Any deals on the U3821DW please?

    • +68

I can’t get them to move on this. I offered them my cheap car and they still won’t move.

      • 👍

      • +9

You should have offered them your first born.

        • +30

          Calm down Satan.

      • +6

Ask them again and this time say the one and only

        GregFiona

        will be purchasing

      • Wow, they turned down your Camry.

      • Also waiting for this one if price drops to $1299

  • Nice one, S2722DC might be good for work!

    • +1

FYI it's only $8 more ATM, and not sure if there are any Dell discount codes floating around..

Edit: $18 difference now, price for tomorrow was changed.

      • Whens the next ebay sale on these?

    • Yes. After months of research (& wait for a good price), picked up the S2722DC for $310 for WFH…and that was one of the best decisions I made all year. Love it!

      • where did you get from $310?

        • Deal posted a couple of weeks ago

  • +1

    Some…….so there's more?? 🤨

  • +4

Thank you Dealbot for your service as always
Do you by any chance know if there is going to be another 4K monitor deal by Dell or black Friday or Christmas as I’m hanging for a 4K monitor.
Hope you’re well again thank you.

    • +16

Let me get past this week first. Sorting out a 3080 laptop deal next (not with Dell).

      • eagering awaiting this one thanks bot!

      • Sweet. In the market for that.

If not with Dell, what else could it logically or hypothetically or theoretically be?! …

  • +1

Need a 4k monitor to go with macbook air m1. Please dealbot.

    • +1
      • +2

I have this one. The QS is a decent 4k monitor but 4k S2722QC (different from this deal which is QHD only) would be a better choice for Mac due to USB-C and 4k. Mac should not be displayed on anything under 4k res if you want the MacOS scaling to show up.

        • Good info… I am looking for a 4K myself (MBP) and realised after plugging it into my 27" QHD it just makes for a crappy experience after the mac screen.

        • This ^

My S2722QC was delivered today from the previous sale and so far, it's amazing on my MacBook Air m1. One USB C for display & power.

          • @M21: Do you know if the power delivery is suitable for a MPB 16". Normally has 100W charger….

            • +1

@ndr2h: It looks like it will work, but will charge slower than a 100w charger (S2722QC only has 65w PD). As long as you aren't pegging the cpu to the wall 24/7 it should keep you at 100%

  • +9

Any deals soon on the S3422DWG?

    • -1

Same thoughts too. Any chances @dealbot?

      • Yea!

  • Any deal on the AW2721D pleaseee?

    • +3

negotiation bruh… Takes time and skill…

      • +21

Not blowing my horn but knocking $50 off something that is likely to increase soon takes a bit of work.

        • -1

Should be easy for you. After all you are dealbot

        • Negotiate with sales rep over chat? How do they have authority for unlimited use codes?

  • Can anyone comment on how good the S3222DGM is or the difference between this S2722DGM and this S2721DGF?

    • The 27 is an IPS panel whereas the 32 is a VA, comes down to clarity when viewing from angles with IPS being considered better

    • Misread but it's the same difference between the two 27's you listed, one being IPS the other is a curved VA

  • S2721D ????

    • +1

No unfortunately. This is only a small sale from Dell.

Note it’s Dell and not Dell eBay this time.

      • +2

Soooo devo… Waiting do the S2721DS or S2721QS to come down!

        • +1

          Me too
          Be patient…it will come again

          • +1

            @cam83: It's… Just… So… Hard! Lol.

But yeah, thinking Black Friday for sure.

            • @iWan: QS is currently 30% off on Dell website, until after 11th
              $384.30, (-$164.70)

tempting with another 7% code $26.90

              $357.40

              • +1

@cam83: Tempting! but not enough for me… QS $300 or less and I am in!

Keep an eye on Shopback to see if they jack the Dell cash back at 7pm.

  • G'day Folks,

Looks like a good price for the S2721DGF.

Would you recommend this at the price tomorrow night or hold out for Gigabyte M27Q?

    Thanks in advance.

    • +4

      Get the S2721DGF!!!

      • +1

Concur, it has and is a brilliant monitor

  • +1

S2721DGF is back baby…grab it if u can…$398 (from memory) was the cheapest it’s been…I am tempted to grab another at this price!

    • Can I ask what is special about this monitor vs S2722DGM?

      • +1

        S2721DGF = flat, 1ms grey to grey
        S2722DGF = curved, 2ms grey to grey

brightness and contrast ratios are slightly different too but overall they're pretty similar

i've got 4x S2721DGFs and they're great, highly recommend them, especially at these prices

        • +2

          4x S2721DGFs

          The balls on this lad

    • +3

      Lowest was $359

      • Not sure if it will get back this low again but if it would maybe during Cyber monday sales

  • nice, I needed a new backpack

  • +2

  • +1

Diamond hands, surely it makes sense to wait till Black Friday?

  • +2

What a difference one year makes: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/579791

    • +1

I got my S2722DGF a couple months back for probably around $450 and I'm still really happy with what I paid for it.

Nicely goes along with my S2721DS bought prior too.

  • +1

    AW3821DW?

    • Nope. I’ve done this for $1299 via BAM a few times. Moving in now.

      • BAM?

