Asus GeForce RTX 2060 Dual EVO OC 6GB Graphics Card $799 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Umart

1013

Hard to gauge exact value but these are selling for $900-950 at other retailers. Might be better off waiting for a $600 RX 6600/XT or a $900 3060 (if we'll see those prices again).

$799 sits right bang in the middle of 1080p Ray-traced with DLSS "entry-level" in this horrible market, and is probably a decent deal considering the second-hand prices of these and 2060 Supers, but not great looking at 3060 non-supers for $818 just a month ago.

Addendum, 6 GB of VRAM might be a little long in the tooth for some. Cheers

    That used to be a 400ish card…sad.

    hahahahaha

Hard to gauge…. This feels wrong

    • Very easy to gauge. It is wrong!

Can't recommend this. It's not even good for mining at this price range since 580s and 1070s perform better and can be had for less.

My son's Super mines at around 40 MH/s, which is roughly the same as what my old 1080ti did. Not sure what the non-Super is like though

      • The non-super is only around 28MH/s, since it has a smaller memory bus.

    • Lol I thought for a second you meant GTX 580 then I realised you probably meant the AMD card

  • No Deal!

  • No such thing as a "budget" gaming PC nowadays.

    • HD6950

I'd be going with integrated graphics. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised at how good integrated can perform than indefinitely dirty about how much I'd paid for a superseded low-midrange card.

Worst case get an XSX for AAA games.

      • +1

I advised a friend who was building a PC this very thing, he doesn't do PC AAA gaming anyway, might if he had a GPU, but better a decent CPU with onboard than being scammed like this.

      • I have the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 in my laptop, I don’t game on it at all but video playback etc is completely fine

  • Comments do not disappoint. Happy 2021

      This was bait, amirite Miner?

      • Ehh *Myna.

Have often seen a card deal come up that triggers the dopamine, only to get to checkout and get lost in userbenchmark with scope creep. Horrible deal, but a deal nonetheless.

I'm all for OzInStock or whatever on new generation stuff, but a 2060 at this price is just not a bargain no matter how you slice it

    • Your OzBargain sklills do not disappoint

    ridonculous!

    2060 for this money

sold my 2yo gaming rig with profit and got myself a 3060 laptop for $1149, still got spare change left

will build a new rig when.. ahem.. things go back to normal again? will they? w/e I am good for now

    • +2

Don't think the 3060 in the lappy will be full fat 3060

      • nah it won't, but it'll hold value for longer than the system that I sold

The year was 2016. Trump had just started his term and the Brits had voted for Brexit. I had just bought my first NVidia card, a GTX1080 for the princely sum of $800.

I didn't know it at the time, but it was the last graphics card I would ever buy

    • +1

      Trump was inaugurated January 2017

      • +1

True! GTX1080 older than Trump presidency but still better than this.

  • +1

    jesus, $800 for this?

    i'd wait a bit longer

  • +2

As odd as it is, this is an actual deal for a gpu, performance to dollar wise.

    • Don't spoil the fun

  • +7

Man, this is bad deal, but 6600 for $609 is far more better value than this.

    • Good luck getting a 6600 for $609, my friend Jack says the going rate for a 6600 is upwards of $700-750.

      • +1

Makes my pre-order for a 6600xt for $650 easier to take now even with it being almost 2 months old.

        • Yeah, the only way to get a card even close to MSRP is at launch date, even then it gets sold out really quickly.

  • 2060 or 6600 or 6700xt? Which is better for mining? Lol

    • 6700 XT > 6600 > 2060

6600 would have the shortest time to break even, then the 6700 XT and then the 2060.

Bought a 2070S for $650 last August. Was criticised for not waiting for the 30 series. Such is life.

    • Even with the 30 series out, that's actually still a great card

  • I sold one of these cards on eBay last week for $820, i originally paid $600 for it from centrecom in 2019, absolutely insane times we are living in!

  • No. Just no.

  • +1

2060 Super for almost half this price this time last year https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/571694

  • Get this off ozbargain

    Mod: Removed Inappropriate

Holy mother of god, if you are going to pay scalper prices then just get a 30 gen card, I mean sure you would be looking at +200$ or so for an in-stock 3060, but heck you are already going to pay 800 bucks for a goddamn 2060 of all things.

This have to be the worst gpu deal in the history of ozbargain.

  • +4

hitting new lows and not in the good way

  • Quite possibly the shittest deal

  • Worst ozb deal ever!

  • Happy April Fools..wait a minute…

    • +1

Same, I thought it was the 1st of April too.

I got a 2060 Super for my son in July last year for $430. Back then people were saying they weren't worth that and to wait for the RTX 3000 series.

    Who's laughing now? ;)

    • +1

      "Who's laughing now?"

the people who waited for the 30 series and got one at launch for RRP like you should have done

      • Well I'm still laughing because I did get 3000 series at launch for myself. A 3080 for $1139 :D

The 2060 Super for $430 was a decent deal, what 3000 series was I getting for anywhere near that price?

        • its very touching how happy it makes some people to have saved a couple of hundred dollars :') brings a tear to my eye…

  • How’s this a deal when you can literally buy a 3060 for that price?

  • Initially read as 3060 deal, well expensive but taking into account the GPU market, why so many negative votes? After I noticed it was 2060, not 3060.

    • People are sick of the prices, and I don't blame 'em.

Even though this is 90% the performance of a 3060 for 80% the price, "Shooting the messenger" is the Ozb way!

      • +1

I'd not call the negative vote "Shooting the messenger", it's an evaluation if it looks like a good deal or not, not in any way something against you.
