Still can't believe my Ozito Jet Blower was $30… One of the all time greatest ozito bargains posted on here.

    • +1

Argh nice, I wanted that but it was sold out everywhere here. :(

    • Do you rate the Jet blower?

      • +3

        Best I've used

    • +1

Indeed. I gave away op’s blower right after I bough the jet blower for $29. Still can’t believe that price. But old days gone, can’t image Bunnings will do that gain.
Anyway, I did enjoyed using op’s when I only had a little yard. Light and easy to use, good unit.

It's definitely still useful to have the smaller one even if you have the larger one. This smaller one can handle most tasks and is a fraction of the weight, size, battery consumption and noise. So much easier to whip out for a quick tidy up.

    • Still new in the box for me LOL.
Till the ol Ryobi one decides to kick the bucket (if ever)

    • Noticed the Ozito Jet Blowers are back in stock at Bunnings…for $135. Fml.

I was just trying a friends one! Not as strong as more expensive models, but definitely useful.

  • And of course this goes on sale a few months after I buy it…

It's fine, not very powerful but does the job I need of clearing grass clippings off the patio. If you had mounds of leaves to move it would take ages.

I'm not courting controversy but I must say this. I found blowers are annoying and often useless. Sure there are circumstances required blowing things out of cracks & crevices but only work for light items [drop a gold coin rolling into a crack. The blower is hopeless in this case]. On the other hand, blowers are noisy & throwing up dust. Raking is better. Cheers!

    • +1

The reason you find blowers useless is that u maybe one those you cant think outside the square.
i have one, yet hardly used in the garden. one use is clean dust out of dropsaw. Another use is clean grass clippings out of ride on mower.

If you have a concreted open air garage or concrete under deck/house area that collects leaves and dust it is extremely useful. It is less useful for leaves on the lawn.

Good deal except I would prefer 4.0ah battery instead of 2.5ah

      • the 2.5 does my edging and blowing easily. smallish courtyard though

Got me excited, but unfortunately it's not an edger in the kit.

      • Yeah I got excited too. :(

        • Same, I was… on edge… too

    • You got me excited, until I clicked and realised it's not an edger, it's a line trimmer. Isn't an edger the one that has metal blade that's is oriented vertically? The ozito one is usually around the 180 mark

    • Damn isn’t available anywhere in vic. Even shipped.

  • +3

Great for blowing dry leaves off your pavement. But the use case is limited due to its weak strength.

  • +1

This is pretty good for keeping the garage neat and tidy

  • Whoop I have the 18v drill and needed this

  • Why on earth ozito ddger never on special?

  • This vs Aldi's blower ?https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-30-october/saturday-detail-wk43/ps/p/20v-cordless-blower-skin-6/

Can anyone vouch if this is powerful enough to blow dry your car for touchless washing?

    • From my research on YT, I don’t think this will be powerful enough, and you’d just be spending a lot of time blowing beads this way and that.

This would suit getting water out of crevices, but a microfiber towel would still be better on the panels, IMO.

    • Are you trying to do like those Dyson hand dryers but on your car? Maybe you want a wide flat nozzle to get those lines of air like the hand dryer. This one doesn’t seem to have changeable nozzles

    • my car has been ceramic coated and I use this for drying. It does a pretty good job

I still go over it with a microfibre towel to finish it off but this disperses the bulk of the water and gets water out of crevices and between the panels

Its great how light weight it is when paired with a 2.5a battery and you can easily reach the top of the car using it single handed

      • +1

        I agree.

For the car I use this to clear out the front windscreen sill, where leaves and other debris accumulate and to clear out the water from the side mirror housings after a wash.

Around the home, I use this to clear out the garage, roof gutters and side paths and steps.

The advantage of this unit is its compactness and light weight (when using a 2.0 or 2.5 ah battery).
The jet blower is great for clearing large areas of dust and debris.

  • This was 55 for a good few weeks not too long ago, the kit was 69 too

  • I need a cordless blower for mulch, guessing this is not strong enough?

    • for mulch, nah. its ok for leaves. i use it on the deck to do the 80% work then broom the stubborn stuff

  • I have this and use it all the time, good for grass and leaves which is all I need. Probably suits me better than the jet blower which is dual batteries and probably doesn't last as long. This one has ill go for over 25 minutes with just the 2Ah IME. Also a lot lighter one would expect

  • This was this price a few weeks back at bunnings and $69 with battery. Had a look but build quality looks terrible. Thin plastic compared to others. I ended up getting a worx one for $55 off Amazon on special. Better quality and already have tools and batteries.

    • +1

Yeah, once you’re in an ecosystem it’s hard to go anywhere else.

    • +2

Whatever worx for you I guess

  • Was going to buy one of the twin battery line trimmers (ozito) but was curious if you can use any of the ozito larger capacity batteries, or you have to stick with 2x18..anyone know?
    this is the one
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-2-x-18v-cordless-line-…

    • I always use 2 batteries. The plastic line is crap. When it runs out going to get better line

      • Same here. Just bought the 2x18v line trmmer and having issues with the crappy line that was included. Need something tougher

        • I've had this for about a year. Agree the line is not good, but im still on the same spindle somehow and i have concrete and paver edging to navigate, its not that hard to get a feel for it. Overall its great bang for buck i reckon.

      • What is better? I figured they were always plastic!!

        • Bunnings sells better lines I’m pretty sure.

    • Pretty sure all Ozito batteries are 18v. There's a 2x18 trimmer and a 1x18. Capacities are mainly 2AH and 4AH but I think there's a 5.2 AH as well. I have the 2x18v trimmer and the 4AH batteries last ages. Easily enough to do a small back and front yard with tons left over.

    • You can use larger capacity batteries i.e. 3.0amp, 4.amp etc just stick to the official PXC batteries. They are all 18v.

  • If you want a blower with some power (i.e. big area, bigger leaves, blow stuff off your lawnetc) do not buy this. Hunt for the Ozito Jet blower, it is much more powerful. Sadly the days of getting it for $40 or whatever it was are gone but i saw it in Bunnings Dural today for $135. Still a good buy at that price imo.

    • This is the model apparently lighter.

      • I don't know what you are trying to say? Yes of course this is smaller and lighter, it only has modest power.

        • +1

No i am saying the new jet blower is different from the older one that was sold as low as $30.

          • @paulaus: Ok cool. It looked very similar on the box that i didnt notice a difference, i should have opened it. Most of the weight comes from the batteries though….. but as long as its still powerful any weight reduction would be good.

    • Had no idea a more powerful model existed!! Might investigate it - does it even come on sale, or too rare?

      • It did a year or so ago when it was around before but whether it was a run out sale or what i cannot recall. It basically vanished for a year after that. Its big so probably not what you'd want to use inside your garage etc but outside it kicks butt.

        • I just shelled out the $135 for a jet blower. It has a variable speed dial, so you can lower it for garage use. Boost button was fun outside as it felt like a jet engine.

  • This isn't expired, it's still valid in store. Plenty of stock for $55 at Bayswater today.

It is a bit weak, though.
