt.. there's a thought.

          • +1

@unkz: I don't think nvidia is doing it out of the goodness of their own heart to be honest.

They're probably just trying to funnel miners into their dedicated mining GPU's. Because if all miners are using consumer GPU's when/if crpyto's crash, there is going to be huge excess of incredibly cheap GPU dumped onto the market. Which will inevitable impact their bottom line in the future

        • +1

No resell value for miners, creating less incentive to buy and more e-waste

Miners will buy as long as they can earn money. Creating mining cards is designed so that the market isn't swamped by secondary sales.

          • @Cozzie: I just mine with my gaming pc, but however according to my limited understanding the 3070ti is only limited on ETH, no effect on RVN. In some extreme conditions theLHR cards even seems to be more energy efficient on RVNs.

  • +2

I still want to know why brisbane PC shops have these cards at $1699 and over. It's insane.
    I

    • +1

People pay it. I was at my local MSY recently and an older businessman walked in and bought a $1299 3060. The guy buying obviously had no idea and was spun by the sale guy that it's 300% the performance to his 1060.

      • +2

You did well not to burst out laughing…

  • had anyone got their CPU and GPU combo from the last techfast deal yet? maybe by the time you get the GPU the price will drop even more?(maybe wishful thinking here)

  • Gigabyte 3070 Ti already OOS…

  • +2

Waiting patiently for a white card.

  • pretty great price on the 3060 relatively speaking

  • Thanks OP! My son is stoked to have a 3060 at this price.

  • any recommendation for a GPU that can do 4 x monitors? not really a gamer just need more video output…..

    • get any old card for cheap, I have 4 lying around that I'd sell you if it wasn't lockdown

      • thanks. could u name some models? I will go search on ebay.

        • +1

Check out Asus GeForce GT 710 Graphics Card

          • @iYuD: $120 thereabout on Amazon. Thanks bud

        • +1

Just search graphics card, and sort by lowest. the GT710 is common for just video output.

    • +1
      • Didn't realise there was a GT710 model with 4x video outputs. Good if you can actually find one of these

        • thanks. found one from Amazon USA. I didnt know GT710 has a model with 4 x HDMI too. I have always seen the picture that shows 1 x HDMI and 1 x DVI. Learning something today.

    • If you're purely after 4 monitors without gaming preference at all for cheap grab 2 GT710's, around $150 each new, prob cheaper used.

      • thanks found a new GT710 for $120. I will go look on ebay. maybe can get one even cheaper.

        • All good mate, just make sure the model can do 4 displays if only getting 1, the one I have for my second PC even know it has 4 outputs can only do 2, hence why I had to get 2. I didn't look into if others can do 4 with 1 card cause was lazy and just got a 2nd one.

No idea why they build something with 4 outputs when it cant do 4…

        • +1

          Honestly, I'd look for a GT 1030.

GT 710 are Kepler and won't be supported in driver updates in the very near future (sometime this month) and are being transitioned to legacy status (security updates only).
GT 1030 is Pascal, so you've got a few more years of driver support yet (and they're almost the same price as a GT 710 )

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_700_series

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_10_series

(edit) slight problem is that the GT 1030's have little in the way of quad DP or HDMI mini. Perhaps a cheap Quadro P400 or P600 instead?

          • @Revrnd: Thanks mate. I tried but could not find a GT1030 with quad output. I am currently using an Nvidia K2000 (yes very old and only 3 output). I will investigate the P400 and P600 cards. Sorry to hijack this thread.

            • @jeeg: Depending on availability and pricing, there's also the Nvidia T series of Quadro cards too. But then you're starting to climb up toward $300+ for a card.

There's a couple of cheapies on ebay, just depends on what comes up really.

  • Isn't the 4000 series releasing sometime next year 2022? Or am I mistaken?

    • Late 2022/Early 2023, should be.

      • I will say late 2022

  • This is a silly question, but where do I get my order number for the bank transfer? I didn't see it on the checkout page. Do I need to wait for an email?

    • wait for the email

      • I used the number on my account page under orders

        Should have something like TF#XXXXXXXXX

I used the TF and the digits

  • +11

1070 to get me through to the 40xx series which I will incorporate into my home loan

  • The 3070ti is oos now

  • I am srsly wondering if it's needed to buy a $1250 3070ti as at the moment..I cannot justify it's value by all means..Rather wait for $3080 or $3060ti..

    • If you have a computer that's doing the job and you're happy with how it performs right now, I'd suggest holding off any gpu purchase due to the inflated prices. The 4000 series is expected to release somewhere mid-late next year or early 2023, plus, those gpus will be more focused on targeting gamers.

  • +1

This is the price I want to pay for a RTX 3080 Ti.

    Just sayin'.

    • All OOS including the $1599 3070ti, sad reality
