  • Well it run dota 2 max?

    • this is what i need to know too before i buy.

      • if you want to get good at dota you should actually play on low settings lol

  • why this code never worked for me even with plus? is it targeted?

    • Did you type be100of or bd10off?

      • tried both but no good on laptop or android phone.

  • Anyone know how much better is the GTX1650 compared to a GTX 950m

    • That would be a fair upgrade, probably about 2.5x as powerful

I bought this laptop from Harvey Norman at 895(from the other old posted deal as mentioned in this deal…) on 21/12 and saw this…

Luckily it's just 5 days today (within 7 days) so I went straight for a price match for 795 - yes, not 715 but 795 only (the Binglee website price is 795. https://www.binglee.com.au/products/acer-nh-qbzsa-001-nitro-…
as they dont take ebay as a price match I can't use 10% extra discount from ebay)

Their price guarantee said to match in 7 days after purchase clearly in their website so I think it should be easy?

But guess what, I was refused to match, as HN customer service saying their item(same laptop!) has an option to buy another headset(I didn't even buy that additional option) so it's NOT the same laptop…

My purchase is just a laptop, which is 100% the same model product as per BingLee deal and you wont believe they just don't agree with it to be a same item for sale!!

Well I have logged a complaint in their website… if no one from HN is able to resolve this, I will never ever buy a single product from there again.

And I would suggest you to also take extra care if that's the case, as their policy would be a joke when they will try to find anything to void it ( think about it, they can always include an option to buy a mouse/ a keyboard etc in purchasing, no matter you buy it or not, it's not the same product again to match???? what the heck?)

    • Did you try this through live chat? I bought the laptop from HN too so I’m to try the price guarantee as well

      • My experience is from live chat

    • some feedback for the price match story. The shop manager from HN actually called me back after my complains and offered me the normal price match(with 795 binglee price) so happy ending
Well done Harvey Norman store(though their online team is not really very helpful)

omg, still can purchase after 130 units sold. How many stocks do they have?

    • They must be having Christmas.

    • Wednesday morning*

      Checks online sales*

      Wtf…..

      • Likely, someone forgets to put the max. amount

    • Jarrod's a good reviewer but those clickbait titles.

  • if this can run cod mw 2019 on lowest settings the it is good

honestly it might actually run some games like overwatch, dota 2, csgo, age of empires 2, etc just gotta either play super old games or super low graphic settings

but yeah don't expect it to run stuff like bf2042

  • 2.5 kg looks heavy … not something you'd want in your daily tote bag ?

    • For travel you want laptop less then 2kg.
      1.5 kg if possible.

  • Either Bing Lee have an infinite supply or some people will get some disappointing emails on Wednesday.

    • +1

I think they have enough supply. I just enquired something through eBay. The BL representative replied me my order has gone through their warehouse and item is in preparation for dispatch. Fingers crossed

Would people recommend this as good value for a general work laptop, no gaming? Would use it for video editing / processing

    • A bit late now. For this price it would be hard to find something better, even for general work.
However, this is a particularly good value for gamers because it has a dedicated GPU for gaming. Although a pretty old GPU it's far better than integrated graphics on most laptops.
For work, ideally you want a nice screen, more CPU cores and more RAM… and depending on requirements more portability.
If you have access to the Lenovo education store they seem to have the best deals and good build quality.

  • Back in stock with 5% only… Worth pulling trigger?

    • +2

go for it. My one already has tracking number

  • Got mine today.
With the power plug, you have to push it all the way in, until the charging light turns on.

    • Good tip. Figured that out the hard way. "WHY WONT IT CHARGE?!"

      • haha, I said the same thing!
Overall happy with it. For $730 it would be very hard to find a better laptop in this price range with this spec.
Build is pretty solid, screen at 144Hz is OK, ram you can upgrade to 16GB, 2.5ks is alright for home use (for travel I would get a different laptop).

        • Got mine on Thursday (Brisbane)

When I opened the package I found a $100 wine gift card, also there's a promo running till February to claim 2 games.

          https://acerpromotions.com.au/intelgearup/

Btw the laptop is great! I think my best bargain of the year.

    • That’s good. My one still in transmit to Albion park for more than 24hours

  • have u guys received email receipt yet?

    • There's no receipt from eBay as far as I know, I just used a screenshot from ebay for the intel/games promo.

  • Has anyone upgraded to Windows 11 & is it reliable (drivers tested)?
I don't know why it does not charge via Thunderbolt4 USB-C. Maybe after Win11 upgrade?
Any suggestions for RAM upgrade? just received it & planning how to configure it.

    • It does not support USB charging.

Crucial CT8G4SFS832A 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz CL22 if you just want to add to the existing 8gb ram.
