    Pulled trigger on 3080 / 1TB / AIO 240 cooler and MSI case upgrade — feels weird to crack 2k for a PC without the extra drives and OS… never mind touching 3k!

    But, I spent so many hours waiting and thinking… weighing up BPC/ TechFast and the Dell 3080Ti deal, I feel like it has been $5 per hour of my time if I add up all the hours trying to keep up with the tech and finding a decent decision — 5600 vs 5600G vs 5600x…. oh gawd. come to think of it, could shoulda woulda for over a year now has cost a lot of time!!!

    I think the high GPU prices just wore me down and the old Nvidia 960+ in our fleet of 3 gaming PCs is really beyond end of life… Boys are happy!

        right!?!? so I can transfer my windows key from my old i5/960 PC to a new one? As the only thing useful in that old PC is a new 650w bronze power supply I bought 6 months ago to extend its life…

        It is kind of amazing that because that was a home built quality 2500k i5 PC, I was able to slowly upgrade it for a decade… sure, it is only good for Fortnite now, but it has done pretty well with RAM and GPU upgrade (8—16 GB and 560 to 960GB in that time)

          yeah worked for me but not sure if its only certain versions or temporary promotion or what but I did it a fair few times.

          Just pull the CD key from the old laptop. You can find it with a few different apps.

      i don't think it will show 'out of stock', but you are very likely to be put on a long queue if you wait too long.

      I got my 3080 system from techfast last xmas, and it's been working really well. it did take 2+ months for the system to be delivered though. my suggestion is that..don't hesitate too much if you really need a computer.

    hey guys need advice, i'm upgrading from my 5 year old alienware laptop (with a 1060 in it); i don't plan to get a monitor and want to just plug the new pc directly into my 65" CX oled which should be quite game capable. is the 3080 the only feasible option or can i get away with the 3060 ti/3070?

    i'm not a student so will need to fork out a OS/windows, should i go with it built in or buy aftermath/else where?

          you are just looking at standard 4k gaming right? So any specs on 3070 / 3060ti in 4k should give you a feel? The i5 CPU may take a bit of a load from what I read though.

          I have the LG c1 which runs up to 120hz HDMI 2.1, not sure on the CX range.

          I just played a bit of GEForce Now from Penta net on My LG C1… quite impressive that the in TV PC can stream the games (was a low level lara croft game on the free tier GEForce, but this streaming gaming is only going to get better and better and with the new 3080 RTX streaming service … if you have the fat bdwidth and low latency in your down pipes, should be pretty cool

          I am on aweful FTTN, but may soon upgrade to Pentanets 60 GHZ wireless solutuin

            @grang: i plan to play fps mainly on the pc, rest are on ps5, with fps need the low latecy so geforce now i don' tthink is ever feasible as there is almost always an unacceptable lag

      They would be using up their stock and the other stuff wouldn't be top of the line quality but would imagine not too great a margin

      Most people are adding stuff on too and it's a flat $200 off and not a % discount so with 3k or 4k spend same discount

      Definitely the best deal on 3080 so far though
