Just spotted the banner for another $5 bonus from ebay in the Shopback app. Activation required.

Cashback has been increased to 8% from midnight to 2am.

This should go well together with the 100% cashback on the $15 ebay gift card.

$5 eBay Australia Challenge Terms & Conditions

  • This challenge entitles you to $5 bonus cashback when you spend $5 or more in a single transaction (minimum spend does not include GST charged at checkout for international items, delivery and all other fees) at eBay Australia through ShopBack between 12.00am AEDT and 2.00pm AEDT on 26th November 2021.

    If you use the 15$ gift voucher, do you have to spend at least 20$ to reach the $5 minumum spend? Just double checking as when applying the the gift voucher on the checkout page, its says the order total is 0$ on a $15 item.

      No I believe $5 is the total spend of the order not how much you actually pay for it in $ value.

      Gift Cards are eligible for Cashback at eBay.
      So you will still earn the bonus if you pay with a Gift Card.

        Hi GYB, got a $10 item from eBay around 130am using Gift Card bought on the MC bonus. The MC bonus already in account but no tracking for the eBay bonus and cash back yet, shows in clicked history though. Maybe a delay due to volume? Cheers..

          It states in the app terms and conditions there will be a delay. "The $5 bonus will be added to your account once your regular cashback turns confirmed." So you buy, ebay eventually (is supposed to) notify Shopback you actually bought something, then the $5 bonus appears.

    Far out using phone apps to buy stuff online is a complete PAIN IN THE ARSE. Open the Shopback app, which needs to open the ebay app, which needs to open the Paypal app, which then won't let me type in the correct password because the keyboard is locked out for some reason and only shows an old password… I finally work out how to get it to allow me to type in a new password, but the Android keyboard has one of my password characters so deeply hidden in a menu somewhere I can't find it… so I had to email half the password to my phone via my computer, open the gmail app on the phone to copy/paste it… I'll be extremely surprised if this cashback works. I get none of this bs when using a computer - it JUST WORKS, everything is done in the same browser window. Why businesses insist on forcing us to use these awful clunky phone apps is beyond me!

      The app is only required for activating/starting the challenge. After that you can click through ShopBack on your computer and make the purchase.

      Wait… when you say not tracked, do you mean no evidence you've made a purchase at all in the app? Because that's what I did… I got a $5 bonus slot, clicked through to ebay, bought something, and there's no sign I purchased anything in the app. (Not just no bonus has registered, I know there's a delay… but it's showing no recent purchases have been made.)

        Sorry to say but they are often very annoying because that bit thats in the charging port always

        So your solution is to keep the Buy multiple lots of those USB cables and keep them everywhere like Car, home, work etc (Because getting that USB attachment is so dam annoying and hard at times)

          Mine have been great. I've had a few for a few years, so I had enough of the insertable plugs for every device and the cables stay in the house and car. Two pocket wifi modems, a phone, and a tablet. The plugs are a lower profile than others, but there is some real junk out there with magnets that break when they snap in, are weak so disconnect easily, plugs with ridiculously high profile, etc. So I watched reviews and bought what seemed to be the best at the time (Wsken Mini 2).

          I leave the house, tilt the pocket wifi and phone to break connection, slip into my pockets. Later back at home they snap back in without fiddling around, no turning a lamp on a rainy day because it's dark to see which way around the plug goes…

          This was only a spare because the glue on one plug let go. I can probably glue it back together one day but meh. Plus they don't seem to be making my specific cables anymore, my devices are about 6 years old with micro USB sockets and still working fine, so I figured it was time to buy a couple of spares.

      probably best not returning one, how would you know which one the $5 is awarded to.
      it's just moreso annoying as I could have placed in one order and got a 3rd one free (and different colours).

        I contacted ebay customer service about that and they said I should have gotten a voucher, so they manually added one to my account, $5 no minimum spend!

          thanks guys, agree the $5 off $50 spend isn't great anyway, but in the past have been getting the odd $5 off without any minimum if some deliveries appear to be taking too long etc. The $10 off vouchers are better (afterpay or other promos). May as well ask them about it.
