AliExpress 20% Cashback on Affiliate Products (Was 5%, $15 Cap, 6pm-11pm AEDT) @ Cashrewards

2570

It's been a while since we've had a cashback increase at AliExpress with Cashrewards so I've organised this deal with TA from 5% to 20%. It kicks off tomorrow on the 6th from 6pm to 11pm AEDT. This increase will both offset the GST and give you some more back.

Please ensure you check the terms and check if the product you want to buy is eligible for cashback from the link below.

During the 5 hour promo, cashback for AliExpress is capped at $15 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made, and applies to the purchase of affiliate products only (see terms and link checker below). Valid 6pm to 10:59pm AEDT 06/01/2022.

Important: Cashback is eligible only on purchase of affiliate products. Check product eligibility on this link by entering the product ID or URL. Ensure you click 'Shop Now' prior to purchase. Claims will not be accepted for purchase of non-affiliate products.

Cashback is ineligible on the purchase of face masks, medical consumables, gift cards, virtual products, coupons, travel, ebooks, AliExpress Top-up, and any non-affiliate AliExpress products.

Empty your cart prior to clicking from Cashrewards. Add items to your cart after clicking from Cashrewards.

Confirmation of delivery or goods received must be made on AliExpress within 90 days of placing your order to be eligible for cashback.

You must return and click through from Cashrewards every time you make a new transaction/purchase.

  • Thanks Clear. I’d had stuff in my cart hoping for a Cashback and prematurely pulled the trigger last night.

    • +7

According to lots of emails in receive… There's a pill that can help with that. Lol

      • Can I order from Aliexpress ;-)

        • PP non-express

      • I think they made a sequel movie on it recently… The name escapes me but I think it's matrix or something like that

  • +15

Maximum purchase of $75 to get the $15 capped cashback. Anything over $75 won't receive any additional cashback

  • +1

Nice little bonus! Got a few things in my cart ready to pull the trigger on

    • +5

Aren't we supposed to add the product into cart post clicking through cashback sites?

      • +2

That's for Amazon… Most other sites are OK with prefilled carts for cashback. Or at least AliExpress is… Uniqlo… eBay…

  • -2

That's if you can wait for at least 2 months…

    • +2

For what part? All my AliExpress orders have been arriving in 2-3 weeks since the AI in the AliExpress Standard Shipping has been choosing ePacket for me :)

      • Canino is slower than a snail.

        • +1

Not as bad as China Post where orders took 4-6 months in 2019. Sellers aren't supposed to use untracked shipping anymore so that's why Cainiao is used. Owned by Alibaba so it's subsidised and offers 'tracking'.

With AliExpress Standard Shipping the seller ships your order to a distribution centre where Alibaba's "AI" determines the best shipping method. I guess I've been winning that lottery by scoring ePacket.

I don't mind paying an extra dollar or 2 for better shipping anyway.

      • +2

It's been a lottery dip for me, some arriving in a 2-3 weeks, some taking 4-6 weeks where i then get what is 4 packages that have been packaged again into 1 combined package. In the tracking i can see some things have been shipped domestically within China i guess to some sort of hubs which caused initial delays as well before it left the country.

        • +1

Combined is more to prevent the small packages from getting lost. It's like Christmas if you order a dozen things like me ;)

          • @Clear: That makes sense, but i don't really see that pattern for my orders and its definitely caused delays. I had one order where the items combined were basically the size of a large pillow. If this an AI behind it i dont think it likes us.

            • @Xizor: The AI really only kicks in when it's the AliExpress Standard. If it says anything else then that's the seller shipping direct to you.

        • +1

some arriving in a 2-3 weeks, some taking 4-6 weeks

Compared with AusPost 'Express shipping' with ebay plus, which has been taking around 2-3 weeks from Sydney to … Sydney.

The biggest delays are when parcels reach Au.

I'm still waiting on a $120 Christmas gift ordered from Myer on 11:Dec, shipped AusPost from Melb 13/12, reached AP Kurnell on 16/12, then …?

Or an ebay seller in China shipped CN 12/12, cleared AU customs 20/12, then hasn't moved since.

          • @CacheHunter: Yeah Aus post is a joke at the best of times, but with the exception of 1 item they didn't even attempt to deliver and didn't leave a card (eventually i went to post offices and they said oh we've had this for weeks your lucky its still here…. &^%@!) all the other delays have been before reaching Australia / usually before leaving China, at least according to the tracking. This was all around Oct/Nov, hopefully it was just a logistics rough patch.

      • I must say, Aliexpress can be quicker than ebay China. Agree, I was quite impressed I received an item in 2 - 3 weeks, even though it was shipped from China.

    • I had something arrive in a week using the cheapest China post, this was in early December.

