  • Insanely good price. Especially with SB.
I ordered mine 2 days ago for the normal 15% off. Pity it's been shipped or I'd cancel and save another ~$250.

    • Could you return if you haven't opened it yet?

Shopback unlikely to be honoured since the coupon code does not appear on their website, otherwise still a really great deal.

    • Thanks for this. Never realised it had to be listed and would've missed out. Will go with CR.

      • Same applies for Cash Rewards, its in their T&C's

edit. I see someone else mentioned Cash Rewards has it listed 👍

        • Yeh, just double checked and CR have listed this code so will use them. Thanks again!

Coupon is on cashrewards website for 2.8% cashback

Very tempted but will wait to see if 2022 brings better deals on this camera as its the one I want.

I've been waiting for a while for this. I don't think it's likely you'll see a cheaper price until a new model gets released.

    • Might have to wait until Boxing Day next year. I see it's the one you want, but likely not the one you need :)

      • Had to go for it in the end and couldn't resist any longer, as I'v been waiting for a while for this one to get down to the $4500 mark. Final cost was $4468.

Not sure how OP managed it for $4553.

        • My calculations matches with OP of $4553(or $4361 with cash back), I'm curious as to how you ended up with $4468

          $5948 15% off = $5055.80
          additional 5%($252.79) off of $5055.80 = 4803.01
          $250 Canon cash back = 4553.01

If you was to include cashback:
          $5948 15% off = $5055.80
          additional 5%($252.79) off of $5055.80 = 4803.01
          4%($192.12) cash back of 4803.01 = $4610.89
          $250 Canon cash back = 4360.89

            @Broke-Ken: I made a mistake where I put $200 cash back instead of $250.

            My calculations.

            $5055.80 (with 15% off)
            - $252.79 (extra 5% off)
            - $250 cash back (mistake the first time around when I put $200)
            - $134.48 (cashrewards @2.8%)
            = $4419 total paid.

  • Damn. Paid ~3500 for the R6 earlier this month from Amazon.

    • I just bought from Amazon last week. I'm now issuing refund and will purchase from digiDirect.

      • nice. Should just ask them to pay the difference

        • I did. They won't do. Ah well.

          • @itstuan: Did they approve your return request? I presume you have opened the box? The reason I ask is because they sent me a warning email even though I have only exercised my rights to return (they were genuine issues) 5 times this year.

            • @Davesday: Yeah they approved my return request. The box was not sealed so I just only quickly opened and look inside. I have not returned anything so far this year so won't likely get any warning. Your warning email probably just a systematic reminder when you hit the mark. But I'm sure they wont do anything as it was genuine issues.

              • @itstuan: Yeah I replied back the email and they keep sending me standard replies saying I returned them in non-original boxes when I returned them with all things intact. In the year before, I have returned more than 5 times and nothing happened.

Curious to know, are you able to share with me what reason you used for the return?

                • +1

@Davesday: Just better price elsewhere. Regardless of what reasons you use, it's only for preferences. I don't think it will decide the outcome of the return request.

  • Now where are the RF lens deals ???

    • My wish list RF 28-70 f2 😁

      • Same … the cheapest I find is from CameraPro for $4299 for the 28-70. But somehow does not sound like a great price. Also would love the RF 70-200 2.8 and the RF85mm 1.2. All way too expensive. I use the adapter with my old EF glass and just can't justify the prices.

The Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 STM lens for $412 from Digidirect (-5% with the voucher and -2.8%cashrewards) sounds like a good deal.

For the 85mm, I bought the Samyang RF 85mm f1.4 instead. Only about $1000. It's actually really good and so I'm hoping Samyang will make more RF zoom lens. Until then, Just going to use adapter on EF lens.

          • @itstuan: Yeah … the Samyang looked ok but I guess my old EF 85mm 1.2 still beats it (and works now really well with the new AF).
