  • Currently on kogan mobile
Very laggy slow and on 3G all the time
    Not recommended

    • Yes I got the buy 1 get one free deal last year has been a very bad experience, both connections are bad in two different parts of Melbourne. Will be moving back to Woolworths mobile.

I'd say that depends on your location and device. I've been using them for years and no issues. They do run off the Vodafone network so not as much coverage as other carriers but I get faster speeds at my home than I do on Telstra.

      • +1

I live sydney Metro.. i used to have vodafone but never been this bad..fone calls always cuts out internet slow…

      • Yeah same whenever a Kogan mobile deal is posted I see comments saying how bad the network is but I've been with them for like 5 years now and not noticed any issues.

    • How so? CATCH $109 for 240gb vs KOGAN $135 for 300gb/$150 for 500gb (if you splitsies BOGOF)

      • +1

Kogan 200 gb is $130. Less data and dearer. That is how.
Fair enough $135 is good as 300gb, if you need so much

  • Thanks I missed that Catch deal.

    • Catch still going

  • +3

Code expires 31/12/21. My experience with Kogan Mobile has been quite good. Works well in the locations I need it to.

  • +2

Typo, it is $300 for 500GB BOGOF :D thanks for posting, Kogan has amazing reception for me compared to Telstra (17 vs 47mbps on speed test consistent)

    • +1

ah, thanks for pointing this out LOL!

    • +1

      PM's you about this

  • Can use these vouchers to extend the plans of existing Kogan customers right?

    • +1

yes, you could redeem a voucher for your existing phone number (iirc, even an expired phone number).

      • +2

Just remember that if you redeem it before your expiry date you loose the balance. Always best to do it on the last day or morning after if possible.

  • I'm wondering if anyone of you Perth siders have had any issues with your Kogan connection? I've been with Kogan with no issues for a few years in Melbourne, but moving to Perth in a couple of months.

    • No problems in Perth for me.

  • They don’t seem to let you pay for this with Kogan credit.

    • +1

      Works here.

      • Are you a new customer? It won’t let me pay with Kogan credit card points.

        • No. I'm talking about Kogan credit not cc points.

          • @CVonC: Thanks. I find sometimes the opportunity to pay with points is on a computer only. As in this case for me.

sweet deal, getting a partner on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/classified like every year.

  • +1

    I want $130 BOGOF :(

      • I already got a Coles one for $95 :)

  • Cool, being waiting for this. Filthy missing out last year cos I had bought the standalone literally a matter of days before the offer came out … twice. I think they'll do it again around Boxing Day, but if these expire 31/12 anyway then I may as well get it now. Normally would prefer something running into next year by a week or a month, but close enough I guess! Worry about a fill-in gap recharge end of 2022 :P.

  • Took out their 30gb plan and used it in 21 days as opposed to my usual month with boost.

Has anyone else had fast data drain with Kogan?

A few days i'd understand but given i haven't changed my usage patterns i find it strange that i went through so much in 60% of the time frame.

  • can it be activated in Jan 2022?

    • No, the code has to be used before EOY

  • so can be delayed till after xmass to activate?
    thanks

    • +2

yes, just make sure before 11:59pm AEDT on 31/12/2021. Note that if you are new customer, porting number could takes some unexpected time. So, be sure to leave some room for that surprise.

      • Thanks

    • Are you able to confirm this works? I've read their terms and it says it's only redeemable at kogan.com.

  • I FINALLY GOT ONE OF THESE DEALS!! WOOOOO!!!

  • anyone wanna go double with me on the 500gb?

    • I have a spare 500g