    • Some items have Aliexpress standard. That's six days at best and more around 11 days.

    • Depends if it routed via Singapore. 2-3 weeks max if so.

    • My best case senarios usually within 2 weeks. Usual is ranging from 3 weeks to 6 weeks

    • AliExpress Standard Shipping is the bomb - 2 weeks or under for me usually

    • I bought foam tips the other day. Arrived in a week!

    • none of my 15 or so orders from the last 6 months has taken longer than 2 weeks.

Highly recommend using the PayPal option to pay. I've been burnt by AliExpress twice when it comes to faulty LCDs where they effectively sided with the seller by asking to return the screens for a full refund (at my cost)!
Never f'n again will get LCDs from AliExpress and if I do, I'll pay with PayPal and use their dispute resolution process..

    • As bad as it is the dispute process leans more in your favour depending on the membership level. I've done a few recently for packages that have been lost in transit. The refund approvals seem to be automated as they were instant. Currently have one where half the order broke since they packaged glass poorly.

      • I've a couple stuck in Au Customs allegedly… One is since mid Nov, another couple in Dec.
All while I've had numerous others arrive without issues.
These ones in Customs aren't looking good…

      • I'm a Diamond member. Did fat good for me. Been bitten a few times before, everytime with LCDs. Never had issues with low price items. Ali even deleted my negative review as I criticised both the seller and the biased dispute resolution process.

    • Haven't tried electronics but I opened a couple disputes for below $5 due to being sent wrong products (i.e wrong variant/colour) and the AI immediately refunded and opted for more over the amount I requested.

    • +1

@spy, Hi mate, did you get your refund back via paypal. I also got faulty sofa cover which Aliexpress refused to refund the money back and I raised with Paypal and they advised me to return the product at buyer cost. I would not buy anything from Aliexpress from now on.

I am just wondering here if you have received any resolution from paypal

      • That's how Paypal returns work, you need to return the item at your expense. They can cover up to $45 or something 8 times a year (refunded shipping).

        • $45 better than nothing

      • No. Pity I didn't have PayPal set up. Now I do so I can say up yours to Ali.

Cashreward should be renamed to "CashRejected"

    • -3

Cashreward sure but I'm happy with Cashrewards staying as is.

  • +6

Since using Social Good, I can't see ever going back these CR/SB for Aliexpress due to not being able to use coupons/credits etc. Even should SG tank down to 90% loss you are still better off because there is no rewards cap.

    • I'm at Day 6 after requesting funds out and nothing has happened, so not sure I agree with you here.

    • i agree, but I've had all merchants approve except aliexpress and I can't seem to find anyone else's experiences. That being said, I've withdrawn over 700USD from social good in 4 months. I don't get how they make money! I've also booked my future bookings.com accommodation at 50% currently with $1000USD pending

      • How long does withdrawal normally take? I have put in my first withdrawal last night and currently still showing pending.

        • I don't check straight away, but normally within 2 days it's there. I transfer to bittrex and sell to USDT, convert to LTC and transfer to Binance and convert it back to USDT (currently leaving it there) withdrawal fees for usdt was a lot higher and this worked out easier. How are you going to do it?

          • +1

@cheapass88: I have withdrawn it to Bitmart and probably will convert to USDT and see if I can send it to FTX.

          • @cheapass88: Showing my age here but I had to look up all those acronyms. Why stuff around so much transferring to different crypto currencies? What’s the benefit? I haven’t even considered any crypto yet. I use CR a bit.

            • @GeneralSkunk: Digital assets (DA) with smaller market capitalisation tend to have less market penetration and hence will only be listed on a limited amount of exchanges, and further on from that, a limited amount of other DA that it is paired to trade with.

Using the examples above - in order to move value from one wallet to another, it is common practice to trade your less liquid asset (SG) for a stablecoin (USDT) in order to preserve value, or one with higher liquidity (USDT or LTC). Transaction and withdrawal fees will vary depending on the DA, the network being used and the exchange itself.

Tl;dr - trade something that is relatively illiquid and for something is more liquid for more flexibility in order to put your funds to use and have more control.

      • +1

How long does it usually take from pending to being able to withdraw? I'm still waiting on purchases in last few days of Nov from Ali and eBay

        • Same, would love to know how long it takes to approve AliExpress cashback.

  • Tempting, but I keep getting my orders conveniently not track during these promos. Anyone have a fool proof way for these to track?

    • You can use the CR app, make sure that the products are affiliated and when the product is received ensure you confirm delivery.

    • +2

I would buy each item as a separate transaction, makes returns etc easier too so you don't lose all the cashback. I guess it is sometimes hit or miss, but usually it's only 5% and I'm buying some $15 item so I don't really mind, but I'll be keeping a keen eye on how my transactions go this time!

