      Nope. 60hz, no VRR, edge-lit instead of local dimming, no QLED VA panel. No Dolby Vision.

      HGIG, ALLM, QFT, VRR arent common HDMI 2.1 specs, and it seems that VRR is only working on Samsung and LG. Sony promises to get it working soon, but, it's not obvious how.

      The Q60T/Q70T would also be blurry with sport content or streaming, HDR would be dim, and the narrow angle would make couch watching difficult for the left/right seats. They get around this distortion with a wide angle filter on the more expensive models.

      It's average. If OLED and HDR didn't exist, it would be a strong TV, but they stripped out features to bring it into a cheap price bracket. The Q60T/Q70T and the Q80T are 6/10 and 7/10 TV's in a crowded market.

      And if you were going to get a budget 85", the Hisense/TCL are strong contenders too.

      I'd probably check the Sony X85J sales and price before jumping on this as it's similar in that budget bracket.

      The Q60T does have eARC, BFI and 4k 10ms latency, but you don't get the blur reduction from a faster panel and LD/QLED features for bright images and strong HDR.

      It's probably about the same or worse than the alternative Sony X80J or X85J because the upsampling chipset X-Reality /X1 HDR chipset is better on the Sony. HDR is a crapshoot without local dimming or native contrast boosting, but Dolby Vision should be an improvement, even with ~400 nit capacity.

      The LG Nano86/91 is arguably similar, but it's IPS vs VA and the LG has different problems in their lacklustre Nano "Not-QLED" range.

        Edge lit tvs need to die a severe death. Friend of mine got a Nanocell LG with so much blooming and IPS glow it was ridiculous , swapped for a Samsung QN85 and is much happier

        I like the Sony 2021 lineup due to Google TV integration, but was wondering how can we tell if Motion 200 is the same as 200 Hz?

        I read the Samsung Q80A is a 100 Clear Motion, so you are advising it's 60Hz and I actually can't find that stated on the manufacturer's website/spec sheets - but only after reading reviews I find that 100 CMR doesnt mean 100 Hz….

        Is there an easy way to find out the native Hz?

        Which model Hisense or TCL do you suggest investigating (100 Hz, full array local dimming, eArc)?

    Is it just me or are bigger 70"+ TV's getting considerably cheaper? I've been noticing loads of these new 85" TV's from various brands selling anywhere from $2k to $3.5k, which is just insane to me. I could have sworn that a few years ago 85"+ TV's were almost $10k. Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Whilst being Samsung "Qled" please keep in mind this panel isn't that great unless you desperately want an 85inch. No HDMI 2.1, no full array dimming, only 100hz refresh rate achieved through software (actual refresh rate is 60hz I believe), no Dolby Vision and the list goes on. If you really want an 85 inch and you like Samsung OS then sure go for it, but if you can settle for a 75inch at the same/cheaper price there are better options or alternatively spend more for a better TV. I was recently in the same position and ended up buying a 85inch Sony x900h - I have been very happy with it.

        QN90A is probably the king, then you step down to the LG C1, Sony A80J OLED

        or X90J / QN85A for the best big budget TV.

        The differences between the Q90A, C1 and A80J are going to depend on the room and your budget / expectations. The 77" A80J/C1 are going to be a different budget to the QLED 75"+ TV's

        The 85" QN85A is better than the 75" QN85A, and it's similar to the 75" QN90A features (and price) and it's probably the best compromise of price and size.

        A lot of the mid-range TV's are going to be hard to sort between, because the quality features are removed, but the price stays the same.

        Which is why the Hisense U8G is capable against the mid-range and despite the lead that LG, Sony and Samsung have, it's worth considering as long as you know it's got issues. From there, you just choose what you can compromise on.

        do you want a cheap 75", or something you won't swap for 4-5 years.

        If you want gaming, LG then Samsung. Maybe hisense. If Sony ever gets their VRR update, It would be an option. There is no guarantee that Sony will honour their VRR marketing, keep it in mind when international warranty periods expire and VRR hasn't arrived in a working state, or it only works at 1080p.

        A lot of the current HDMI 2.1 features are gaming oriented, but most people will only use eARC, not 8K60 or ALLM, HGIG or VRR.

        For Movies, Sony OLED, LG OLED, Samsung Neo QLED, and then it gets complicated. Anything over 500-600 nits for HDR is bright enough for a dark room, but 900-1200 is needed against sunlight or downlight brightness.

        75" HDR needs a lot of local dimming zones to work well without blooming or blurring, so it's a mixed bag with LED and QLED. So, the midrange of 75" models e.g. Q60A/Q70A/Q80A and NANO86/90/91 and the TU8000/X70J/X80J/X85J etcetera are on par with the TCL and Hisense models. The difference is going to depend on how/where you compromise.

        It will likely be hard to find a 75 inch OLED at this price so I won't bother suggesting any. Therefore for a similar price(if not a bit more) the TV's worth considering in my opinion are:

        -Samsung QN90A
        -Samsung QN85A Neo
        -Sony X90J 75 Inch (updated 2021 version of the x900h)
        -Sony x9000H 75 Inch (last years model but a good TV that can likely be found cheaper)

        Some things to consider:
        -Any Samsung model lower than those won't be great
        -Most non-OLED LG TV's aren't great
        -Operating systems make a difference. Having owned both a Sony and Samsung, I much prefer Android TV compared to Samsungs Tizen OS

    I found when replacing my faulty 75" Hisense QLED that I was better off buying a smaller TV & moving it closer to my seating position. I saw the same number of pixels on all 4K TV's, meaning for the price of this TV I could have a 65" 120hz, maybe OLED, VRR, HDMI 2.1, full array dimming, better HDR, 12bit colour panel etc. And if I wasn't interested in these things, I could've just pocketed the difference.
    I guess this TV is for a huge room, full of people?

      It does have eARC and 4K60, and some missing Samsung features, but it's a Q60A. Reviews are going to be 6/10 for a clear reason - this is a budget model in the midrange. It is missing features.

      it's just that it's an edge-lit QLED, and using a baseline/budget QLED is going to be blurry for Sports and Games, and hard to get HDR brightness.

      If you never open Netflix/Disney+, and only watch TV news, you are getting a great deal. But, if you can discern or compare to other TVs that are cheaper and the same size, they will have a better image quality.
