  • It's been posted before, but not for quite a while, so definitely to the benefit of the community. Thanks OP.

    To get $30, I went through;
    http://www.coastvoip.com.au/shop/tpg-save-up-to-30-p-458.htm…

It was painless. I just let them know once I had connected and they paid me straight away.

Best set a reminder in your calendar or something to follow up, as I almost forgot to.

    • I also went through coastvoip and had no problem. Their process is easy, all online. Follow instructions on the above link and all will be fine.

This company (not TPG) looks like a liar to me. Never received my cash back. After sending several emails without getting reply I complained to TPG but TPG said that was out of their control.
You may waste your time to go through them, anyway.

    • Coast or Warcom?

      • Hate to name it, but yes it's Warcom.

    • fair trading is probably the organisation to complain to. if warcom advertised the promotion then they should be accountable.

My rebate was cancelled without any reason.
I will revoke my neg if they'll approve my rebate.
I have sent them an email this morning. Will see how it goes.

    • Sorry to hear that. I had no problem getting my money back (from Coast) several months ago, but I have no reason to doubt you.

    • This also happened to a friend of mine - If you are planning on signing up anyway, might be worth a go, otherwise, I would suggest this shouldnt sway anyone, because it may not happen.

    • Just got reply from warcom that it was strange that my rebate was cancelled.
Anyway, they will process my rebate and send me the $20 to my bank account.

      Edit: Neg revoked!

  • I did receive rebate from them, just need hurry them frequently.

  • Can we get cashback for relocating (moving) ?

I am voting negative as people have been ripped off and I don't like it

    • I voted positive on your comment as it made me laugh as I pictured you saying it in a comical way :)

Apologies sash accidentally negged you while phone browsing.

  • so is it warcom that is the issue or coastvoip?

coast voip appears to be offering a better deal. also some people have reported troubles with warcom honouring the rebate

The price will be cheaper for consumer if they are not paying these company commission. I don't support this.

    • I would bet that the number of people changing to TPG through commission programs like this one would be well less than 1%. TPG knows that it costs them to acquire customers (ads on buses, papers, etc) and have worked out that if another company does the advertising for them it might cost them the same or less than acquiring a customer directly.

Considering TPG has just announced a 65% increase in net profit to $55 million, it seems that they know what they are doing. I very much doubt your TPG bill would be a cent lower if they cut out their commission program. I am not and have never been and do not know anyone who is a TPG dealer. Actually, I used to sell TPG computers back in the early 1990s. I'm sure they're super happy to have made the change to ISP from computer assembler.

  • is the $20 cash back is onetime, or we get cash back from every months bills?

      hahahahahha

      • what a silly question

Never recieve my cash back either beware!!!

  • They can't be trusted. I never got any cashback! Registered about 6-7 months ago + had whole heap of other problems!

  • I did get my cashback (mid last year) as I kept calling and emailing and submitting requests on the website. Shouldn't have to. If Coast is offering $30 and pay up then that should be the deal posted.

    BEWARNED BEWARNED BEWARE!!!

I hate to say it but the past 4 posts are exactly right. I also did not get paid by Warcom for this offer for ADSL2 services installed as long as 6 months ago. I have raised 4 support tickets and sent a number of emails (including to Paul) but they are still not paying.

The excuses Warcom have given me are: (1) they still don't know if the installation is completed even though TPG has copied [email protected], [email protected] and/or [email protected] on emails to me stating that the services have been fully installed and are active; (2) that they don't know the phone number for the service when they had actually sent me emails telling me what the phone number is for the service!; (3) that there's no proof that their referral code was used even though TPG have copied the above Warcom email addresses at each stage of the installations (copies of which have been sent to Warcom). According to Warcom this was purely coincidental and a mistake by TPG and had nothing to do with their referral code being used (but ask any solicitor - this is good evidence of their inclusion as a dealer on the sign up). I would advise anybody signing up to TPG with their referral to take screen captures / video capture the sign up process so you can hold them to their word!

Given that there are clearly a number of us who have been treated this way by Warcom, the ACCC would actually be interested in such a case (they now have an eye for computer dealers following their success against MSY who got fined $203,500). If you are interested in having your complaint dealt with appropriately, please send me a private message, and a group action could be on the cards.

As sash213 has said, we shouldn't have to go to these lengths to get Warcom to honour their offer.

    • last year i used a referral code (for another dealer) and all my installation progress emails were also cc'd to the dealer, so the dealer would know full well that the service has been activated. i assume they would also be able to verify with tpg anyways.

gomango, you are not entitled to a rebate, because you did not use the sign up link, you are required to.

This has been explained to you, about 15 times over the course of the last six months.

We do realise that you seem to believe; we are just going to pay you $20, so you will go away. But I can assure you - this will not happen.

We did not get paid for acquiring you as a customer, so we will not pass on a rebate.

      It's that simple.

If there is anyone else who has an issue with the rebate system, please do feel free to contact us via feedback [at] warcom.com.au and we will investigate and resolve for you as quickly as (TPG can get back to us) … possible.

We pay out about 2000 rebates a year, we however do not pay out rebates to those who do not follow the procedure correctly.

      Thank you.
      Angelo.
