      • Sweet guy

Hopefully you get something out of it too like a referral or small Commission

  • Wow adding a graphics card is $699 or $849 gee

    • I don't think entry level graphics is a lot better than AMD integrated graphics, but uses more power. Probably most of the benefit is from the VRAM.

  • Any chance this is touch screen?

    • Not that particular one, but I believe it has an upgrade to a touch screen for $150 or something?

  • Is this integrated graphic any good for casual games like Valorant or Rocket League?

    • It'll play those 2 games, just not on 2240x1400 resolution or on the fancy graphics settings as that's a little out of reach for an iGPU.

      • Thank. Looks like downgrading to the 5600U cpu and upgrade to the mx450 graphic makes it almost the same price at $1199. Is this a good combo for the purpose of the 2 games I mentioned?

You will lose a bit of battery life by going to a discrete graphics card but yes there is a appreciable increase in gaming performance with that combo. You still won't be gaming at resolutions higher than 1080p though, as the MX450 is by no means a powerful GPU.

It's a bit like the GT1050, and a little behind the GTX 1650.

  • FYI this also has the premium 1yr warranty upgrade.

  • And discounts on 2-in-1?
Particularly interested in X13 or L13.

  • How does this compare to say an i7 16gb ram?

  • How are people logging in to see the deals? I have a Lenovo student account but the link provided is taking me somewhere else…

  • Anyone got a recommendation for a study/work laptop besides this? M1 Air is also being considered but I would strongly pref Windows.

Go ThinkPad. But also factor in weight if you're carrying it around a lot
