  All Vic and NSW clearance stock is being sent to other states for this reason. Parafield would've sold through their stock a while ago before these were transferred over.

    Apple just calls its new aluminium remote 'Siri Remote' for some reason - the old black remote (as per OP deal) also has Siri functionality.

  This is the previous model and at this price an absolute bargain. Unfortunately none near me. The only diff for the new model at $245 is a slightly more powerful chip and a better remote.
  
  If you want an upgrade get the new Apple TV remote for $83 and you are still under $200.

My house is basically all setup with a Google ecosystem. Is it worth having apple TV as a standalone TV box or should I just go the latest chromecast?

  I have considered getting an apple tv just for the screen savers, they are beautiful!
  However if you are set up with Google then stick with it.

  To be honest the Chromecast App ecosystem and Chromecast handoff system are way better IMO, the main reason to go an Apple TV is for AirPlay for streaming your iPhones screen. I don't think this is a very useful feature outside of streaming mobile games to your TV IMO.

Just returned from the Marion store, appears nil further left on the shelf. I purchased the last 64gb for $129 so they might be available at other stores? Also remotes were $33 and there were a few left.

Anyone know any available in ACT ? Rang belco store and they couldn't even find it in system, While I was on call some bogan was yelling and swearing at staff so didn't wanna be too pushy and hung up, feel pretty bad for retail staff

Don’t impulse buy this just because you like Apple products. This device only makes sense if you have a very specific use case for it. Otherwise, most Smart TVs or a Chromecast would do the trick.
