Not sure if it's a mistake, but only the S21 Plus is currently $500 off RRP on the Samsung website. This can be stacked with the trade in bonus of $300, and the usual vouchers ($150 or $250).

Price for the 128gb S21 Plus:

$1,549
- $500 sale
- $300 trade in bonus
- $100 EDS code
- $50 newsletter voucher
= $599 after discounts

This assumes you are not returning the phone you are using for trade in. This works out to be the same as this popular deal.

Alternatively, if you have a CDS loyalty voucher, you can use that in place of the EDS and get an extra $100 off. The vouchers are supposed to expire in 30 days (newsletter) and 7 days (EDS, CDS), but I have had months old ones work fine at checkout.

Trade In - $300 bonus discount
You have to apply to do a trade-in to obtain this discount. That means downloading the trade-in app on an eligible phone, entering credit card details and getting the trade-in number to enter at checkout. You do not have to actually send it in when time comes. Based on previous experiences, you will not have to pay back the $300 discount (or any administration / penalty fees), but will have to repay the trade-in value of your phone.

Newsletter Signup - $50 MA code

Chat Code - $100 EDS code

    Yesterday i entered my old Samsung phone IMEI
    number to trade in . However i was using my iphone 12. And trade in app registered my old S9 imei number but registe The device as IPhone 12 with $745 trade in discount.
    And i used prepaid credit card to pay the balance.
    So my question is what happens if i dont return any of the phones? They definitely can’t charge on my credit card

    To confirm for the trade-in , can I use any old eligible device download the app get the trade-ion code and not send in the phone? Afterwards, all that I need to do is repay the trade-in value (not including the trade in bonus of $300?). Will this affect anything else?     So I just got off a chat with Samsung and they told me this:
    A couple of important reminders;
    - Loyalty Codes can only be used on our Regular Online Store (not usable on Education Store and other Partnership Programs)
    - Loyalty Codes can't be used together with $50 Sign-Up Bonus
    - Loyalty Codes are only valid for 7 days
    - Loyalty Codes can only be used once per transaction
    - Loyalty Codes can only be used with flagship devices (S21 series, Z Flip3, Z Fold3)

    They gave me a loyalty voucher instead of a chat code. Is there a difference? Important note also said "
    - Loyalty Codes can't be used together with $50 Sign-Up Bonus" :(

      Seems like chat code can be used with $50 sign up but not loyalty code. In the past s21 ultra deal, could use loyalty together with sign up code. Maybe it has changed.

      So how to specifically get chat code? Just ask straight up for a chat code to use for purchase?

    They have updated the T&C now you have to upload your ID on the Samsung Trade-up app.
    It may affect your credit score if you don't return you old device

      lol, it only affects credit scores when u owns the money. in this case, they will just take the money out of your CC. u own them nothing.

      same as if the phone u send in is not as discribed. they will return it to u and charge ur CC, will this affect your Credit score? lol

      Trade in ID linked with their personal details,DOB ,address and Credit card linked to it. So no one will share Trade In ID.

          Since you won't be returning the device that they own, they will get charged the trade-in value (even if it's only $10) from their credit card. The EDS code would only be useful to them if they were actually buying a phone, in which case they would also be needing their trade in id for the extra $300 discount.

      tbh the samsung trade in bonus more than make up for this if you stay in their ecosystem.

      iphones hold their value much better but you are also typically paying more for them upfront.

    Have they charged anything on your credit card?

    Can they default you if you don’t send the phone back and your credit card can not be charged by them?
