    At this price, developers could buy their own apps and make 1% profit. They'd probably make more just reselling the cards but that won't increase the ranking of their app.

      Where did you get 1% profit?

      Apple takes 30%, GST takes 6%, developer only gets 64%.

        Why 6% and not 10?

        Buying your own app was mostly a joke. It's not very practical, most people on ozbargain aren't developers and it's against Apple's T&Cs.

        The GST is more or less irrelevant since you could claim back the GST you paid when purchasing the cards. It would cost you 1/11th of the profit you make on this deal, but that is all.

      Did u put the promo code into a postcode bracket? Or you need to sign in to your account and apply the promo code before payment.

      I only just created my account now too and it worked fine. Did you do it from the 'Register' button or did you try creating from the Checkout? Would not work for me when trying to create at Checkout so created account via 'Register' button and code worked when proceeding through checkout.

      Make sure you are logged in first when putting the promo code in.
      Make sure your'e subscribed to the bigw mailing list.

      I subscribed to the newsletter & that didn't fix it. Ticked all the interest groups, that didn't fix it.

      So I created a whole new account & this time subscribed to the newsletter on the registration page.. this time I got an email saying 'welcome to big w online' & the code now works!!! Thanks for the deal!

        Not sure if you can use for iTunes match. Have tried tried mobileMe, gift and iCloud with no luck. Still good for music, movies and apps. Anyone tried to pay for iTunes match with an iTunes card?

          Yes it works, you still need a credit card registered on your account, but it takes the money out of your itunes balance.

      Login and try again. I did experience the problem just now and solved after several attempts. You can either open another account or check if you subscribed to their newsletter.
