It's so frustrating that this needs to be clarified.
I thought Microsoft were supposed to enforce "Smart Delivery" on any game coming out on XB1/XBX but it seems that's not the case.Battlefield 2042 has two different physical editions on xbox. EA want that upgrade fee.
It's so gross. Imagine paying extra for a pc game for a version with "very high" and "ultra" textures because the one you bought didn't come with that.
@theguyrules: Call of duty Vanguard is also in same situation with Activision wanting that extra. Microsoft & Sony both stated it was up to the developer.

High chance probably but at this cheap it's still worth it imo, more likely that games like mass effect will go first.
Probably wont be until 2023 if Avengers is anything to go by.

This is a great game. Just finished it on the PS5 yesterday. It's on the short-medium side regarding playtime, longer if you want to take your time and find all the skins and collectibles.
Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Mass Effect. The premise is basically the same: you're a human working with and directing your alien teammates in a squad to beat some universal threat. Only difference being that the Guardians are just a ragtag dysfunctional group of renegades who need to learn to work together first.
Action: 8/10
You're basically the weakest member of the team. The fun is in using your teammates' abilities and combo-ing them for massive damage. The way the game continually reveals new abilities to you up until the final arc of the game is really nice - keeps the combat interesting. Had so much fun learning new combos up until the very end.Story: 9/10
Hey, this won Game Awards for best narrative. I really liked how the story went back and forth and used all its characters in a meaningful way that contributed to the story. My only gripe is some of the vague technology/magic they use - I wish they could have fleshed it out or explained it better. Can't say much more about that without spoiling.Characters: 9/10
I bloody loved the characters. They aren't as charismatic as their MCU counterparts - but I feel like in many ways they're more relatable because you have a lot more time with them. Fair warning, there is a LOT of dialogue. Even on moments where I was on the Milano AFK on my phone checking something else, they were talking about topics relevant to the mission and what not. I personally loved what they did to Drax - he's so much more interesting and well-thought out over Dave Bautista's interpretation.Yeah bloody good game and for this price you should get it.

I held off buying this day one ($100ish)… Thought I got a reasonable bargain at $49… and now $28… Such a price drop in a relatively short time after game release.

As someone who normally avoids "licensed" games like the plague as they are generally all trash, I'm glad to took the recommendation and picked this one up, really fun game and great story.
Don't be put off thinking it's just a cash grab rubbish game like most licensed games are.
Licensed games are absolutely not usually all trash, there has been a huge amount of excellent licenced games over the 30+ years i have been gaming.
Your opinion just sounds like classic internet group think where the loudest and most negative sentiments are used to form your opinions.
I talked to someone the other day who was telling me how awful game X was and at some point i asked them point blank if they had actually even played the game… no, they had not.Haha wow didn't think this opinion would be so controversial. I thought it was pretty common knowledge most movie based games were pretty rubbish… Though to be honest they do seem to be improving of late. Spiderman comes to mind, even though I found it wasn't for me, bought it and sold it.

The Avengers game took a year to come to game pass and that one completely bombed.
Rockstars San Andreas while controversial arrived on gamepass on day one, and rockstars notorious about everything they sell to the public, probably the most cutthroat.