    • Put them in the wishlist first, add them to cart after clicking cashreward.

  • whats everyone buying?

    trying to find inspiration

    • +3

I'm getting a bunch of automatic foaming hand soap dispensers, everyone who has come to my house has said wow! and wanted one lol.
Very similar to the Xiaomi ones but has usb-c charging and is easily refillable

Lego base plates and lighting kits. Fake Lego building bricks- Lotsa cool designs on ali

      Baby toys for gifts

need a switch accessories, card pouch, slippers, jewellery organiser, kitchen tools like onion/vegetable dicer, coasters, blah blah… yea oops getting too much random crap aren't I….

      • Do you have a link to the foaming soap dispenser?

        • I got this last time for $16. Friend said she was pleasantly surprised it gives a fat lump of foam, compared to the sad pile her mijia gives

          • @sakurakiks: Do you have to use special foaming soap?

          • @sakurakiks: Seems to be a lot of questions saying that it dies after 1-2 months. Actually seems common for most of these auto foaming pumps

      • Please share your baby gift list! Friend is having one, and I know nothing about them (baby not friend lol).

        • Really depends on the age, but I started with rattles, small soft toys, those things they bite on for teething, things they hang on cribs. I really don't have much idea either, thought the atom-looking one was fun n engaging and these rattles were adorable

    • Headpieces, assessories, cool Korean cafe homewares. other home stuff.

Never - clothing, well maybe if you're sz8 but quality is terrible, electronics & co.

    • +1

      Xmas decoration for 2022 lol

    • Countdown visual display timer.

My 5yr nephew gets obsessed with playing games, so it's handy to have a timer set to 20 minutes. He can't tell the time so well yet though, so a visual indicator is useful.

  • Its been a while i didnt shop at Aliexpress and got a voucher code ($2-3) and its automatically applied as soon as i added items into the cart. How do i remove it.. i believe you wont get cashback if using voucher code right.. also i tried from aliexpress app if that matters

    • They're generally accepted

  • +1

Most of the products I'm looking at are not affiliate products. I don't think this is such a great deal.

    • +1

Depends on your category. I'm looking at some torches, almost all of which are affiliate sellers

  • Cashrewards link to AE keeps opening the AE app (iOS). Will that affect tracking, and if not how are people checking app pages to see if affiliate?

    • Yeah afaik

  • Thanks

  • +1

So if i'm spending more than $300 i'm better off to purchase outside the promo window?

    • Maximum purchase of $75 to get the $15 capped cashback. Anything over $75 won't receive any additional cashback

      ^so $15 off or 300x0.05=$15

      • Sure, so given that outside the window the limit is $50 cashback at 5%, anything over $300 should be bought outside the window.

    • Spend upto $75. For more wait for coupons or have two CR accounts?

  • store coupons allowed?

  • Cashback on the item, not shipping right?

    • Correct

  • Buying on Aliexpress, do you guys change to AUD or keep it at USD? Does it make a difference in Exchange rates?

    • +2

      Always use USD

    • I usually use AUD for my own convenience, but I think the consensus is you get a slightly better deal using USD, but depends on what credit card you use

    • +3

If you have a credit card with no forex fee it's cheaper to pay in USD.

      • standard mastercard westpac

        • What about crypto card

    • USD because our home loan provider waives FX fees. I think the rates are decent too, compared to PayPal.

  • +1

Be careful, I have had poor experiences with Cash Rewards not honoring the cashback. After several attempts they finally gave me the cashback for the purchase although it was for the incorrect amount. It was quite a hassle

  • Does cashback work when using your phone to tap-to-pay, rather than the physical plastic card? I've sent a email to cashrewards to ask this but have to wait 3 days for a reply, hoping to get one here quicker haha.

  • +7

Some people have asked what others are buying. Here some of my recent orders, though probably not suited for everyone.

    SJCAM C100+ Camera
    eScooter hooks
    eScooter bag
    eScooter shake reducers
    Imou Cue 2c camera
    Pokemon cookie cutters
    USB KVM switch
    rectal stickers
    Keyboard orings
    Double sided tape

    • +3

      Rectal stickers?

      • +1

Great for the office but you gotta play the long game. Stick it on obscure things not used often. Like the soldering iron and hot glue gun in my office!

  • +2

Confirmation of delivery or goods received must be made on AliExpress within 90 days of placing your order to be eligible for cashback.

I just received two seperate Ali purchases, both bought on 28th July 2021. Both had been disputed and refunded long ago. I msg’ed both sellers, just as a courtesy. One responded they’d changed the postage they used. I’m thinking Aus Post cleaned out their backlog over Christmas. I was surprised the address labels were still legible.

    • Do you know what shipping method they had used? Certainly sounds like China Post where they get tossed to the side and sit in China for months.
