    • I've been with them for a month and the only hiccup I had was when I kicked my network cable out of my router and didn't notice.

      No issues on their end.

  • Just a positive about ClubTelco. I recently moved to Patterson Lakes. Tried every major ADSL provider (TPG whom I was with for over 9 years, Optus, Telstra, DoDo, and a few others). All companies told me that they could not supply me with ADSL as I was too far from the exchange. However, could do mobile broadband (umm, yeah, no.. I download a lot).

Called ClubTelco, said they could provide us ADSL2+.. Have been with them for about 4 months now. Very quick to organise connection and set up our phone line through them. Get my 5% discount for phone and net with them. Just noticed on my last bill that my $50 monthly fee was reduced to the $40 metro zone fee. So they do automatically change your plans (something TPG never automatically did, which frustrated me after 9 years with them).

Overall, have never had a issue with our access, and have never needed to call them. Just thought I'd post, as I am normally very weary of random companies I've never heard of, but this one turned out fantastic.

    :)

    • Same situation with me. Very happy with them. Been with them for also 4 months. I was previously on telstra but it was hell expensive. Got my home line with them too.
Also my Monthly $50 went down to $40 automatically and i also got an email informing me before the change occurred.

  • how can I find out what my "real" phone number is???? I'm with TPG VOIP so only have a "DID" no.

    • you wil have to call their customer service, there is a number you can plug into a phone line and dial and it will read back your number to you. I used to know it, sorry. Maybe google?

  • Hi guys I am willing to sign up to this offer as I am under a local exchange, can anyone give me a referral code so that both of us can get the $25 credit.

    Thanks

    • Hello,

You may use my customer number as referral number, it's:7718491, My name is Neo Qian incase they ask my name for this customer number.

      Cheers!

      • Hey Neo. Get ready for another $25. I've just used your number as a referral as well. For other new sign-ups, if you'd like to do me the same favour and get us both $25, my number is 7718785. Thanks! :)

        • Hello gtko! I've used your referal! Thanks for puting this up! This is a great chain. If anyone else would like to get 25$ you can use referal number 7719019… Cheers!

  • Been using clubtelco since a month & happy with the speed and service provided.

  • Anyone seen the bus ads for vevetel? It's only $20 a month, plus some line rental.

    Unlimited.
I guess they will be providing this service for $18.75 a month then.

Bleh, screw the bus ad was misleading it seems. Only lasts 6 months…

    ACCC here I come.

  • I got a offer from Club Telco for unlimited ADSL2+ Land line rental including free local calls for $70 and a discount 5%. I live in Forestlake, Brisbane and I am currently with Telstra from almost 5 years. Is it a good offer? Advice.

    • Yep. I'm also in Forest Lake and I've been with them for 4 months now. And what I said above I was previously on telstra but it was hell expensive. Got my home line with them too.
Also my Monthly $50 went down to $40 automatically and i also got an email informing me before the change occurred. And speed wise I'm getting 7mbps download speed as I'm on a sub exchange (the one at grand avenue) and that's the max speed the exchange can handle.

Currently in Forest Lake and paying $40 (internet)+$30 (Line rental) with a 5% discount on the bill.

      Hope that helps.

My customer number is 7699982 and name is Phong Van if you want to take advantage of the $25 referral.

      • Hello Phong, I have also join them for phone and BB saving $20/monthly from telt$ra and you might have $25 on your account. For other new sign-ups, if you'd like to do me the same favor as well and get us both $25, my number is 7719877.

        • Hello Samsico I have just joined Clubtelco and I have used your number as reference.
If anyone would join up and like to use my number you may do so my number is 7724147

      • Thanks for that samsico. hope you enjoy the many benefits from clubtelco

      • That's one of their cool things, you will always be moved to a cheaper plan if there is one available, they don't keep charging you more until you request the change.

      • Hi Phong, I used your customer number!!! I signed up on Friday but called them just now telling them I forgot to tell them your details. They told me that you had to call them, but then the operator said that it didn't matter and that we would both get the $25.00 credit.

This is really cool! If anyone else needs a referral to get the $25 and help me on the way, my customer number is 7724969 and the name is Juan Troncoso, from Gold Coast.

I'll post with my experience a week after the service goes active (which should be by tomorrow).

        See you soon!

  • I m on the same plan since a mth.& its good. Quite satisfied.

  • Just a quick post, if anyone is going to sign up, my customer number is 7717856 if you want to give me a referral bonus :-) Don't expect anyone to take me up on it but it never hurts. If you want any info on Club Telco before signing up I am happy to give you my experience.

  • Just Thought I would post up a quick review of ClubTelco based on my experience.

I switched from Internode to them.
Signup was straight forward and painless.
Telstra took longer to port over to Eftel Dslam (clubtelco) ~1week.

Upon signing up I got an email from clubtelco 1 day later confirming the details and providing me with login details and myportal link tc. I could then login via clubtelco site and check my account.

Internet was down for about 12hours whilst it was ported from Internode to Clubtelco.

I have now been using Clubtelco for over 2 weeks and I have to say I am quite surprised with the performance and the value for money given that my connection is on their $25/month "local" zone. Obviously, DODO has improved their infrastructure as the data is provided by DODO. (though international was much more stable with internode)
Sync speeds and throughput were about the same as Internode's Agile DSLAM

There has been a couple of misconceptions around here and just to make sure:
Clubtelco uses EFTEL dslam for local and Telstra Wholesale for others. They dont use Optus and the data is provided by DODO.

    The cons are minimal:

1-forget using clubtelco/dodo's DNS and use google or something else that updates quickly.
2-compared to Internode, clubtelco's/dodo's international bandwidth capacity is not as strong and well catered to. I have tested this repeatedly and the biggest issue is the fluctuation seen in data rate.

Overall I am quite impressed and happy with CT. Would be nice if they could buy more international bandwidth and from more providers.

  • Can anyone give me a referral code so that both of us can get the $25 credit? Many thanks in advance.

    • why don't you use some of the ones listed above?

      • Wanted updated posts to ensure knowledge and consent as well.

    • Yes I can give you a referral code, I just signed with them today. My number is 7724147

  • just read a review saying that Club Telco rent lines off DoDo. DoDo rent has the highest customer dissatisfaction rate according to the ACCC, this is even though it has a marginal amount of customers compared to other providers. I've read three reviews which all state Club Telco has HORRIBLE customer service. I think I will stay with Telstra.

  • +1

BTW, I'm on the $40.00 plan, however when I checked online it says my number is Local….. Would it have anything to do with the fact that my phone line is Telstra?