    • I'm on the look out for AW3821DW as well, eBay 10% tech deal only brings the price down to $1,686.37 :(

  • Any 4k ? i need to match with S2721QS

  • This is a long stretch, but can anyone tell me if S2721DGF supports airplay in portrait mode so it fills out the whole iPhone screen?

Also is the S2721DGF able to wake up from sleep with just a mouse/keyboard movement?

My old monitor won't wake up from sleep with mouse movement so I'm forced to use a black screensaver, so in the dark I can see a black screen with blacklight which is annoying and also a bit concerning for power usage.

    • Not able to test airplay compatibility anymore (don't have any Apple products) - but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with a DGF, if it worked with another monitor.

However, for your second question, I can confirm that the DGF will wake up from sleep via keyboard/mouse input.

Just curious, did you tweak with any OS settings to do with display or sleep?

  • +1

Any ebay deals soon? I have a voucher and it might expire soon. Thanks

  • -2

Newbie here and no idea about monitors.
S2721DGF - will it be suitable for both streaming live sports and playing computer games?
    Thanks

    • More than suitable, possible overkill if you don't care about frames per second.

  • Very excited to grab a DGF at $400. Currently rocking a DGF and Dell 4k, wanting to replace the 4k!

    • How come you want to replace the 4K?

      • Not a fan of mix-matching a 1440 and 4k… Was ok when I had a ps5 but now I'm all PC

  • -3

I can live with overkill! :D

  • -3

I got the S2721QS as a work monitor at home.

Will the DGF be overkill to go along with the QS? I have a crappy monitor that work gave me as a second monitor and want to replace it.

I don’t have a dock and I use the crappy work monitor as a hub so will DGF be able to do that?

  • Would the S3222DGM be an idea gaming monitor for an 11 year old. The specs all look pretty good and it would be a big upgrade to what we currently have. Just asking for confirmation before biting the bullet I guess.

  • Really keen for a U3219Q deal - any chance of that happening?

  • +2

Dealbot as always you are an absolute legend! Thanks for the deals.

  • -1

    Am I missing something?

Like these aren't bad prices, but you can pick up way cheaper monitors with comparable size/specs for a fair bit less if your happy to go with another brand?

Like these aren't awful, add you get the Dell warranty and everything that's probably pretty good, but these don't look like the amazing deals people are making them out to be? Am I missing something?

    • you can pick up way cheaper monitors with comparable size/specs

      Such as?

      • -1

AOC? $386.65 with eBay plus. I'm sure there are better examples

        • +5

          VA panel.

          • -1

@HomeAlone: If you are looking for a POS monitor for 'playing spreadsheets' and junk something like that is more than fine.

            • +2

@Shermanpk: If you are looking for that then why are you in the market for a 144hz gaming monitor?

          • @HomeAlone: Are VA and IPS panel that much difference?

          • @HomeAlone: IPS at $372 then?

            • @ily: Price difference isn't massive so I'll always go with Dell.

Also I can't find many reviews on the AOC one

        • +2

You are talking VA on the AOC vs IPS on the Dell, different technologies that command different pricepoints.

    • +4

You will probably need to provide links so that people can analyze your reasoning.

If there are better monitors with the same level of support and same or better specs, I would certainly be interested

      • -4

So apparently, my comment was unpublished for referral links (I have no idea), but if you look on Amazon or a lot of other places for something like the Dahua LM28-F420 it's a VA panel (some people care but honestly, for a work monitor I don't care). It's a 28" 4K panel for like $250 to $300.

Obviously if you want the Dell level of warranty and support then go with Dell, but these aren't swinging off Dells nuts good deals like many seam to think. Some of the off-brands that offer really good monitors for cheap are AOC for example.

Personally, I don't Love the 1440P (QHD) standard, I personally prefer 1080P or 4k as 1080P is the current standard, and 4k is the upcoming standard in the main stream mind. QHD IMO won't penetrate with consumers as much, although it's a really nice resolution for gaming and such.

        • +1

It depends on the user I guess. I'd say that at around the 27" size, 1440p is essentially the go to for office use, as most people find 100% scaling on 4k at that size to be too small, and Windows is still weird with scaling to the point where running at native resolution with 100% scaling is a better solution. I am the one that arranges for the monitors in my office, and whilst I personally prefer 4k at 32" with 100% scaling, every single other person in my office chose 1440p at 32".

          • @witheredcouch: Yeah, I am shocked Windows hasn't done more around scaling. It's kinda crazy that in 2012 was when we were first getting 4k displays, and we've had nearly 10 years and Windows STILL has no quality scaling options.

If you are buying monitors for an office then Dell or similar is your best option, but I doubt a deal like these are really going to change if you order or not. If you are looking for a home office monitor (like I'd imagine most people who find these deals attractive are then I'd be looking at something like an AOC or the other off-brands.

        • +1

if you look on Amazon or a lot of other places for something like the Dahua LM28-F420 it's a VA panel (some people care but honestly, for a work monitor I don't care). It's a 28" 4K panel for like $250 to $300.

So your example for "you can pick up way cheaper monitors with comparable size/specs for a fair bit less if your happy to go with another brand" is a monitor with completely different specs that's aimed at a completely different use case?
