    Hey guys,

How come mine says "This code can't be applied to your order"

    • Is your account a non-Australian account, or was it when you first made it?, that often causes issues, I believe ebay can fix it if you contact them.. (i.e. if it was originally a US or UK account you may have issues with Aussie codes)

    • Change your ebay address to an Australian one.

I had the same problem as you, but now everything works.

  • Thanks guys, it's a UK one, I'll change it and try again.

    Cheers!

  • Tried to checkout - says "This code can't be applied to your order." for Australian address . Whom should I contact to resolve ?

    • -1

If all your addresses are set as Aussie addresses and you still have issues, contact the support chat, I believe they can set your account as an Aussie account…

    • Make sure you clear the cache after you've changed to Aussie address in your Ebay account.

Any chance to get a deal on 32" 4K Dell S3221QS??

    • Many ozbarginers asked for one including me but so far no deal on this model.

  • Thanks. Got one. Delivery 5th of Jan- if it helps someone

  • Very nice deal - I already have S2722QC from a previous deal - how will it go having this side by side with a S2721QS apart from the obvious connectivity differences? They look fairly similar in the preview pics. Should I order another S2722QC or save some money with this deal?

QS has better contrast ration than QC

  • Is u2720 much better than this? It’s like $800 difference

    • +2

U2720 is expensive because of the following reasons:

      • It supports USB-C/PD 90W.
      • HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C/alt-mode combination (the most versatile setup).
      • 4 USB-A port hub.
      • HDR400 (okay, still fake HDR, but better than S2721QS).
      • UltraSharp, so the monitor has a high chance to be factory calibrated better (it's quoting Delta E of less than 2).
      • No built in speakers (S2721QS has cheap speakers built in)

Unless you have a laptop that needs USB-C/PD 90W, you would be pay the premium for that. S2722QC is a cost cutting version of this monitor, but Dell replaced the DisplayPort with another HDMI port on that one so it is less ideal for PC desktop. S2722QC does appear to use a similar firmware to U2720 (because of USB-C) and does benefit somewhat because of that.

      • good summary. thanks mate.

have decided to buy this one.

  • good deal.

  • yep ordered

  • Could you watch Netflix or Youtube on this so doubling as a TV ?

    • Yes, if you connect Google Chromecast/ Amazon firestick etc.
Although the sound quality would be just okay

    • That’s a thought.

  • Is 4k more power hungry?

  • Bought the S2722QC last week and just arrived today.

Using it with a MacBook Pro m1 2020.
USBC is a nice addition but I'm still getting used to the scaling with the pixel density. Probably should have just got the one in the post.

    • Is it b/c paying extra for USB-C was not worth the price difference?

      • Not worth 4k as I'm not using at full res.
USBC is nice but I have a dongle which would have achieved a similar result.

    • Mine arrived in the post today too. Not sure if i should open it or return it.. will only really be used for wfh..

  • 8261 clicks.. if they sell 1/4 of that many it will be end of next yr for supply….

Item title says “800u” so I assume only 800 units for this deal.

      Currently 724 sold.

  • Does this one (S2721QS) have the same panel as the S2722QC? The specs looks similar except the S2722QC has more ports (including USB-C).

    • Specs wise, S2721QS has a higher contrast ratio. The annoying part of S2722QC is that Dell did not provide a native DisplayPort input. So, for a desktop PC, you will most likely use HDMI. Question is, does freesync work properly with HDMI? We know one of the issues with S2721QS is only the DisplayPort is confirmed to do freesync properly. It's unlikely Dell addressed this in S2722QC.

While it is technically possible to still do DisplayPort on S2722QC, you need a special type of cable (most of USB-C to DisplayPort cable goes 1 direction and it is from USB-C to DisplayPort, you need one that goes the opposite direction). It's a pity that LG's competing product to S2722QC is hardly ever on special, that one has 2xHDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C.

      • Is the LG model that you are referring to the 27UL550-W?

So in summary has the S2721QS a better panel than the S2722QC? Not sure if the S2722QC is worth the premium for USB-C alone (I would only use the USB-C to power a notebook not connected to the monitor for display purposes).

        • Not sure whether S2721QS actually has a better panel. From my brief look at both of them, I cannot quite tell. Haven't be able to see them side by side and haven't got time to measure the brightness and check the colour accuracy yet. It is just a bit weird the contrast ratio on S2722QC is quoted to be lower.

          27UL550-W doesn't have USB-C.

The main selling point of S2722QC is the USB-C part. You will most likely get better setup with it compared to a dongle. It depends on your laptop. If it supports USB-C/Alt-mode DP 1.4, then with the correct dongle, it is probably fine. If your laptop only supports USB-C/Alt-mode DP 1.2, it is quite difficult to find a dongle that supports HDMI 2.0a 4K + HDR (the + HDR is the bit that's hard to find) for a USB-C/Alt-mode DP 1.2 based dongle.

          • @netsurfer: Thanks. I decided to go with the S2721QS in the end.

    Any deals on a 32 inch 4K?

  • Yes. Same panel. I've had the QC for a few weeks and it's great. Just bought the QS to sit side by side. https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/compare?ocs=210-axfo,210-bcc…

  • +2

I will second the 32inch 4K as I have purchased 2 x S2721QS and a really nice center 32in 4K monitor would be grand with the nvidia quadro p1000…. Hope springs eternal…

  • souled out.

  • I was considering and now I missed it

  • I bought two of these for my M1 Macbook 13" to replace my single 4k monitor I bought 5 years ago. Looks like I will have to alternate between them for funsies… :/. Currently trying to cancel my oder.

  • Dell is really flooding the market with their 27" monitors

  • How long is the HDMI cable that is included, 1 metre?

  • Was keen to get one at close to this price. Anyone seen any other deals or know if it's possible to put one on back order?

  • Dam, I ordered about 1 min after it opened, initial delivery date was 24th Dec
Just checked now and it’s 4th Jan :(

    • 5th Jan for me. Still curious as to when they plan to actually ship them out.

      • I contacted them today and my order (placed on 24/11) now has an estimated delivery date of 12/01. The eBay order page still says 24/12 to 05/01. It will be shipped by StarTrack.

        • Contacted Dell via eBay the other day. They were able to provide me a link to my eBay order on Dell's website. Using that, the planned date to ship to me is the 13th of January, with an estimated arrival date of January 19th.

          • @MrEnigma: Oops, you're right about there being 2 dates. The ship date is listed as 12/01 and the arrival date as 14/01. I'm sceptical.

            • @Quppa: My order was shipped yesterday - hoping for a Christmas miracle.

              • @Quppa: They arrived today. What a revelation after more than a decade using 1920x(1200|1080) screens.

The monitor stands aren't all that sturdy - the screens tend to wobble a bit - and the panels have a bit of variance according to my calibration tool, but very impressed for the price.

my monitor arm from AliExpress had arrived, monitor from Australia won’t be here until Jan.

Got mine today. I bought two and for some reason I am unable to set them both to 4k.

    I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad X390 laptop and a ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen2.

When I connect only 1 monitor, I can set them to 4k. But when I try to connect them both, they max out at HD and can't scale higher?

  • Pleasantly surprised to have it arrive yesterday just before Christmas, startrack does work fast.

  • FYI for this experiencing coil whine - Disable the speaker in the monitor settings. (pressing the buttons on the display itself)

I have external speakers and won't ever need the internal ones, one of the two screens I ordered had a coil whine in it, disabling the internal speaker stopped this for me.

  • I ordered a pair of these and I've just set them up.
Does anyone know if they have a film on the screen as a protector. It's not obvious (with a tab for them to be removed like many other screens) but if you look closely in the very top corners of both monitors you can see a slight air bubble/not completely flush.

Sorry, this may come across as a dumb question but I'm hesitant to pick at it incase it's not meant to be removed.
